    We just discovered your channel and look forward to traveling vicariously through your videos. My husband’s family is from Orizaba. The last time we visited in 2019 we had an amazing breakfast at Hotel Posada Lomas in Fortín de las Flores. We highly recommend the traditional Mexican breakfast, natural juices, coffee and restaurant made fruit jelly. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows with lots of green vegetation.

    sounds like their local coffee being under-the-radar is best for people there.
    you mentioned Mexican street corn; i recall hearing that Mexico corn prices had skyrocketed due to US' crazy policy of using it for ethanol fuel - sugar is MUCH more economical but, Iowa caucuses have a stranglehold on the US presidential election process so, USA uses their corn! [cellulosic ethanol would be best but, it's still more expensive & G.W. Bush advocated it which made it toxic for many - i wonder if they're now past that?]

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  Před 2 lety +1

      Keeping the coffee under the radar has been the best because it's affordable and consumed nation wide. We notice the difference in Colombia and Mexico with their coffee in which Colombia sells most of their coffee to export and then locals can't consume it.
      The mexican government has made so many mistakes outsourcing their resources to USA that some of them are mind boggling!

    • @EatBailaTravel
      @EatBailaTravel  Před 2 lety

      we have noticed the difference in the use of sweetners here in Mexico it's most often natural cane sugar or a derivative. We hardly see high fructose corn syrup in anything in Mexico, unlike the USA!
