WHAT DOES IT MATTER. THIS HEEL/ BABYFACE LABELING DOES NOT MATTER AND I AM A HUGE AEW FAN. THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN WRESTLING WHERE PEOPLE CHEER HEELS BECAUSE OF HOW WELL THEY PERFORM THERE CHARACTER AND WHAT THEY DO IN THE RING. THE CROWD DETERMINES WHO SHOULD BE WHAT AND THEN THE PERFORMER CAN LEAN INTO IT
It's not hard. How do you not know who to root for? Root for who you like. Boo who you dont. Who's the heel when two boxers fight? When two NFL teams play which one is the heel? The one you don't like. You need to be TOLD who to cheer, Dave? Come on! Do you have no free will or ability to decide for yourself?
NO Less Eddie PLEASE lol ,ENOUGH NOT EVERYONE loves the Acclaimed Sissoring & the C(rap) must STOP NOT the overrated Bucks NOBODY cares EVERYONE changes the channel when they come on
Heels and faces are a outdated concept
Stealing a main event spot at WM makes a great heel.
Everybody in aew has no real direction that’s why casual fans don’t buy aew
Swerve is a tweener
It's 2024. We cheer for anyone who can talk and wrestle well. The bad guy is cool. The good guy is cool. We just want a great showing. I'm gonna cheer when MJF insults the audience. I'm gonna cheer when Swerve leaves Hangman lifeless. I will also cheer when Adam Copeland takes a selfie with a young fan in the front row. And I'm gonna cheer when a young upstart talent stands up to Samoa Joe. It doesn't matter anymore. We just like who performs well.
That's aews problem
I think with social media knowing these wrestlers more it's a hard to hate anyone
Specifically in Swerve & Joe's cases I believe the talent and popularity they've built for themselves surpasses any heel tactics they can possibly commit. It does ultimately blur the lines as to how they're supposed to get genuine long lasting heat, but I see it as a sign of major respect for their craft overall
A lot of us cheer heels because they are fun and in the words of the joker “Some of us want to watch the world burn” … there have been heels I cheered for that turned face and lost what was so great and lovable about them.
I popped so hard when Orton kicked Cena's dad in the head. Legend Killer Orton was my favorite at the time. Next up was Edge's entire Rated R run.
Big boss man is a great example of a good heel.
Swerve can punt a dog and get a pop. Attitude era fans tend to like the heels more. Especially roman. We're just pricks. 😂
