I've had my account disabled for most of the last 2 years now - only activated it for a month here and there - and it's made such a massive improvement to my life I have no desire to go back to using it. Haven't wanted to go all the way and delete it entirely because I have so many acquaintances all over the world that I'd otherwise never be able to get in touch with if I happened to be in their part of the world again, but after so many years without speaking to almost any of them it doesn't seem like I'd be losing that much. Just in the last couple weeks I've started seriously considering just deleting it permanently though, I never want to go back to using it.

I've been saying this since the podcast. 4 times joe asked him how he managed his time. Musk wouldn't give a straight answer. Joe asked him once, if he was an alien. He immediately responded yes. He is a fatalist about A.I. he is building rockets to get us into space and tunnels to get us underground. It's pretty interesting if you think about it all...

I've tried over a dozen times to delete my FB account and everytime I do, it always defaults to deactivating. And if not, it says it'll be deleted in a few days but it never does.

I deleted Facebook because (like CZcams) it sucks you into a black hole where time has no meaning. I logged on once during a toilet break at work. By the time I came out, I’d lost all feeling in my legs, everyone had gone home and the caretaker had locked up.

From then Facebook somewhat swore to be more stern on that and not allow the same events to happen. The problem is, the moment you want to stop something like that from happening, then you'll have to do some kind of censoring, and that'll probably end up having side effects.
