Just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has watched these shadow hunters reactions, I’ve adored the show so much more than I initially thought I would, and I really hope this isn’t the last we’ll see if these characters. Such an incredible ending, the writers, crew and cast did an amazing job considering they only has 100 minutes to wrap everything up, and it showed how much love and care went into it.

Unfortunately the Edom story line was supposed to be dragged out a few episodes 😢 sad we didn’t get a season 4. But I was pretty happy with the ending

Same- I was never a Clace shipper but this episode changed my mind.
If anyone were to save the series, it could be about the journey of Clary getting her memories back together, Simon becoming a shadowhunter, and Malec getting their children👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

Regarding the Clace ending I haven't made up my mind yet if their love simply is stronger than the angel's spite. That for some reason this was the time she started being able to see him, aka convenient timing or... and I am currently leaning more towards this theory: That the angels let Clary and Jace have their love. The timing would make sense since Jace spoke to Simon in the scene before, this wasn't the first time Jace watched Clary while being glamoured, so why would she suddenly be able to see him now. Additionally, I think the gold you see in the final second of the show is like the gold when an angel appears. That an angel actively gave Clary back her sight or at least parts of it so she can see Jace and they get to fall for each other again.
Tirpse87 I think the angel had mercy on them and is responsible for letting her have her sight back. Jace said he prays every nights so I think they can show mercy especially since she’s been punished long enough, a whole year! That’s harsh!
The finale was amazing! I was so satisfied with everything I have no complains. Every character ended in a beautiful way. Malec is there changing the world, Maia being a part of that change, Luke and Marysse having their best life...
The Malec wedding was everything I ever wanted in my life. It was perfect. I cry so much! Even the "other" characters where on point.
Even with all this, I still want and will fight for the show to go on.
We can hope this isn’t the last we’ll see of these characters but if it is, in completely satisfied with this being an ending
Takis is a restaurant in the books where all downworlders hang out and have actually takes Clary there with Alec and Izzy in book one ❤️ that was a nod to book fans not a golden retriever it just wouldn’t make sense to bring it in for no reason 😂
I loved the finale so much!! If you're looking for another show to watch, I highly recommend Merlin. There are 5 seasons on Netflix, and I think you would enjoy it!
Just wanna say a few words to you Joe, thank you for being so open to this show, cause it honestly means so much to me and your reactions were always the ones I was waiting for the most. I loves watching the whole episodes with you and when I feel like rewatching the show I watch your uncut reactions because it's like watching with a friend. I love how you didn't immediately just give up on season 1 even though it definitely wasn't perfect, and I love how you grew to love this show, cause it's really special. Idk why it feels like goodbye, even though I watch your other reactions, but the SH finale just brought out the emotional dumbass in me, so... @@TrophyReacts In the books, it's not Clary who sacrificed herself, it's Simon. He sacrifices his mortality and his memories of everything in order for them to be able to leave Edom (I think he basically sells them to Magnus' father) and there is this huge thing of Izzy not getting over losing Simon but he also regains some of his memories and becomes a shadowhunter (because he isn't a vampire anymore) and in the book that's basically all about him, he becomes Clary's parabatai. Very short summary 😂
When I realized they were giving that sacrificing memories of the Shadow World storyline to Clary I was both happy and sad. Well, angry (w the angels) too but that's another story. On one side since Sizzy finally got together in the finale I was glad they got their happy ending rather than be torn apart so quickly. On the other Clarh did what she did to literally save the world and even her brother in a way, rather than for pyrely selfish reasons. And after all she and Jace endured it was clear that they deserved to finally be happy - but thanks to the Angela we know how that turned out. I'm just glad the final scene gave us hope that Clary could hopefully regain her memories and place in the shadow world so that's a relief 😉

Thats what I did "looking at the time" and thinking, THERE ISN'T ENOUGH TIME TO FIX THIS
Personally, I feel like if they were only given one episode to wrap up every ones stories, they should’ve at least been given a 2-hour episode so that it wouldn’t feel so rushed. But I agree with the fact that the writers did so well in wrapping up everything in such a short space of time. The actors did a phenomenal job, I don’t usually cry in shows or movies but this episode got me, especially the Malec wedding the Clizzy parabatai scene.
Thank you for all your shadowhunters reactions. I’ve really loved watching them and would always check to see if you had one up after the newest episodes. You have a great way of analyzing the show and I really like how you think about the characters and the concepts. I’m gonna miss this show so much. I didn’t think I would ever love it as much as I did, but here we are. I thought the writers did a good job with the wrap up given the limited time they had. I really really hope something happens with these same characters and actors in the future. I feel really weird now, like something is missing. :/

Loved your review for the finale. I thought it was beautifully wrapped up too given what the cast and director had.
The only storyline I'm actually disappointed with are Raphael's, Simon's and Jonathan's but I think that's only because I read the books. If I hadn't I think this ending would've been absolutely perfect.
I didn’t mind those apart from Jonathan, his death was done beautifully but his everlasting reign was so short lived aha

The funny thing is the books are quite a bit different. Not in relationships as everyone is with who they are supposed to be with but storyline’s changed from one character to another, and different outcomes to storyline’s occurred from the books. I definitely prefer the book storyline’s but love these actors and alway see them so clearly when reading the books. I wish they had had the chance to continue as I would have been interested to see if they followed the guide of the book’s although some would have had to change as Clary was not the one who lost her memory in the books.

I kinda prefered how they did things in the show compared with what happened in the books. In the books, the clave was still a big asshole to the downworlders, and Im glad they ended the show with malec changing things. I dont like how they ended things with Clace, but Im glad they ended it with them sort of reuniting atleast.
I think the weakest story overall in 3b, is Luke's with the whole praeter lupus. It just doesnt relate with the other storylines much.
