The light setup looks like Johnny 5’s face
Just realised that, yes not far off from him
Picking up my new LXR125 in black and gold tomorrow! Excited to start my bike life!
Enjoy and ride safe
How did you get on?
Great video pal! Nifty wee 125s they are!
Thanks buddy
I so want one of these.. they have come a long way in the past 4 years. I said I'd never have another lexmoto but this bike has changed my mind completely. I have sent you guys and email.
Matt
Glad you like the new one will look out for your mail
I would also consider it to buy if it was avaliable in other countries. Even witht the still a bit weak engine.
Brilliant video bud
Thanks Buddy
The black and gold one is beautiful!!! Seen the other version with the tft screen that's a nice addition. Shame I'm flat broke I'd definitely have one.
TFT Colour is on the Se Version, Black is the better colour
@@RevBombUK I agree the black one looks very slick.
She's a beauty.
Thanks for sharing.
👍👍
I do really like the look of the new lxr
So much more of a better ride
omg wow stunning looking machine
It really is!
My favourite colour - beautiful bike
Thanks shelly
Stunning bike, much prefer this colour. Doing cbt soon and getting a bike but really torn between sports and cruiser
Get a cruiser as your first and once you get your A2 go for a an actual sport bike
Try both out see which one is more comfortable for you
Love this bike! Will be interesting to see how the other colours look on this, my favourite colour from the old model was the grey & blue!
Couldn't agree more!
Well done avoiding all those potholes!
Cheers mate
I like bikes & scooters that are black or black with flecks of midnight blue .The disadvantages are of course they show up every spec of dust & marks ,& not as visible to other road users .The fashion for modern bikes tends to be for over the top jacked up rear ends especially on the sport bikes ,it’s getting harder to distinguish one model from another..Also I would like to see a single genuine floating disc set up on the front end,as twin discs front on even 250 cc is over the top .Apart from that I can see why this bike sells to young learners & even those who just enjoy a 125 cc bike for whatever reasons or uses they have as it has very few reported issues & has been reliable .If I was young I would think like a youngster & want this sport styled bike too & think it’s cool .I also would also see the premium priced big name 125 sport bike offerings as having a bit more performance & a few higher spec parts ,but not worth the £2,000 or more price tag more in difference .Maybe a few years back would give the Chinese bikes a swerve but now they have come on a lot in build quality & finish .Maybe it’s because they now build more & more for the bigger well known brands & have had to raise their game .Thats all the better for us consumers providing the price point remains reasonable as the quality. increases . I can see you test running a lot of those new Lex sport bikes Mr Rev Bomb as I reckon they are going to shift out to the punters in significant numbers .👍
They reckon this one is going to be a big seller
Love the new lxr 2021 still like my blue and grey lxr
Enjoy !!
Yes you sold me my lxr last year
Recognise Bletchley. Live in Newport Pagnell. I was at Stevelin in Ramsey today and saw one of these. I could barely believe it was a 125. Looks so much bigger. Stunning looking bike.
Thanks for your comments and yes its an amazing bike
Maybe it was this one you saw
Thanks for posting this. A few questions:
How does the engine compare to the old, any noticeable difference with the increased BHP and torque.
Is the suspension any more comfortable, assume increase seat height is through suspension being relaxed?
Is the weight the same?
Any changes to build quality?
Thanks
Seat is 20mm higher compared to the old model
Also engine is a lot lower revving going through the gears
Its a totally different engine with a 6 speed
rides so much different
Only a long ride test will show the difference
But i will be doing a comparison with a Modded LXr 125 2019 model
The owner @Dizzlox who is a vlogger is going to do a speed run with me
Specs Below
Old Version
Max Power (12.1 hp) 9kW @ 9500
Seat Height 800 mm
New Version
Max Power (12.5 hp) 9.3kW @9000
Seat Height 820 mm
Was tempted but opted for the RC 125 which was amazing but after having it for less than 7 months and it's been stolen twice and now written off, I'm now back in the market.
👍
Hmmmmm im still unsure if i should get one of these, or the sypher.... Hurry up with that updated video bro!!! hahaha
Shooting cypher unrestricted video next week, watch out for it
Been waiting for this video since it was released great video mate
Since the bike was released
Hope you enjoyed it!
Nice looking bike :)
👍
Cracking bike
Thanks it's a nice ride too !
Great review. Wondered if you can help lexmoto lxr euro 5 to get to spark plug is it in middle of bike under tank and easy to get to ?
Normally requires panel temoval and a short tool
My boyfriend bought me my first motorcycle (the lexmoto lxr 125cc) in blue and silver, I can't wait to ride it
Enjoy and ride safe
Definitely prefer the red, black and white colour way or the white blue and black colourway
thanks for your opinion good to see everyone has different choices.
Ride safe
Just out a deposit down on mine today! Lovely bike all around. Thanks Dave
Very welcome you'll get to see another test ride soon
people like throwing money down the drain lol.
@@doomyzf4168 For the money there a good bike especially the new euro 5 editions
wow i wish they were still 2499.99 instead of 3095.00. Still gotta come back and watch this video, its tradition. Great vid rev
Thanks buddy
Good idea test riding a bike before it gets handed over to the customer, some buyers will not have the 1st idea about bike mechanicals and electricals and when something goes wrong it then has to go back to the dealer which is disappointing for the owner.
It’s a nice bike, would be good to know what it’s top speed is.
Really enjoying the vids, passed my test in 1998 but I have a soft spot for 125’s, so much fun.
Thanks William, Top speed Around 65-70 but not got to run one to full speed yet
@@RevBombUK That sounds very good , it should be able to do 60mph no probs.
If it can hit 70 that’s impressive.
Was never a fan of lexmoto. But to be fair . Their getting better. My mate has a lxr did have problems but the engine is not bad at all . Needs a better chair sprockets and lights . Also have problems with side stand and gear leaver. But for now I stick to my Honda
Like any new brand they are getting better
Hey mate, great video. Are you able to explain the running-in period (the 40mph for 500km bit) in more detail? Thanks!
First 500km or 311 miles maximum 40mph bursts of 45mph, service.
After service 50mph bursts of 55mph this takes you to 1500km or 932 miles, second service
After that good to go and enjoy
Relatively simple. 40mph. Not over 5k revs until first service avoid full throttle. Then 50mph until 2nd service. Then you can use full throttle.
@@JDMz spot on
@Life of Freedom a service is a full bolt check oil and filter change, check or replace sparkplug
Nothing like an mot that is for checking roadworthy condition of a bike
You need a bike garage for bike servicing
@Life of Freedom same for all bikes
Haha! I had to rewind at the start, I thought I heard 12.5 hp lol and it’s actually 12.5 hp lol, less than my snow blower 😂. Sure is a sharp looking bike!
Thanks for the review 🥓✌🏼
Thanks Buddy, UK law limits riders on their horsepower to 14.6 hp at 17 years old
Dumb law but we have to save them from killing themselves early.
And most of them still say i can only get 75 out of my bike
Can you do a full bike ride and walk around of the Lexmoto LXS 125?
He mentioned it in his previous lxr euro 5 video that he will. After he's come back from his holiday. Might be a bit longer due to someone hitting him in the back with a car
Coming this week
Damn, i love this bike. Are they being sold in Europe?
In uk at the moment dont know about Europe yet
A fine review, squire!
Thanks pete
Hey rev once I've done CBT is it easy to get things for a bike like insurance, tax MOT and license plate? I'm new to all this but just need a little help understanding this, the bike riding and highway code I've got no problem with since I'll remember.
New bike needs no mot for 3 years tax and reg is done by dealer on all new bikes
Insurance go online and shop around
@@RevBombUK okay thanks a lot bro
How genuinely reliable are they from factory? Looking at buying one soon and are concerned that I’ve heard very mixed opinions on reliability?
Keep it maintained and serviced regularly, run the bike in 40mph first 500 miles or 3 months, service then you can do 50mph for the next 3000 miles or 6 months after 1st service
Plenty of acf50 on it weekly to keep corrosion away
most bikes that break down have either been not run in or poorly maintained
2 year warranty should you get any issues and buy from a dealer that test rides at least 10 miles
Hiya, great advise on running a new bike in.
Can you please tell me what will happen to the bike engine if it is not run-in correctly please? for example if the bike was hammered from day one and red lined in every gear.
Would this effect the top speed ect?
Thanks in advance.
Bore wear barrel scoring and lower top speed always occurs on poorly run in bikes
You don't get a proper seal between cylinder and piston. Lack of power, poor fuel economy, excessive oil consumption, reduced engine life.
Can I ask what the difference is between the new LXR and the XLR SE thanks?
Inverted forks. Aluminium swing arm, TFT colour display and different graphics on SE
Yooo MK
Sure is
What are the service costs on bikes like that? Im looking at starting riding but weighing up the costs versus just upgrading my car
Service is 100 with most dealers so around 1 to 2 services a year depending on mileage
@@RevBombUK Thanks for the information
Just purchased one online thinking the wheels were gold too but they dont look gold, are they ?
Gold rothmans colours
Im 37, thinking of getting one of these as a toy lol
😁😁😁
i want one
Most dealers should have them in stock by now
Good looking bike, but damn the potholes in MK are getting silly
Tell me about it, Maybe they should use some of the tarmac they keep using to build speed bumps
Thought that was mk
@@colinmartin3468 sure is
I have decided to buy the black&gold lxr as it's just more simple but will be taking off the gold stickers and spray paint the wheels silver as gold or bronze is a very dirty colour and silver looks better on black plus im white so silver goes well with my skin complexion and I also wear all black with silver chain so yeah I get a lot of complements
Sounds good
@@RevBombUK are you going to do a 3 month review and give the pros and cons and what you love about it and what you hate about it
Thanks

@@RevBombUK brilliant
I have a question I was on this website called whatever wheels and I saw this exact bike but when you buy it can it deliver it to your house in England Kent
You can but there is a national delivery charge from us of £220 or find a local lexmoto dealer on www.lexmoto.co.uk
Ok thank you for replying and I also read somewhere on the website that it only delivers within 61 miles maximum and from where I live its 280 something miles from here to there
Would u say this bike is good for new riders with very little experience
Yes if you like sports bikes
Seat is 20mm higher compared to the old model

thank god i watch both channels
to be fair im thinking about getting one of these as in saving up for it and as a 16 year old (17 in may) i think it might be worth it,its just pricey for me XD
Have good look around plenty of good priced second hand ones
Don't bro please don't get the honda. These bikes only look nice you end up at the dealer more than you anticipated
@@icebless3136 I've been looking at a cbr I think it's one of those recently as I've asked my biking friends and lexemotos are rlly bad apparently so my comment has not aged well at all 🤣

Hiya I want to buy one but is it still possible to get the euro 4 version as on the website it doesn’t let me purchase
Euro 4 no longer available but plenty of 2nd hand ones about
i just purchased this bike for my first one as a learner, reckon the height would be ok as im 5'6?
Should be good for you but we always say try a bike for size first
@@RevBombUK thankyou for your quick reply, i know my misses said the same thing but i watched this video and loved it so just went out and purchased it.
Enjoy buddy, welcome to the biking world
Could I take the new bike on a long distance ride (100 miles) before first service
As long as you stick to 40 mph but break your journey into segments and have a few stops
Would you recommend this bike over the lxs ?
Much better riding position
Hi..I've brought a 6 month LXR and it has had its 1st service. But, the dealer and Lexmoto have said the next one isnt until 3000 miles now. I notice you memtioned a 900 plus service ?
Im confused now.
Thanks
New servicing regime is now 3000 miles or 6 months
@@RevBombUKthanks for confirming. Love the videos too!
Just a shame that still not ABS But £300 more, used to own the original LXR I loved it just the Breaking let down as I had to use twice hard breaking and both times had a lock on very bad other than that great bike for that reason change it to KTM hopefully near future they consider abs
Maybe a possibility for the future, enjoy the KTM there a superb bike
This bike takes on the cb125f. Is it liquid cooled? I did not catch that.
Liquid cooled 4 stroke
@@RevBombUK wow. Then Honda have to stand up and take notice! This is serious pricing competition. Looks, engine power is better than cb125f and upside down forks? Yeah I’d be surprised if more people don’t make the switch
I need to get a battery charger, can you recommend one for this bikes battery please?
Get any decent optimiser
One. On cmpo type optimiser or charger
Can you also do a video on the new Lexmoto LXS please? I dont know which to get.
Shooting LXS Video next week
It looks good, but its a very heavy bike 167kg for a 125cc... my GSXR 125 is only 134kg and has 3hp more... just for comparison my GSXR 1000 is around 202kg wet.... so this is in the middle of the weight between a normal 125cc and a 1000cc.
Thanks for sharing
GSXR is twice the bike this is. I’ve had the LXR’s predecessor and it was a nightmare. Local bike mechanics wouldn’t touch it. Hard to beat Japanese bikes. Easy for parts and servicing. Not being a snob , but both my last Chinese bikes were lemons
@@korbendallas71 depends how good the dealer preps them we have had only a few come back mostly ragging them
I worked in a dealership and i can say the lxr is a very unreliable bike. Its prob the best lexmoto there is. I wont deny you may get lucky with a good one but they are riddled with issues.
All depends how good the pdi and ride is by the dealership
We are very thorough
48 lxr's and so far no issues
@@RevBombUK so you've never seen the dash go black?
We sold predominantly used lxrs ranging from 3 to 15k. I've seen about 70 lxrs while I was there and the biggest issue I saw was electrics, ignition failure and dash blackout. It's good to hear they changed the gbox as the one they had was a problem too
@ryanstyles8540 gen 2 locks solved the problem on most lxr's
Only thing we see is lack of maintenance
@@RevBombUK fair play. To be fair mostly dealt with gen 1 so not clued in on the new bikes. It's such a beautiful bike to look at though. I think it might be the best looking 125 of them all!!
Can you elaborate more on what problems you had with the previous LXR 125 please ?
Previous euro 4 issues were problems with the ignition locks but it has now been sorted out
Is it okay to take this one a duel carriageway? Like when I go 50 it’s so loud and I feel like it’s gonna blow😂 (probably because I’m so use to cars and their revs) but like yeah is it okay going like 60+ on these?
Dual carriageway is fine but first 500 miles 40mph max have a service then you can do 50mph the first 1000 miles you must run engine in
If you go to fast to early you can damage engine
But these do 65 easily
@@RevBombUK okay perfect thank you I should stop going on 50mph roads then. I actually have a question about service, I got my bike last year, but because of things like took CBT on automatic, couldn’t ride manual, so took more lessons etc then lost my licence I’ve only just got on my bike, I’ve had it like 6 months but only got like 80 miles on it, should I get it serviced asap or get more miles on it first as it’s barely been ridden?
@@hoodedr6 first service is 3 months from owning or 500 miles
2nd service 3000 miles 6 months after 1st service then every year
Remember u get 2 years warranty so don’t worry about breaking the engine. Just enjoy the bike, they got you covered for parts and engine!
@@ruindaniel if they find servicing is not up to date or bike has been ragged then it can invalidate warranty
Bonjour, c'est possible aussi, commander en France ? Merci d'avance ✌️✌️✌️
It has a different name in France search taro
hello im looking to buy the LXR its mainly going to be used for my uni commute and i was thinking to do uber delieveries on the side for extra cash does anyone know if that is possible? can i do uber food delieveries on this?
Not a good bike for uber
Try a zsb or a titan
@@RevBombUK thank you for the recommendation means alot
It dosnt have a chinese batman beam switch to say you need help. your gonna need one.
If you maintain it and service it on time its a reliable bike, if your gonna rag it straight out of the box first day it wont last you 5 minutes its the same with any make of bike
do you recommend buy????
A lot better than the euro 4 lxr go look at one and see
500km at test speeds… I’m new to bikes, can someone explain why this is? 500km seems like an awfully long time to be riding a bike before taking it up to full speed
The engine needs to wear in 500 miles or 3 months
How hard is it to order to tx
Plenty of stock in the uk at the moment
Let’s be honest a 6th gear on a lexmoto 125 is pointless but i love my current LXR and do love the new LXR but i’m selling my 69 plate LXR as i’ve ordered a 2015 MT125 for abit more reliability
Enjoy the MT there a super bike !
What's the issue with the reliability?
@@kevindarkstar i’ve had nothing but issues lately on my LXR once I passed 10k miles that was it issues after issues
Cutting out when hot
Ignition barrel playing up
It randomly died on me as i was ready to go home from work and after
Managing to get it home i had to pay for bike to be recovered by garage to work on it
The original ECU failed on me meaning i was without my bike for about a week waking for garage to eventually replace it only for issues To start with that ECU and again losing bike for another week for them to order another ECU

@@RevBombUK thank you for your help good sir
I parked my cbr 250 alongside one of these and the lxr125 is physically bigger which makes it look quite impressive but obviously its gonna have a lousy performance. 125s should never weigh more than 120kg!
👍👍
Did you seriously ride that bike on a flashing fuel light though??
We always put 5 litres in for testing it didn't even register on the gauge its a big tank

What’s so special about Euro 5? I don’t know what that is
Tighter emissions

Lovely looking bike, but realistically not for me due to this rider having a body shaped like a badly packed kebab.
Its lovely but thats a sports bike for you hence why i like them but a pain if your a bigger rider
Lexmoto have to be the most unreliable bikes on the planet, better of buying used Japanese stuff.
if they're that unreliable why was the lxr the best selling chinese bike for the last 4 years, Normally those that complain about them have no knowledge of how to maintain a motorcycle or dont service it on time Have you owned one ?
@@RevBombUK Hi, Yes and it was an lxr, the reason they are a best seller is because of the price point and because of how good they look.
