So damn true! They were a sensation. Ride On Time became the biggest selling single of 1989. For a house tune that was completely unprecedented. House had started to break into the mainstream in ‘87 & ‘88 with Inner City, S’Express, Bomb The Bass, Beatmasters, and one off’s like MARRS, Krush, Jack n Chill and several others... but, Ride On Time stayed at #1 for six weeks in September/October 1989.

I feel so blessed to have been young in the 80s and 90s it was absolutely magical. It was so good that we were actually aware that we were living in the best of times in the moment. I mean seriously I can't explain it. I feel sorry for anyone who missed it.

I love this song. I love everything Black Box has done. It's the soundtrack to my teen years. I do not understand why people are so hung up on who is singing the song and if she is a woman or not. It doesn't detract from the amazing music, but it does show how horrid people are. I love Black Box. One of the first CD's I bought. Thank you.
