Anyone else love how these videos are always him finding this believed “impossible” scenario but then proceeds tells us of this ancient prophecy where the old ones told of a way to do it but ONLY by flipping you car 164 degrees during the climax of a blood moon when the cries of a newborn babe call out! Only in fulfillment of that act will our host be victorious! (Then over the course of an hour he describes his multi-month journey to do it.)

You are so inspiring: “if you haven’t given up, you haven’t failed.” I’m going to remember that forever
100% agreed, I also love how 30 seconds after that he says "Fuck all of you" sksks
I wrote it down in my notes! 📝
Except it's not quite accurate. 🤓 It'd make more sense to reword it as: "Failure doesn't mean you can't succeed - giving up does". Extended version: "Failure means you've not managed to succeed so far, not that you can't succeed eventually. The only thing that can stop you from the latter is giving up".
That doesn't mean giving up is "the real failure". Failure means lack of success, or, not having reached a goal. Whether it's trying and not succeeding or giving up at trying, both are failures and neither is a more "real"/"true" failure. But we may be prone to believing failing means more than what it means (e.g. that we'll never succeed or that we're a failure). It doesn't. So let's not fear calling failures "failures".
TedTalk over, thank you.

“Insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over and expecting something to change.” -Vaas Montenegro
20:20 Wirtual gave a big middle finger to insanity.
who is Vaas Montenegro, isnt this an Albert Einstein quote?
Well, technically he isn't doing the "exact" same thing over and over. Because there are miliseconds of difference between button presses, how much his wheels were turned, how long he held some button etc.
As Wirtual said - Trackmania is deterministic. So it was never the exactly same attempt, but from our perspective it seems so (similarly for example as 2 ikea tables aren't exactly the same, even if it is the same model, because on molecular scale there will be difference, some small damage on the wood, etc.)
But your comment made me laugh. Especially if you think about the "OH FUCK ALL OF YOU!" he shouted when he finally got it :D
@@BeSk9991 czcams.com/video/EBnczwMjeao/video.html
He wasn't doing the same thing though, it was slightly different each attempt ;)
@@fredmanM it's not an Einstein quote, Vaas Montenegro is from Farcry 6.

I wrote this down in the moments following my decision to live despite the suffering. I try to share it when I see someone going through the same thing.
“They say it gets better. That there’s light at the end of the tunnel. But for some people it’s just not true. And, by their own hand, those tortured souls are no longer here to tell us so. Those people are at peace now, there’s solace in that. As for us, I believe there is hope that we can make it to better days. Or perhaps not. But there’s only one way to find out... keep going.”

just fyi, Wirtual, at 22:06 you said “E05 Obstacle”. reminder; it should say E05 Endurance.
other than that, great video as always 🙂
this reminds me of a quote by Emily Dickenson “Luck is not chance, it’s toil. Fortune’s expensive smile is earned.” Well done Wirtual
Seems like that quote confounds luck (beneficial influence of external factors, including some more "random" ones aka chance) with achievement though. And for what?
Say, if you were born with a fully functional body, you're lucky (albeit not extraordinarily so); you didn't put any effort into that. But what you'll do with that body will be achievements - and they'll be partly a result of said luck, partly of your toil. Or WRs in TM: whether you're the holder of one or not depends not just on your skills and effort but also on factors such as whether others have as much skill and put as much effort in as you or not - the latter being luck. Bad luck, on the other hand, would be things like unfavorable weather when we want to go out, or being born with a dysfunction, or having someone perform better than us in TM (of course benefits and disadvantages is a complex aspect of things).
Meanwhile, the quote appears to suggest luck - as commonly defined - doesn't exist and all successes and otherwise good fortune in our lives are due to *our* [hard] work; that there are no external influences that co-create our lives, everything that happens to us - good or bad - is because of our own doing - [hard] work or failure to put in enough work. Which is inaccurate and can lead to unjustified self-blame, guilt, etc.
It's like the author of the quote wanted to say "your life is not just what happens to you - it's also what you do! If you want to be successful, relying on external factors will likely be far from enough. So get a grip and be proactive!" and decided to go into an extreme perspective (suggesting luck itself is never truly a factor) to make the message more potent.
(yes, I love writing essays in yt comments).
You give the most inspirational speeches I have ever heard I literally have tears in my eyes realizing that I can’t give up that I need to push myself thank you I hope you have a wonderful life❤
