Opey De Place is where I stayed my first month when I moved here back in April this year. I love it, it is my go to hotel when I come to Pattaya. The restaurant is pretty good too.
Opey de Place is an excellent hotel, there are always sunbeds available. There is also great and reasonably priced food that will be brought to your sunbed. I would advise taking a pool-facing room, as soi Langke gets very busy 24/7 so standard rooms are a bit noisy.
The Sports World Bar and Guest House is a bargain for the price, even the 500 Baht room. Thank you Daz for your work in finding these places.

I booked through their website, paid 500B deposit and recieved an email confirmation.😀
These guest rooms are usually around 600 B/d and 18,000/m, but the owner will jack the price up around 900B/d and 23,000B/m from October to March. Really appreciate that Daz excellent job.
Use the trifecta method for Thailand and live locally in Vietnam & Laos or Philippines. Simple as that or 6-3-3 or 2-2-6 then work back in your home country or have everything together in your home country then do it all over again switch up your SEASONS

Soi Lengkee has a lot of great values in hotels and guest houses. Miracle House and Admire House are also good budget guest houses on this Soi. I like soi Lengkee because it is a good spot near the action, and it also has many good restaurants, bars, hotels, and even a Gentleman's club !

Opey De Place looked ok but if the receptionist is a look at the standard of customer care I can expect I will not be going anywhere near the place. Rude, just plain rude. The Devonshire Menu looked very nice.

The Sports World Bar & guest house was definitely fantastic for price & size of rooms. But more importantly it was clean. Firm mattresses are a killer for me, so I guess I will have to check them before accepting any room. Thank you Darren, I appreciate your efforts showing us these places.

Brought back some memories 555 Opay was first hotel I stayed in 15 years ago, no bad place but preferred J ? P up the road, Devonshire was first restaurant I ate at as well & still use it today, great food & friendly staff

The big rooms in the second place are good, especially the second one. It looks nice downstairs, as well. I'd happily stay there. The third place was good, too. Balconies are essential for me.

I used to stay at j and p Court on soi lenkee.big pool and not expensive. Eat breakfast at the Devonshire most mornings

Hey daz ,another great review , I have seen the opey de place before , it looks very nice inside , rooms great , but the view is terrible, I guess that’s same on most bukayou places , the Devonshire looked excellent value for money , with a reasonable restaurant as well , personally, I prefer a pool to swim and exercise ,I liked the sports bar at the end , the rooms look very nice and clean and a very cheap price , i don’t know that I would want to sit On a balcony in this soi, so noisy, but for the price that they charge is an excellent choice and a bargain for a quick 2 to 3 week holiday from outside Thailand , for me the U.K. , keep hunting down bargains for us daz ,stay safe and keep healthy my friend 👊🏽🙏
Golden sea on soi bukhao is the same price and almost 4 stars
I am a little bit too high society for these rooms but I can see renting for a night on occasions when I don't want to go back to my main hotel room.
You just passed a lovely place very clean to just before open de place theres massage parlor below but door on left is it but you can get through massage shop cheap and imaculate call it bees place )

I have stayed in probably 7 places on Lengkee and have watched the football in Sports World but have never stayed there. Didn't it used to be a decent breakfast place that had lots of golf trips before the Vid? The downstairs was enclosed unlike now. Nice work!

Cant get more central than this , decent rooms for the prices. Sidenote, if one is staying at guesthouse with the pool they dont mind if you have cpl farang friends over to hang out n drink beers order food from reception area.If said friends perhaps dont have a pool. Have friends who stay their regular. thanks for upload
I think walk in is the best way to go so many places no need to book and i never travel in peak seasons

Sports world may be a great choice for my first week. I expect I will need to spend a few weeks in hotels until I find long term rental. I am thinking Jomtien for long term, but will have a "crazy" fund for first couple of weeks, LOL.

a good look around there ty. heading to pattaya in 3 weeks for a month. looking for 1 month rental. swimming and fitness are what im after on a budget of £200 ish for rent maybe higher but not too much. I did see a yt video of a guy staying at amazon apts with a big lush garden in the central court with a large pool and fitness. I lost the video in my extensive research.

Does the bird at the Devonshire understand the potential business that you're generating for them? It would seem she does not.
Sutus court 1 takes some beating for budget hotels in that area .All rooms are large with patio window and balcony .Opey de place looks like a prison cell for a similar price.The guest houses all looked excellent for the prices .I would easily stay in them if i had to.
Which is the nicest Sutus Court? There seems to be about 4 or 5 of them.
Id stay at the hotel with the ladies who dress like cheerleaders because I love cheerleaders

The last place for the price and the size of the room it's an absolute steal. one hotel in Pattaya that always is such a good price for its location is the Vogue, even during high season it is a very affordable hotel. I believe you did a video on it a little bit ago and it's looked amazing. Yes more guest house videos please!

745baht/day with balcony dont seem to be any 500+ rooms seems higher prices than quoted to you.
Hi well walkin to sports world bar 223/08/2023 the price was quotted 6.45bht a night as re video for room 2 sept 18-19 2023 paid 500 bht deposit. Just today 26/08/2023 Owner contacts us sorry my staffmake mistake room is 7.45 bht. So i decide no. If you booking remember to cross check price in writing before you book or pay deposit hopefully your booking will be the price quoted..
When you ask price say 100 blatt less can you bargain with them on price to lower it? They just need small refrigerators and microwave ang you’re set! Some of these are pretty nice rooms if they only had a pool at the back?
booked a balcony overlooking the pool about 5 years ago but they put me in that room they showed you , I complained immediately , those bars on the balcony I thought I was in a monkey house
they put me in the room I booked the next morning
the sports world rooms are very good , used to be the Haven , prices are much cheaper now
I would choose the deluxe room at over de place , balcony over looking the pool , bigger room , hotel has a lift , good choice Daz

I would love to get a chance to find some places that have 2 bedroom but a little more room for those people like myself who would spend more time inside with others than be outside. Would love to know if their are places like this in Pattaya or nearby. Thanks if you can connect me or do one of your demo's of these. may be closer to homes then condo's or something in-between.

Hi DAZ, would say the prices have gone up in general (accomodation, food etc) since last year or are they still about the same?
Only girl prices have really gone up since the pandemic (not last year) really since 2019
The ground floor rooms at Opey de Place are not for me.
I always prefer the upper floors. Good views and not barred/ Best rooms for me are the pool view rooms with nice balcony for a price of course. I never want a room to the road side. Soi Lengkee too noisy.
You didn’t check one important factor that I need to look at, and that’s wifi, since I do a lot online when I’m in Pattaya
Much better deals out there for that price range, that Opey De Place hotel looks depressing inside and I always wonder why anyone would stay there. 247 Boutique for example is same price or cheaper when i just booked it.

Another dump. The lady at Opey De Place clearly didn’t want your custom. I would have walked out. Lady at the second place was miserable as well.

Not for me but still not bad... i like a more resort style property and even hotels like COSY in n pattaya have rooms from $28.00 us.. with a nice pool and very nice lounge

I've tried booking that Opey de Place in the past, but failed. I think they sell out as it's quite popular for mongers who stay for a month or two
You really need to make yourself a "Check List"! You and other vlogers always fail to be consistent when asking questions about the Hotels, Condo's, or what ever the property you are looking at. Just like this video. One first place you asked about daily, weekly,monthly. You asked about a deposit. You asked about a gym. Restaurant etc. But on the second property, you zoned out. You failed to follow a format. This brings me to the point. You really need a list of things to ask for us. Please, please come up with a list of questions to ask, and stick to it at every property. I am sure when you edit your vlogs, that you say to yourself, oops, forgot to ask about a sauna, gym, hot tub. Thank you for putting up the money conversions on the screen. It really helps. So keep up the good work.

I'm intrigued, whenever I see a Pattaya streetscape I always notice a complicated tangle of (presumably) electric wires at 1st floor level. Is there a reason for this? It doesn't look too safe to my untutored eyes.
My Man ever the notice the look on the ladies faces when you show up asking to look at a room! Here we go this Old Guy wants to see a room and has NO intention of renting! What a waste of time. Not the owner or the managers the clerk just trying to get thru her shift. Pretty sure all the videos you have done you are well Known. Pattaya not that Big have been 20 times or so.! The guest house one and two actually okay but the hotel in the beginning off the video with barb wire in the window, in my country it’s called “ Prison “ a bit NO thanks and I don’t care if it had 10 pools.
I liked the sports world room #2 but that is the first time I’ve seen a hotel room with a toilet and a urinal.
