I rang the bells at bars quite a few times. It’s an experience you don’t often get in America. I met and hung out with Noki Thai more than a few times. Did the soapy massages. Had a blast. I’m also not old and fat so I was treated much better than most guys there are I am sure considering I watched people get rejected by bar girls and I never once did. Tijuana is way more expensive than Thailand. Count your blessings.

3k BF? Depends on the time. A couple months ago it was 1K BF at a popular agogo on LK after midnight, 0.8K after 2am, with a beautiful 20-something lady. Post BF it was negotiated 2K for 2 hours, 3K for 3 hours, max 3K and everyone was happy. But I’m a night owl and the discounted BF after midnight works well for me.

Wait are you sure Pattaya is still way cheaper then Australia and Pattaya is only one small city in the country, there are many nice and cheaper places to visit, and if you are just looking for that kind of fun you can find it cheaper just stay off the main areas and the price goes down, or better yet visit the provinces and the price drops drastically.

You are giving a scewed impression of Pattaya Das. Twelve years ago I sold Leo beer at 60 baht a bottle......I now sell at 70, which is fairly standard in Soi Pothole. Some bars in town sell at 60 baht all day. Average bar fine is 500 baht if you shop around. Agogo's are for Japanese, Koreans, wealthy tourists and mugs.
Not really, I made it clear that I was only talking about gogo bars. I have also done some videos on soi 6 and Pothole and said how they are still very good value. I'll do another soon to compare those sois to Wk St

Then your night out in America, surely doesn't include gorgeous girls sitting on your lap and giving you lap dance type of fun. Because I don't know where there might be strip clubs in the US, where they aren't pushing drinks for the ladies at a minimum of $10 USD. And a private lap dance going for less than $20 USD for a 3 minute long song. Well, maybe somewhere like small-town North Dakota, I guess.

I walked soi LK Metro last week and only a handfull of girls were young(20's) and cute. Most were overweight and close to 40 with too many tatoos, but these older women still wanted 160b lady drinks and 2-2500 st. I just laughed. This is what's happening all over Pattaya unfortunately.

Keep in mind that a lot of the prettier younger girls only stay for high season and return to hometown for low season. That is the price you pay for coming during low season
I like to think about the old prices. I've been to Pattaya three times in the last year and I cant help thinking about the late 90's when a bar fine was 150 baht and LT was 500 baht and at the time it was nearly 100 baht to the pound.

Personally I just get my Kicks below the waistline off the Thai dating apps. I pay around 1200 baht for a session that I negotiate to last at least 90 mins with 2 pops (usually I just manage 1 pop) and have a couple of sessions per day from different service providers...One in the afternoon and the other in the evening.. I also have regular service providers that service me for 2 hrs or more for 1K baht for 2 hrs or more.....I stay well away from that street where one walks on, no interest in blowing 1200 baht in 20 mins just on drinks
Gents clubs (MM, CF, etc.) are the best value for entertainment in my opinion. Last Friday was in MM (Soi Chaiyapoon) for almost 2 hours, had a lot of fun with the girl and the bill was 1,500 Baht. No curtained off play but was playful enough for the enjoyment. This trip I didn't go into any GoGo on LK Metro. Ridiculously overpriced. Yes, the standards of the girls in gents clubs are not very high but they certainly know how to entertain.

The question is how far the business owners are willing to push the prices. Because it is becoming less competitive compared to other countries. In terms of price, they are at the high end compared to what it costs in the West.
I've lived in PP. Barfines are still fair at $15-20. LDs are now not far off Pattaya at $5 USD each (180 THB). And workers will quote anything from a sensible $40 to hundreds. The catch? Cambodia and PP especially is a dump compared to Pattaya.
I did a comparison with Phuket and Bangkok prices recently on vacation. Phuket and Bangkok prices are still double and sometimes triple of what the prices in Pattaya are. Which means it's probably inflation because it's happening everywhere.
Inflation is happening everywhere, the guys on vacation can choose to get fleeced in the usual spots. Those that live there mostly full time will just know where to go to get value for money- GC's, the Darkside, etc. Pattaya is changing, but there's still plenty of fun to be had there.
Couple of observations. In gc’s they really want the rooms upstairs to turn over quickly. They have far more ladies than rooms, so they want the rooms ready. In a different venue, one chain of massage doesn’t do much massage at all, at least if you want Thai or body (foot is still normal). If you try to be generous whether Tree Town, open bars, aircon bars, you’ll get recruited for sponsorship or hit up for a phone or medical emergency etc. So basically, just having a reasonable budget makes you a cheap Charlie. Don’t try to make hostesses happy.
Pattaya was kind of a hidden secret in the 80s and going into the 90s..normies didnt go and even backpaking thailand was only for real travellers and student types This changed radically post 2000, mass tourism takes the shine and egde off everything eventually and costs rise

I was in insomnia, myst, Raas and Republic 2 months ago. With the membership card, insomnia is cheapest. Myst and Raas were more expensive and republic was the most expensive. It's the one thing I dislike most about about Thailand, no shame in ridiculous overpricing of drinks in clubs and skybars.
Daz, £6 for a last drink is a joke now, the last time I was there in 2022 I didn’t but one, you get some bad looks and called a cheap Charlie, however they can call me what they want they ain’t taking my money for basically nothing. Flights cost double what they used to but you can still get good hotel deals, food and drink is also great in the right places. The girls are just not worth it, get a ST, and get out it just use GC. Crazy lady drink prices and high bar fines don’t make Pattaya attractive anymore.
Those girls really know how to rinse the male ego. I like to relax while on holiday and counting the cash all night while trying to avoid being rinsed is not my idea of fun. All sounds a bit like its become same same as the entertainment back here in the west...expensive, fake and unfulfilling.
Yep. I'm pretty generous normally but feeling I'm being rinsed from the get go totally kills it. Best value for me was a kosher massage on my neck, back and shoulders for a solid hour and it cost 200 baht.

Soi 6 last week was quoted 2000-2500 to go upstairs and 500 for room. One girl came down to 1500. Prices have over doubled. Also beers are now over 100b in most places on soi 6.

The industry's biggest customers are Indians and Chinese. Prices have risen significantly since the visa waiver system was implemented. Koreans spend money carelessly without knowing the market price. Koreans also played a part in it. However, there are plenty of women for customers to choose from. We can obtain information and make reasonable consumption.

Great ideas about bottles. I don't like drinking beers all night, and the alternative of a bottle of vodka or rum with mixers sounds like a good idea. If I share it with a girl, it ensures she isn't drinking water and I don't have to pound beers and buy individual lady drinks.

I mean, not many will pay 200€ (8k) for ST with a Thai model, even if it is a model, when you can have nice East European models in FKK clubs in Europe for 100€. And we are near that price in Pattaya (XS/PinUp) already.
Remember, you are going to get charged a premium if she doesn't really want to go home with you. Just because you have the option to pay to get what you want does not mean you shouldn't be putting the time in at the gym.
Quite honestly I was shocked at the prices and how pushy the girls and bars were when I was there a couple of weeks back. Was due to return in Feb for three weeks but add all this to the price of the flight and even the food it really has become an expensive trip from the UK. Will I be back? Not sure to be honest as the vibe of when I was there 6 years ago has changed. Maybe farang men aren't we were back then with all of the big spending Koreans and Indians around the place these days.
In restaurant/bars Dance and sports bars, The price for boze is still quite good in Thailand. And as for the adult bars, The prices are WAY better in Thailand than here in Canada.

Not only lady drink prices have gone up, if you want to take a lady out of the bar, especially on WS, you have to buy the lady 5 drink even before they let her go with you. So you pay for 5 drinks, then you pay the bar fine, then you have to pay the lady for her entertainment time with you. You add all that up, you roughly going to dish out over 10,000 and that's for a ST with lady....but...you do have guys like you mention that will spend that amount or more. Plus these Live Streams that are still going on is so ridiculous....
I didn't even go to the street where people walk my first time in Pattaya. I went during my second trip earlier this year and I found it quite borrowing. I only went into a couple of the nightclubs and wasn't impressed. At least I can say I've been.
Those prices are absurd I've gone away from those places years ago as I had other things to do other interests. I will never go back again can get so much better value around each to their own. I think more and more people will wise up to complete rip off places. Thing is Thais won't wake up to why their business incurring losses they will just charge the people left more. The farang owners will end up going home with their tail between their legs only very few make it year on year.
Definitely not Turkey mate hahaha, I am from Turkey and have been in Antalya, Bodrum and other famous places for vacationing you know and its ridiculously expensive. Don’t get me wrong, service and hospitality, food and whatnot is really top notch but some all inclusive hotels go as high as $2k for a night. But if you can afford that definitely a recommended. It has become expensive in comparison to pre covid. Bukhao and surrounding areas is cheaper. I've just come back from 5 months in Pattaya, Koh Chang etc. It was nowhere as busy as pre covid. They have shot themselves in the foot. People are staying away.

I've been to pattaya twice and have not been to walking st. I honestly don't think I'd like it. I much prefer ordinary bars or GC. There are lots of attractive girls there. I've got no intention of going to walking St when I come back in November
Soi 6: 1500 - 2000 for ST. About 400 (+/- 200) for the room. So that is the way to save money. but finding young, model-type girls is much harder on the street than in go-go clubs.

Daz I think what has happened with the prices in the agogos and bars is in part to the popularity of these CZcams channels. You get a lot simps who watch these channels that go over there that have little to no experience with women that and could never have a beautiful woman in the west. They meet a girl who they never dreamed they could ever be with in their home country and put them on salary and do everything for them to keep them happy. That ends up with one less girl in the bar and the bar having to pay more to either keep these girls or attract more.

Vietnam is a conservative state so if you want fun and exciting nightlife without restrictions I'd stick with Thailand, like the other commenter stated the prices will be cheaper too than said destination.

From my understanding, the Lady Drink system works like this: -Agogo and lady bars forces the ladies to get at least 40-50 lady drinks each month, if a girl does not sell enough lady drinks a month, her pay gets deducted from her regular salary for not selling enough Lady Drinks or worse she looses her job at that bar for not selling enough each month. -The bar also takes about 70% of each lady drink a girl sells. The lady drink scam has gotten way out of hand in Thailand. it's not just the customers who are suffering under these crazy LD prices but also the girls who are forced to sell them.

I agree with you that the music in Insomnia is good, I have liked it every time I have been, but I haven't been to Republic. Wait are you sure Pattaya is still way cheaper then Australia and Pattaya is only one small city in the country, there are many nice and cheaper places to visit, and if you are just looking for that kind of fun you can find it cheaper just stay off the main areas and the price goes down, or better yet visit the provinces and the price drops drastically.

You are giving a scewed impression of Pattaya Das. Twelve years ago I sold Leo beer at 60 baht a bottle......I now sell at 70, which is fairly standard in Soi Pothole. Some bars in town sell at 60 baht all day. Average bar fine is 500 baht if you shop around. Agogo's are for Japanese, Koreans, wealthy tourists and mugs.

I walked soi LK Metro last week and only a handfull of girls were young(20's) and cute. Most were overweight and close to 40 with too many tatoos, but these older women still wanted 160b lady drinks and 2-2500 st. I just laughed. This is what's happening all over Pattaya unfortunately.

I like to think about the old prices. I've been to Pattaya three times in the last year and I cant help thinking about the late 90's when a bar fine was 150 baht and LT was 500 baht and at the time it was nearly 100 baht to the pound.

Personally I just get my Kicks below the waistline off the Thai dating apps. I pay around 1200 baht for a session that I negotiate to last at least 90 mins with 2 pops (usually I just manage 1 pop) and have a couple of sessions per day from different service providers...One in the afternoon and the other in the evening.. I also have regular service providers that service me for 2 hrs or more for 1K baht for 2 hrs or more.....I stay well away from that street where one walks on, no interest in blowing 1200 baht in 20 mins just on drinks

Gents clubs (MM, CF, etc.) are the best value for entertainment in my opinion. Last Friday was in MM (Soi Chaiyapoon) for almost 2 hours, had a lot of fun with the girl and the bill was 1,500 Baht. No curtained off play but was playful enough for the enjoyment. This trip I didn't go into any GoGo on LK Metro. Ridiculously overpriced. Yes, the standards of the girls in gents clubs are not very high but they certainly know how to entertain.

I've lived in PP. Barfines are still fair at $15-20. LDs are now not far off Pattaya at $5 USD each (180 THB). And workers will quote anything from a sensible $40 to hundreds.
The catch? Cambodia and PP especially is a dump compared to Pattaya.
It's bloody dangerous too.
I did a comparison with Phuket and Bangkok prices recently on vacation. Phuket and Bangkok prices are still double and sometimes triple of what the prices in Pattaya are. Which means it's probably inflation because it's happening everywhere.

Inflation is happening everywhere, the guys on vacation can choose to get fleeced in the usual spots. Those that live there mostly full time will just know where to go to get value for money- GC's, the Darkside, etc. Pattaya is changing, but there's still plenty of fun to be had there.
Couple of observations. In gc’s they really want the rooms upstairs to turn over quickly. They have far more ladies than rooms, so they want the rooms ready. In a different venue, one chain of massage doesn’t do much massage at all, at least if you want Thai or body (foot is still normal). If you try to be generous whether Tree Town, open bars, aircon bars, you’ll get recruited for sponsorship or hit up for a phone or medical emergency etc. So basically, just having a reasonable budget makes you a cheap Charlie. Don’t try to make hostesses happy.

I was in insomnia, myst, Raas and Republic 2 months ago. With the membership card, insomnia is cheapest. Myst and Raas were more expensive and republic was the most expensive. It's the one thing I dislike most about about Thailand, no shame in ridiculous overpricing of drinks in clubs and skybars.
I found the clubs to be great value. I just bought a bottle of SangSom and if you dont finish it you can keep the bottle for another night as well.

Daz, £6 for a last drink is a joke now, the last time I was there in 2022 I didn’t but one, you get some bad looks and called a cheap Charlie, however they can call me what they want they ain’t taking my money for basically nothing.
Flights cost double what they used to but you can still get good hotel deals, food and drink is also great in the right places.
The girls are just not worth it, get a ST, and get out it just use GC.

Soi 6 last week was quoted 2000-2500 to go upstairs and 500 for room. One girl came down to 1500. Prices have over doubled. Also beers are now over 100b in most places on soi 6.
Together with the tax changes, Pattaya will be a wealthy person's place to live soon.

Great ideas about bottles. I don't like drinking beers all night, and the alternative of a bottle of vodka or rum with mixers sounds like a good idea. If I share it with a girl, it ensures she isn't drinking water and I don't have to pound beers and buy individual lady drinks.

I mean, not many will pay 200€ (8k) for ST with a Thai model, even if it is a model, when you can have nice East European models in FKK clubs in Europe for 100€. And we are near that price in Pattaya (XS/PinUp) already.
Remember, you are going to get charged a premium if she doesn't really want to go home with you. Just because you have the option to pay to get what you want does not mean you shouldn't be putting the time in at the gym.

Quite honestly I was shocked at the prices and how pushy the girls and bars were when I was there a couple of weeks back. Was due to return in Feb for three weeks but add all this to the price of the flight and even the food it really has become an expensive trip from the UK. Will I be back? Not sure to be honest as the vibe of when I was there 6 years ago has changed. Maybe farang men aren't we were back then with all of the big spending Koreans and Indians around the place these days.

Not only lady drink prices have gone up, if you want to take a lady out of the bar, especially on WS, you have to buy the lady 5 drink even before they let her go with you. So you pay for 5 drinks, then you pay the bar fine, then you have to pay the lady for her entertainment time with you. You add all that up, you roughly going to dish out over 10,000 and that's for a ST with lady....but...you do have guys like you mention that will spend that amount or more. Plus these Live Streams that are still going on is so ridiculous....
The owners don't want the girls going with customers. They'd rather sell you 220 baht thimbles of water to you all night and call them lady drinks
I didn't even go to the street where people walk my first time in Pattaya. I went during my second trip earlier this year and I found it quite borrowing. I only went into a couple of the nightclubs and wasn't impressed. At least I can say I've been.
Those prices are absurd I've gone away from those places years ago as I had other things to do other interests. I will never go back again can get so much better value around each to their own. I think more and more people will wise up to complete rip off places. Thing is Thais won't wake up to why their business incurring losses they will just charge the people left more. The farang owners will end up going home with their tail between their legs only very few make it year on year.

Definitely not Turkey mate hahaha, I am from Turkey and have been in Antalya, Bodrum and other famous places for vacationing you know and its ridiculously expensive. Don’t get me wrong, service and hospitality, food and whatnot is really top notch but some all inclusive hotels go as high as $2k for a night. But if you can afford that definitely a recommended. It has become expensive in comparison to pre covid. Bukhao and surrounding areas is cheaper. I've just come back from 5 months in Pattaya, Koh Chang etc. It was nowhere as busy as pre covid. They have shot themselves in the foot. People are staying away.
I was in Phuket in February. It was incredibly busy. More than before COVID.
Bangkok was packed too.

Soi 6: 1500 - 2000 for ST. About 400 (+/- 200) for the room. So that is the way to save money. but finding young, model-type girls is much harder on the street than in go-go clubs.

Daz I think what has happened with the prices in the agogos and bars is in part to the popularity of these CZcams channels. You get a lot simps who watch these channels that go over there that have little to no experience with women that and could never have a beautiful woman in the west. They meet a girl who they never dreamed they could ever be with in their home country and put them on salary and do everything for them to keep them happy. That ends up with one less girl in the bar and the bar having to pay more to either keep these girls or attract more.
Something else that is screwing the prices is the online drinks bullshit that girls and bars are doing , have many ladys that I met before messaging me asking can I buy them online drinks which I absolutely never do but the few I have on instagram is doing this all the time and of course the ladys love showing of that someone has bought them 3 racks etc , it makes sense now to as why when you go into some bars that girls have absolutely no interest in dealing with customers which is a shame really

Vietnam is a conservative state so if you want fun and exciting nightlife without restrictions I'd stick with Thailand, like the other commenter stated the prices will be cheaper too than said destination.

From my understanding, the Lady Drink system works like this:
-Agogo and lady bars forces the ladies to get at least 40-50 lady drinks each month, if a girl does not sell enough lady drinks a month, her pay gets deducted from her regular salary for not selling enough Lady Drinks or worse she looses her job at that bar for not selling enough each month.
-The bar also takes about 70% of each lady drink a girl sells.
The lady drink scam has gotten way out of hand in Thailand.
it's not just the customers who are suffering under these crazy LD prices but also the girls who are forced to sell them.

A couple of questions - was the bar you went to in soi Diamond a dancing bar or a normal bar? I agree with you that the music in Insomnia is good, I have liked it every time I have been, but I haven't been to Republic. Is there any club in Pattaya that plays predominantly Western 70s and 80s music? I haven't found one and I guess there might not be a market for one, unless it was one of the clubs having a theme night.
