This week I took my first trip to Mondello and was brought on track by the legendary Pat McBennett Sport.
We took out their track prepped Lotus Elise S1 with a Civic Type R engine and gearbox fitted. It was truly fast

I was at a track day years ago with backroads and Pat was the most memorable part of it. The whole back of his car was engulfed in flames and he still flat out down the straight! Thankfully everyone was quick acting and I believe the car was saved. I'll never forget it that's for sure!

That is probably one of the best cars to enjoy on track, and you get the performance and
more importantly peace of mind when using the Honda engine and transmission.
They were built to take abuse 😉
Brilliant looking car there Pat.
It would have been good to hear a little bit from the owner, talking about what he
has done to it, though appreciate they might not want to have appeared on camera.

I own one their amazing things even I standard form rover k serise engine hard to get into but very comfortable once belted in you feel like your apart of the car only real thi g I can compare it to is my 125 rotax go kart handling wise they just stick were you point them until its wet 😂😂😂 great car

He wasn't hanging around was he? I might add that getting in and out of a Lotus Elise isn't the easiest either... I test drove one many years ago and decided my back wasn't up for the challenge!
