Spectacular Navajo Bridge spanning the Colorado River

On our way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon we crossed the modern Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River, which replaced the original Navajo Bridge, dedicated on June 14-15, 1929. The old bridge replaced Lees Ferry as a means to cross the river. The original bridge was deemed obsolete for modern traffic and was dedicated on September 14, 1995.
