To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
But, when your therapist said “you sounded really good”, was he referring to the call quality or your general state of well being 😊

idk but the airpods gen 2 mic sounds better atleast on my loudspeaker on ip12, will definitely try listening with some earphones. Planning on getting one for the holidays!

I’m just using traditional EarPods with lightning connector which comes along with my 11 pro for a while, now I’m looking for an upgrade to this new AirPods. So for beginners like me , AirPods 3 will be a better buy rather than picking AirPods Pro ?
all depends if you want noise cancellation or not. Also some people don't like the ear tips that comes with the Pros.
Thank you for this great review. I am now going to treat myself to these 3rd generation airpod. I usually find these devices to be very uncomfortable in my ears. Usually it’s because I have to push them deep inside my ears in order to hear sound but a coworker told me the sound on these are excellent. So I am trusting you and that coworker’s judgment. :)

I’m not sure if going from the Pro to the Gen 3 is considered as an upgrade. It’s new, yes, but you’ll lose the Noise Cancellation.

Thank you bro, hopefully these work with my nine year old MacBook Air. Only getting these cause I have a Zoom presentation to do in a few weeks. I purchased a stupid pair of JBL Tune 225TWS earbuds thinking they would pair with my MacBook yet it didn't. I think I'm gonna go with the Airpods Gen 3, a bit pricey for my taste but it's also important to keep in mind you get what you pay for!

I got the Elago Liquid Hybrid case in the Stone colour way (non-hang variation because I don't like hanging stuff on my charging case) for my third gen AirPods and those are great too! Love the look and feel of it as well :)

Airpods 2nd generation sound better. Wired sound even better.
The sound of the other, the AirPods two generation is much better when you recording through your iMac. The best AirPods is generation to the others doesn’t sound as good as generation two.
