i know exactly what you mean, since arma's 3 release, i have upgraded 3x my gpu,
and dare i say my oldest gpu would run this game just as well as my latest gpu.
this game is heavily CPU dependant.
@@skapunker1986 i bought a new pc with a I9 10200F i believe and it runs SOG Singleplayer Missions with 60 Fps min
Even my shit computer with 1st gen i7 2.8 Ghz and GTX 970 can run ARMA 3 smoothly with loads of Mods. I was playing CR CTI with hundreds of AI units and 20 players on boths sides heavily modded.
It's quite hard to fly on advanced, but the experience leaves you speechless, you can feel the Huey!
espically the weight of picking up a full squad. You can feel the weight

I zoom my camera all the way out. I have an assignment that toggles between maximum zoom in, and maximum zoom out.
Also, I’m recording with a 3440 × 1440 resolution, which is a widescreen 21:9 aspect ratio. This probably adds a few degrees of extra FOV as well.

Hy, do you know by any chance, how to turn the gunsight on the pilotseat for the gunship version on ? I can see it on the top of the windshield, but don't know how to lower.
You’ll need to use the scroll menu. There should be an option called "M60 gunsight", or something similar. You’d use that to toggle the sight up/down.

You aren’t limited to any roles. It’s a full expansion, so it’ll be full sandbox, just like the vanilla game, your choice of air, land, and/or sea.
How did you remove the nose indicator and velocity indicator?
The option is at the same place where you switch between standard and advanced flight model. Game Options → General → Helicopter Flight Model, Look for the "Show Gauges" option, set it to "Disabled".

Its a shame advanced flight model in arma is too buggy to use it for multiplayer ops. Hella fun to fly tho!
all I do is use afm in multiplayer
@@Boots.556 Hats off to u man, i guess if u learn what to avoid, then u can do it safely. but theres a lot of stuff u just cant do in AFM tho, and theres always the threat of randomly exploding if u nick a twig on the ground when landing
@-liam0077 yes that's fact there is goods and bads, I have roughly 1500 hours in afm flying hueys, you can get greater top speed, but you can not sling load and it also contributes weight so you can not take a full load of people out unless you have a head wind and alot of space to gain airspeed, some landing pads will blow you up but you find that out after you try one and then just land on ground next to them, if you get shot you can still control airflcraft and withstand wich is another positive
@@Boots.556 one of the issues i had when i flew AFM in the huey a while back was players running in to the side of huey causing it to bounce around. Was so bad that it would flip the huey when ur stationary on solid ground.

No TRQ indicator, huh? It feels like WIND EFFECT DISABLED, STRESS DAMAGE DISABLED, ROUGH LANDING DISABLED ... so what exactly you are calling ADVANCED FLIGHT MODEL?
I can’t tell if you’re flaming me, or flaming the game.
I’m also not sure what you mean about TRQ indicator. You can clearly see the torque gauge moving when the engine is spooling up, and the RPM indicator on the HUD turning from red to amber.
I do fly with Advanced Flight Model, with all the AFM options disabled. Let me break it down for you.
Here are my settings:
Show Gauges → Disabled
I prefer flying with the cockpit instruments, because that’s I feel it’s more intuitive (that’s what I do in my flight simulators), and I find the screen gauges ruin the immersion of flying.
Rough Landing → Disabled
This means that you CANNOT slam your aircraft down on the ground. You HAVE to land gently. This forces me to be smooth and consistent with my landings.
Wind Effects → Disabled
I disable wind effects because my old unit liked to set stupid high wind settings in their mission making, probably because of the effect it has on smoke. It’s impossible to fly if you have AFM enabled. I find it easier to just leave it off all the time.
Auto Trim → Disabled
This means that the game will not "stabilise" the helicopter for you. You have to hold maintain constant inputs in all stages of flight. I find this better for my muscle memory, especially when crossing over to simulators like DCS.
Stress Damage → Disabled
Again, this is because of the mods my unit uses. We fly with a very wide variety of helicopter mods, and some have wildly inconsistent damage models. You can lose your main/tail rotor when a ground guy bumps into your hull. You can explode when sling-loading something as light as an ammo crate. I also find it easier to just leave it off all the time.
Everyone has their own personal preference. Just because they don’t match up with your standards, it doesn’t mean that they’re terrible pilots. One of the best pilots I know flies with a laptop trackpad. Who are we to judge?

meanwhile, I, flew the little bird in Afghanistan and crashed landing, make 3 of my friends died :V
