- Let's give CP Rail the spotlight for a bit. This vid's quite longer than most of the train flicks I've posted, but then again, there were a lot of RS-18s around in the mid-nineties. I didn't think you'd mind.
As usual, I don't lay music over the trains, no talking heads and no spoken commentary. Some do that well, but I figure if I get started I won't know when to stop. Besides, the rhythm of those prime movers is musical enough.
All of these clips were shot in Smiths Falls, Ontario, sometime between 1995 and 1996. - Zábava
Nothing beats the burbling and chugging of an MLW. Sounds almost as if they're breathing
Hello Rik, thank you for these ALCO RS-18 that are still in service. The 1849 is in Gaspesie (SFG-1849) and it is still working on the SUB-Cascapedia with other RS-18s that I recognize. jaberthelot
modelers dream , perfect video of units showing details . thanks for sharing
Spent many Saturdays in my teens watching these work in Smiths Falls and Wakley (pre-OCR). I love the distinctive idle chant of the 12-251B. Thanks for sharing!
Yes very good video brings back memories 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thxs . Robin out Alcos number 1 .
Loved this video... Saw my first RS-18 in Newcastle NB in 96. Thanks for uploading, I think I'm going to watch this one again and again
I Love Partys!!
Can't go wrong with a dance floor of ALCOs!
Here is an interesting fact, Only the first 12 rebuilt RS-18u's received the Multimark logo. thats why you don't see it on most of the ones shown in this video
I liked when the rolling stock said "CP Rail". Canadian Pacific is too ordinary.
nice to see 1803 when it was in service in Canada
