Thats a whole ton of patience there G.E - wonder how this game will fair veiws wise. Now that the "dev is supposedly back" i hope the game comes out complete. personally won't be re-installing this anytime soon if ever simply because i remember the dev going. 1.0 released. im done cause all you game supporters s..k. 1.0 being a broken release where 90% of the time the game broke somewhere in the story and your could not progress or finish it at all.

The devs have been playing the same game for years. I was there Gandalf... 3000 years ago. They made updates for years, just to go back to literally the original state when giving out 1.0. Removed all the additions they added over the many years, so the game became empty. The game was literally much better and wholesome 4 years ago.
I think they are trying to do the same: bait people with illusionary updates. I'd not recommend buying or playing or spending any time on this game. I've done all of them... 🤷♂️
@@markr2609 The last year before release was when everything changed, can't fly to other planets, teleporters removed, creatures broken, most of the other bases removed, they stripped a lot out of the game, but added those annoying beetle bugs everywhere, and every morning you have to kill a host of beetles that descend on your base during the night, and the giant sand worm is no longer restricted to the desert. This used to be a great survival/build/exploration game, so sad at the state of it now.
So a few months back I went to purchase this game and was concerned when it was taken off steam. Those that have it can download it but steam no longer sells it. I figured the game was dead. I’m glad to hear it got updates. I do hope the dev finishes the game or atleast fixes some of the bugs

This game was awesome when it came out. I am glad the devs came back. It has been a long time since the bugs gave me the willies. I hope they fixed the pathing for the drones. Mine would get stuck while they were out gathering or on patrol. Good luck with the playthrough .

Been over a yr since I played OND. Might need to check it out again.
I know nothing about this game (and missed you you first played it,) so I wanted to thank you for teaching me about this game GE! 3:45 So in non-engineer terms, ship went *BOOM?*
I've found it best to use 3 stone knives, I use the makeshift chisel for soft metals and gathering meat and berries as well as the combat knife. Gathering berries off the floor again is a bit of a pain but if the game writer likes it, who am I to complain. Not met up with the queen yet. I don't know whether that front right tyre was a glitch or a forfeit for not having the right stuff the first time, the tyre did glitch out and back in again but it should have been only one rubber and two bronze. Oh, and the small horseshoe crabs are a lot more dangerous now. The stone knives come in handy if you get attacked by a mob. I hope they do finally make this into a game. It is one of the best games of this kind there is.

Wow i cant believe an abandoned game that was removed from the steam store came back after 10 years and now wants to act like its a new game from 2023 is a joke. This game has been a buggy abandoned mess for years. Though because of this video series ill try playing the game again to see if its gotten a lot better. I will give them another chance even though i shouldn't. Thanks for the great video

I really hope this will be back on Steam in the future. Wanted to get it last year for Bday, but it was taken down. Great to see dev is still working on it.
The compass bearings might help Gamedged, for locating those minerals. Much better than the old longitude and latitude. I could never work that out :)
The direction you are facing is indicated on the minimap, and any markers that you place are also shown alongside the compass headings, however if you place more than 1 marker at a time, and they are close together, they obscure each other as well as your position, so you can run right past them without realising, as GE did, twice. lol
I added it to my wishlist....maybe someday we can buy it.
If you find an empty liquid container, the methane pool makes an easy source of fuel for the furnace. Ditto for the buggy, but requires an upgrade for it. However, that particular upgrade is easy even at the beginning of the game.

Always loved this game, was very disappointed when the developers 'abandonded' (rushed to 1.0) a and then w worked on something else. Very happy there is an update and VERY happy that you are covering it. Thank you
Just started playing again. Most of the updates are on the experimental build. Just started on survival and the crab queen makes her presence know well before you see it. Scared the life out of me
Thats a major bug - repair costs for baggy changed drasticly as GE was playing

Saw the update news and decided my morbid curiosity wasn't enough to warrant downloading the new test version. The way they ignored feedback during development and kept shoving stuff to live combined with the atrocious state they left the game while blaming player expectations left too sour a taste.
I am wondering if they ever fixed the exploit where building and demolishing walls would power level that part of the skill xp system. Spotted the droid UI mentioned but nothing about if they work and do remember that turrets didn't shoot anything so it'll be interesting to see if anything from the list is a fix or just words.

@@MB-jq2jw Shortly after 1.0 release there was a post saying that they were leaving steam and if anyone wants to buy go to their website. The assumption by a lot of folk was that the game was being abandoned again (it has a very up&down track record) but then this patch turned up.
@@andybrown4284 well they tried fixing alot of broken systems while adding a actual plotline to the game as well as logical progression instead of forcing everyone to play exactly the same character. And the community did nothing but bully them till they finally gave up.
@@tazman2253 I have no idea where you got that nonsense from, they removed half of the game before release, so they deserved the flak, and broke the creature AI so badly they removed most of those too, the beetles used to be contained to the small forest section but now they are everywhere and swarm your base every night. No one was forced to play the same character, but now there is no choice in how you play, because the other choices are broken you must play on story mode. The only thing broken before the last year of development, was the story, and they sacrificed half the game to fix that. If criticising the choices made by a developer is considered bullying now, then there are a whole lot of snowflakes around.

I still don't know the aim of this game. So this guy crash landed on this rock. Was he going somewhere? If he was, the main aim for him would be to resume his journey to wherever he was going. They should add one main objective. Like you can create those space ships and venture out in space to nearby space rocks. Maybe there's a massive space-station that needs repairs. Or he has to gather stuff to build a hyper drive to get out of this area. Something I always thought was missing in this game. It's a super fun game though. and it looks gorgeous.
The back story is not really known I watched this when he first played it years back. I love the style of the game space games are my fave. But it would be cool if you could make your own backstory
Not sure if I remember it correctly, but pretty sure an expedition was sent to this planet a few years earlier and mysteriously went dark. We've been sent to the planet to find out why. As you play through you discover abandoned bases and audio logs to piece the mystery together
@@ianwright2321 ah ok. That seems like a task. Though I don't know why the guy crashed on the planet though. Could've landed normally to investigate. (Though, then he would have had all the weapons and tools with him.) maybe that's why the crash.

I always think it's weird they work on things late game when the bare bones of the game need a crap ton of work still. UI, bugs, animations, clipping, etc.

I am embarrassed to even ask this but where in the world do you find sticks/branches? I’ve hit trees with the chisel I’ve walked around for hours. Hoping it’s just me missing something obvious but I am kinda stuck. Any help would for sure be appreciated

It's back there now. But buyer beware. They absolutely abandoned it almost exactly one year ago. But they do seem to be working on it again now.

- I am playing this but cannot figure out how he got the items on the screen to highlight with that blue highlighting feature, and it's making it extremely difficult for me to even figure out where rocks are.
- Also, I noticed a few other differences, for example when he is harvesting berries, they fall on the ground; when I do it they just go right into inventory - but I literally just installed the game and this video was within the last 3 days so they have to be the same version right? a couple other things not quite the same - very odd.

Funny how this game has a update. But the game won't show in steam. Trough your link it shows the game with the text that the developer want it to be hidden on steam. Shame looks like a great game. Have seen all the series you did on this. Now I can't play the game. 😢

I loved Osiris until it finally released from early access and it was a hot mess. No updates in over a year? This update better be good to get me to install it again. I spent thousands of hours on this game and was really dissapointed with the final product. But there is no denying that I got my monies worth until it became too buggy and frustrating to continue playing.
yeah - I did over 400 hours and then they destroyed it with the 1.0 release - I am waiting to see how it all goes now (thanks gameedged ) before I bother reinstalling it.
I don't think the game has that much new stuff to make it worth replaying, most of the new stuff involved fixing problems with multiplayer and some new tutorials, I've never seen you do a saga of 7 days to die playing solo, that would be cool, besides 7 days is the most popular survival game on Steam.
It does feel smoother and do like the QOL added. Love this game. Thanks for watching, you rock
