The video was in 7g speed, things should be more slow and explained well like from scratch, how and why are using the ball in the arm,,,, I get no idea man.
Quick question, the version of Illustrator you're using, what is it? Does the Duik plugin work on any version of Illustrator or is it exclusive for the CC Series?
1. Create layered character in Illustrator 2. Import to AE as a composition 3. Move anchor points to correct positions 4. Parent body parts by clicking and dragging the pick whip icon 5. Use Duik plugin to add controllers for the rig 6. Click on 2-Layer IK to complete the rigging 7. Important: remove "autostretch" option so body parts stay together
Great tutorial! Rather than copying and pasting each item onto its own layer in illustrator, you could select the master layer, click the panel options menu (top right) and select "Release to Layers (Sequence)." Then just drag the sub-layers into top-level layers and rename!
This video is easy to understand yet so simple. I'm stuck in Motion Graphic, and you open a new door for me: Character Animation. Now it's over 2 years and I've come a long way, all thanks to you. Thank you for this video, you're the best Mark.
You are the man! Once I get a job after learning all these stuff, I will come back and drop a lil sum on your Patreon. You deserve the best! Thank you.
I want to give this five thumbs ups for being one of the most incredibly easy to understand and concise animation tutorials I’ve ever watched! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
hey a TIP! instead of cut-pasting each object.. you can distribute different objects to layers by going into -----">Layers Panel Menu ...>Release to Layers (Sequence) or Release to Layers (Build)"------ all objects will be distributed to separate layers stacked under the main layer... then you can manually drag them out... BTW! really cool character :0 :D
That's the first tutorial that explains clear and fast the steps, without getting into irrelevant complicated bone structures. And also.. IS FLAT ART *THAT* EASY?? It looks awesome!
Awesome Tutorial Mark . This is a very helpful tutorial for beginners . Your brushes are cool !! Helpful channel for illustration design , highly recommend it .
This guy is God. I've been following your tutorials, the voice(Accent) that's Classic. In one Video I thought you must have been really high (It was the first time I came across your work) but I guess that's how chilled you sound when it's this easy to make this stuff. You are a legend in my book!!!
Oh my God! YOU KNOW HOW GREAT IT IS?! I'm incredibly grateful! Honestly, I'm about to cry because I studied animation in our rus lessons that last an hour and I didn't get anything done( Thank you so much, my exams are saved!

thanks for the tip
Stephen Garofalo Appreciate the tip sir - saved me a lot of time with my workflow now...
This can work if I create the base body first then without details. Because if I add details I'll need more paths within one layer.
Stephen Garofalo how do you save a rigged character in after effects to use him in future animations
amazing tip!!
thanksalot
My God!! This is the easiest AE rigging tutorial EVER!!
Ikr
I'm never hitting auto-rig again.
Haha, so true!

Will you please do one tutorial for the new duik version? It doesn't match anything with the older versions anymore and a bit confusing lol .
hey a TIP! instead of cut-pasting each object.. you can distribute different objects to layers by going into -----">Layers Panel Menu ...>Release to Layers (Sequence) or Release to Layers (Build)"------ all objects will be distributed to separate layers stacked under the main layer... then you can manually drag them out...
