One of the 2024 Detroit Autorama Great 8 is Steve Sheats’ 1959 Chevrolet Corvette built by True Colors Customs in a fabulous Blood Orange.
A 700-horsepower 427 LS7 with a Lingenfelter GT19 camshaft is mated to a T56 Magnum six-speed transmission.
Front fender coves were modified to function as heat extractors.
The custom interior is upholstered in grey leather and orange suede.
The doors are flared, quarter panels are widened, and bumpers are tucked.
The hood was punched out to create room for the high-rising Performance Design carbon fiber cross-ram intake manifold.
The Vette is on a boxed Art Morrison chassis and sports custom 10-spoke Schott wheels.
