During a monthlong residency at the USC Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research this past summer, USC student Sydney Crowley explored Sinti and Romani testimonies in the USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archive. In this lecture, she will discuss what the testimonies reveal about transformations in faith, religious affiliation, and attitudes towards spirituality among Sinti and Romani Holocaust survivors. She will reflect on the central themes, case studies, and powerful messages she discovered during her research.
