As a caps fan. I love to see him do so well and he is so good there.
when you look at his stats over his entire nhl career and in what tier of goalies most people see him in, he is so underrated. i mean he had 2 seasons behind holtby with 30+ games where he absolutely outperformed him in every stat. in his first year he was close aswell and above a .920 safe%. His career average is around .920s% aswell over multiple seasons. That`s elite. There are maybe 3-4 goalies better only looking at pure stats over that time
The avalanche commentators are like fans who are getting paid to watch and react to games.

I wholeheartedly believe the Bolts would have faced the Avs had Grubs, and a majority of that team, stayed healthy thru the playoffs.
Yeah they would have. Injuries decimated that team
Without a doubt. That was my prediction with the Bolts taking it home (even though I'm an Avs fan). Thats alright though, this team will be good for a long time.

@Custom NHL Horns he's going to be a lot better if he can work on his rebound control and gets a new damn glove. It always looks so stiff and pucks just jump out of it all the time.
I thought so too, but based off his performance last year and the wild inconsistency ill say he is a decent #2. Got a ways to go before he is at the helm of any team though.
@@xyrolinx3533 Sakic and Bednar eluded that his play was linked to an injury he was attempting to play through. Eventually the injury took him out of play leading to Hutchinson in net.

So, that #2 highlight... WHAT WERE HIS DEFENDERS DOING!? Seriously. Shorthanded, all four guys are on one side of the net. The one guy even leaves his man to casually skate behind the net and join the other three, and then his man gets the puck. THAT is bad defense.

No, not by a long shot. Not saying the kid isn't an NHL'r. He is, he earned it, but last years performance (not just the playoffs) put that argument to bed. Frankie is a solid #2, still has a ways to go before he gets #1.
@@Mk7Poorsche last year's performance? Umm he was way better than Grubi in the regular season, so I'm not sure where you are getting the not just the playoffs part of your comment. It was only the playoffs where he struggled
@@Mk7Poorsche I think if Seattle will search solid goalie, they will look after him, Chudobin was good, but he is expensive, but Frankie was still good, he was good in Extraliga, he was good in KHL, he was good in Czech national team and i think he will be good in NHL
@@RIPJimmyA7X he was pretty inconsistent in the regular season. When he was on, he was a wall, but when he wasn't he became a sieve. There isn't much grey area and based on the sample size we got I stick to my statement. If you want someone to be excited for keep an eye on Justus Annunen. He is in Liiga right now and has shown some serious promise (though he had a bit rougher year this year).
