Actually, I think shopping in IKEA is kinda fun.
But when it comes to clothes it comes to something I would vaguely describe as pure pain.

In all seriousness. IKEA's level design is amazing and a worthwhile analysis for every developer.
I'm not sure they need to study any more in getting people to spend more than they intend....

@@sepg5084 That's not entirely true, all stores are designed to get people to spend. They generally have huge baskets/carts since people subconsciously will try to fill it, and they put the most commonly bought items deeper in so you have to pass by other tempting products. For giant stores like Walmart, product placement and the layout is a huge deal for maximizing sales
I actually worked for Ikea for 3 years, the store is intentionally designed for people to spend more, as well as the giant plastic shopping bags scattered throughout the store, they are strategically placed in certain areas and IKEA has their own data to prove it! And it works.
Matt's sudden and completely random mistreatment of the stuffed panda had me laughing long after the video ended.
I respect anyone who can enter IKEA and ACTUALLY stick to the list and don't wonder all over the place.
This place is literally design like a nighmare hellscape. They do everything they can and use every trick in the book to make you buy all the stuff you never know you needed, wanted or even knew existed. They're even ordered to let you sleep on any bed you might fall asleep in to prove to other customers "look how comfy our beds are". They even use YOU as advertisment.
Oh I wonder wonder what's in Ikea meatballs...

As a Swedish male, I can easily say that IKEA is a nightmare I am forced to visit far too often. Don't get me wrong, they have great stuff. The problem is that me and my fiancee and kids shop differently... I lookup the stuff I need in advance and just go the correct section and then I am out. My fiancee is wandering around like a two year old. Thanks for the great content 👍!

My inner monologue becomes an outer monologue if I'm alone and it helps so much with keeping my thoughts orderly that I legit can work way more efficiently and productively if I do it out loud

Yeah it's gotten to the point where I'll watch anything GFR puts out. They're just naturally enjoyable and entertaining. It's a rare combination but they have it. Shelby is hilarious; Matt is hilarious, and Matt's editing just elevates their dynamic. The Barbara Streisand bit, Djungelskog, Car Pranks, "Not Helping", etc. I was smiling and laughing the whole time. In my unprofessional and illegitimate opinion, this is the best channel on CZcams.

@@Matej_Sojka I just thought it'd make that bit more easily identifiable if I titled it. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to put quotes around shorter/subheading titles, e.g. "Should you take your boyfriend to Ikea" from the channel _Girlfriend Reviews_ . I could be wrong, though.
It really is, their relationship reminds me of my wife and I, and it's just so heartwarming and wholesome, while at the same time hilarious and stupid.
The lemon party joke probs went over so many peoples heads. That is a throwback and had my cracking up.

1: Shelby's octagonal glasses look so cool. I'm not one to fan over things like this but I really like it.
2: When she said "and so does my favourite guy" it felt so wholesome.
3: The "you're used to handling 91 inches" line was delivered with perfection. I'd have given Matt a high five right then and there.
Jin's eyewear used to carry these.. they stopped selling them so I had to hunt down the last pairs being sold. Which, despite being a Japanese company, was oddly in China so I bought all the remaining pairs. Petition them to bring them back they're the best!! It's incredibly rare to see octagon glasses where all the sides are equal length and the lenses are big

Also, I live in Malaysia, and the IKEAs here are EXACTLY like in America it's... I kinda wish I could step into one and be teleported halfway across the world through the maze of IKEA.
Just be careful you dont step into SCP 3008- The Infinite Ikea. Its an endless Ikea you cant escape, and the workers are faceless things that kill you at night.
We wish the displays would radically change like they did before, not just be shuffled around or only be slightly "different".

I live a short 5-7 minute drive from an IKEA and I go "visit" at least 2-3 times a month because they give you an extra 10% off clearance/"As-Is" items on Wednesdays, which is absolutely absurd because "As-Is" can mean anything from a pillow someone returned to a fully-assembled bed or desk that's already marked down from hundreds. The fact that they have a one YEAR return policy (with a receipt) is freaking amazing too. The showroom is a total theme park, but you can save some serious money there!

I've only just discovered this channel and I love it thank you! Finding people with a similar sense of humour, and consistently laughing out loud - literally - is a wonderful thing. Just what the doctor ordered. I found the channel because I was wondering if I should try playing Horizon Zero Dawn again - everyone raves about it, but I kind of got bored last time - so I was watching reviews, and this channel doesn't actually seem to help with whether or not I should play a particular game, but that actually just adds even more to the charm of the whole thing!
You're a couple of very clever, very talented, very funny people and I wish I had discovered your channel sooner, though ... having said that ... it's great to be able to binge watch your videos like a new season of The Mandalorian has dropped, so there _is_ that...
