HANDICAPABLE ADVENTURES - Exploring California's Lower Fall River and Fall River Lake

Just a quick video with one of my sons from a recent day fishing the Fall River in the beautiful mountain town of Fall River Mills followed by an evening of paddling around Fall River Lake.
Situated in the Intermountain area of Shasta County and known for its agriculture, cattle ranchers, Fall River wild rice, garlic, mint, hay, lavender, and alfalfa, Fall River Mills, (pop. 615), is located about an hour and a half east of Redding.
Several lakes, including Fall River Lake, Eastman Lake, Horr Pond, and Big Lake are fed by numerous tributaries that flow throughout the Fall River Valley such as the Fall River, Tule River, Ja-She Creek, Lava Creek, Bear Creek, Shelly Creek, and Pit River; and the area is home to some of the best fly fishing throughout the Pacific Northwest region.
Together these waterways span much of the Valley forming one of the largest systems of freshwater springs in the country. After leaving Fall River Lake, these waterways culminate in a beautiful waterfall that flows into the Pit River south of town.
The Fall River Valley is also home to the Ahjumawi Lava Springs State Park, the State's sole boat-in-only park, well-known for being accessible only by small boat, canoe, or kayak.
