    Nice to see how it functions, maybe I will find one some day.

    I think the single most important thing for this group of files is something supported by the Turbo File Twin on the Super Famicom - This is the two RPG maker titles. (yes, ports of the RPG game creation tools from the PC that you can still buy versions of such as the current RPG Maker VX Ace).
    As you can imagine, a tool designed to make your own RPG's with is going to chew up a lot of storage space, and it would also be very frustrating if you have to delete your old creation to make a new one.
    The internal SRAM in the cartridge is only 32 kilobytes;
    Even if you use entirely stock assets (which would be in cartridge ROM, and thus don't need to be in the save file), unless it has some impressive compression you couldn't get much more than 16 full screens into such a custom-made game.
    Which is... Almost nothing, especially for an RPG...
    But it suddenly makes quite a bit more sense if it supports an external storage device with 128 kilobytes of storage space.
    Still not ideal (how expensive were these devices back in the day? And you still can't copy the file in a way that can archive it more reliably.), but it's much better than only supporting internal memory.
    It also means if you can mimic the data transfer format the Turbo File Twin uses to communicate with the SFC, you can create an SD card adapter or something. Not that useful in general, but it'd be a big help for the two RPG maker releases.
    (though for the second one it'd be more useful perhaps to mimic the Sattelaview storage cart...)

    That AN-505RD is so sexy! It doesn't know what color it wants to be! You would think it would be red like like AN-500RD, but nope!! Regardless, I love mine too :)

    "the turbo file uses 2 batteries to save the data" - Does it mean that instead of using CR2032 batteries , it uses two AA batteries? Or are these batteries just to power the device?

      The AA batteries hold the savedata.
