baxter’s and especially american crew do not belong on this list. i can name a few dozen clays that are far superior to both. the rest are really good tho.
@@Jblaugrana88 I have very thick wavy unruly hair and I would highly recommend Flagship heavy clay. It has the same scent and general appearance as Claymation but scoops easier and performs better for thicker hair. Once you apply your hair is instantly responsive and a lot easier to control. I use like 3 scoops of if for a neat look for my office job because it’s really one of the only products I’ve found that gives me that option, but for this use it does definitely feel like you have product in your hair, but not in a bad way. It’s also cheaper and 50% more product than Claymation. TDM Style has a good video on it.
@@MyKillyy I’ve tried well over 50 products at this point and some of my favorites are Shear Revival northern lights, Grim Grease heavy clay, O’douds dry wax, Nostalgic Grooming super waterbased pomade, Firsthand supply clay pomade, and Salon Guy crafted extreme hold matte paste. These are all products that work well in my thick coarse wavy hair so keep that in mind.
Lockhart is one i recommend
Thanks Andrew
Moroccan oil goated. anything called clay pomade should be no where near this list lmao. like wtf even is that

Been using Claymation forever, tried Kevin Murphy but did not like it. Which other clays would you recommend for thick hair?

Hmm I really like the Baxter's. Granted I've only tried a handful
