Far Cry traditionally has the most hilariously disparate tones between story and gameplay and I can't help but love it.
One moment you're like damn this is kinda deep. Then BOOM explosions are much more fun and I have magic cat mauling people. Plus an EMP on my back that's clearly a lawnmower. If we had a grappling hook it's Just Cause 4 or 5 I forgot how many there was.

The production quality is literally insane. The constant zingers and inside jokes paired with great clips, skits, and full on musical numbers. The effort to make these is just crazy.

I never really played assassins creed so when I played Odyssey I was like “this is my favorite game of all time”. Turns out even though I really liked that game, I am wrong and stupid.

my boyfriend got me this game, its my first ever far cry experience and I am loving the co-op so much.
he drives us to our next objective, with our adorable battle pets, his chrome doggo (some pre-order DLC?) and my black panther pet for stealth that magically cremates enemies with a swipe of their paw so no bodies left around to alert another enemies, its grand.
The NPC song inspired by Tenacious D’s Wonderboy was funny as hell.
Having played 9 hours of this game with my father in coop, I surprisingly haven't encountered any of these bugs. Then again, we were both just messing around with tanks and spending 20 minutes shooting people and coming up with puns.

Same here, maybe it's because I'm on PC but the opposite it usually true. My biggest bug if if I shoot down helicopters too soon the enemies never enter the combat zone and I can get stuck.
I actually really liked the game. One of the few games I have finished this year, along side deathloop and RE8

I love that this series is slowly becoming a musical.
This is precisely why Yoko Taro receives praise despite his flagship games not having stellar gameplay. He provided the materials and the playerbase went absolutely wild with what they were given. All served with a huge helping of depresso.
It was always a musical, sorry. This channel is a big trojan horse for Chels' musical ambitions and matt's comedic potential.

I think the 100th video should be a rapid-fire review collage of some of the games you've played but didn't do a video on. There were some bangers in that list.
Ooh this this. I know Matt does a lot of things Shelby isn't as involved in, so he can mostly steer that segment if he wants. But like 15 seconds or something about each game, whether it's dope or not, and maybe a mild joke if it was memorable enough for him. This plus a Q&A and maybe a review all in one video kinda like how you could get a special 45-60 minute version of a TV episode. Obviously shouldn't be that long but imagine a solid 20 minute video.

It feels like just yesterday I saw your fallout 76 video when it came out. Laughed my butt off and I've been happy to see how far you've gone since then when I saw your channel. It's been great watching girlfriend reviews evolve and see your talents alongside it. I had my significant other watch a few of your videos and is starting to get into gaming with me as well. We're going through unravel 2 right now, but after we watched your it takes two video that's going to be next :) it's been a bit hard to play a games due to a lot of work recently, But you guys helped give me another thing to look forward to after a long day of work, playing videogames my significant other, thank you! I have been saying fir a little while now, movie sequels are trash, but with games they're usually better, & since fc2 was Ubisoft first game, fc3 was their sequal, so this we're the best, then like with ac & watch dogs, they get monotonous, so those were the best in the series
On a completely unrelated note. Every time I listen to the musical bits of your reviews, there is a flash, it always reminds me of something but I never knew what. Then , the other day, I had my music on shuffle and it hit me! Your singing reminds me of Nellie McKay (especially the song Sari ). Anyway, love your reviews and if you have time, I recommend anyone to listen to the song, it's a real treat.

I did pay attention to the story and it was...fine I guess. There's nothing hilariously wrong with it, but it's really just there as vague motivation for killing things and blowing things up. I do like how there are clearly portions where the good guys aren't really that great to be running things either, which is super by the book for far cry, but I still like it.
My biggest complaint is that it wasn't really a far cry for our characters. They were slicing necks and blowing shit up day 1 in the place they normally live where far cry is generally about taking someone from normal western society and putting them somewhere completely out of their depth with violence and weird arcane mystery. Ya know, putting them in a place a far cry from their normal life.
