- first thoughts on the B14 here, all details now removed to prevent CZcams demonetizing it
And the update is, this is one of two prototypes built specifically for a shooting show in the UK, the rifle has now been upgraded for full retail production with a slightly different bolt shroud and firing pin spring to cure the light strike issues, I was sent the wrong one by mistake.
Always like how you casually inform the crap out of us. Lol
Believed the hype that this could be a Voodoo killer. It did out shoot my Ruger RPM. But when my CZ 457 in a chassis with a 24” barrel arrived and tested against the B14, the CZ outshot the Bergara in a MPA chassis with CCI standard.
Probably because this has a tiny little airsoft barrel in it with a big fake carbon fiber tube over it.
They did fix the light sticks on this rifle. It smashes the rim now
I see what you mean. Mine only had two miss fires out of 2300 rounds. That’s bad.
Would you take that chassis off and put on a remington 700 in 308? I'd just swap my sps stock with that one or is it lighter than the hmr chassis in 308
Thanks for the video Chris, I'm looking at getting a B14 next year. What scope do you have on there out if interest please?
This is a Zero Compromise Optic that was supplied with the rifle for the review project
Great looking rifle Chris but I’ve seen so many review videos on this one where the reviewer is experiencing a significant amount of failure to fire’s.
Did you get to the bottom of the ‘issue’?
Cheers
Have a watch of both videos, the radius tip of the firing pin seems contrary to what other rimfire manufacturers prefer.....i'd certainly not try to reinvent what works
@@chrisparkin431 just watched it and I’m with you. Frustrating as hell on such a seemingly good little rifle other than that.
Maybe an easy fix but such a shame it’s not bang on out of the box (so close). 👍🏼
Personally, I’ll stick to my Annie 1761’s as they’re bloody good out of the box with the right ammo that I’ve found for my two.
Verygood
The barrel isn't carbon fiber wrapped. It's a tiny, tiny little barrel with a carbon fiber tube over it to make it look like a bull barrel.
Also it is a push feed, not a controlled feed.
this is a B14 RIMFIRE, not Centre fire. The steel barrel, is wrapped with carbon, tell me how this differs😂
@@chrisparkin431 Yes, I have one. It isn't a carbon wrapped barrel. It is a tiny little airsoft gun type barrel with a big carbon tube covering it. Check snipershide for pictures. Like the barrel is 0.40" diameter and the carbon tube is paper thin and 0.80"ish. It's a fake bull barrel, fake carbon wrapped.
@@spraynpray do you fell cheated by it?
@@chrisparkin431 Massively. I want the steel barrel version. It's very hot here in arizona and sporter barrels do terribly.
@@spraynpray especially badly wrapped in an insulator no doubt
The bolts when new have to heavy a grease which can cause the light strikes. A strip and clean, replacing with a more suitable grease thats less temperature sensitive.
this was mentioned in the video
@@chrisparkin431 I did notice after I commented. What did you find when you took the bolt home?
SR Wildlife management the firing pin impact is domed and a bit weak. Here is a detail photo on the video
Begara B14R Trainer / carbon barrel
where does the HMR come from ?
Hunting match rifle
Isnt this just the same vid you posted about 20 hours ago?
Yes but all safety captions were removed because CZcams found them offensive to their policies it seems
