Japan has a strong Host/Hostess Culture. It mean you go into a bar and you will be served by your own personal Host/Hostess that will serve you alcohol and drink and chat with you.
You pay indirectly for them through the booze that is quite expensive. So basicly Akaris Aunt is using her as eyecandy to sell expensive booze to (young) men with too much money.
