      Reminds me of the time I got an Ace Frehley pick that he tossed out to the crowd. My house always looked like shit, and when I finally got around to vacuum, like once every six months at best, I always heard shit go pling plong in the vacuum without bothering to open it up and see what it was. Wish I did that time, tho. I no longer have an Ace Frehley pick. I swear to god I played better on it too! That's probably why I lost it, I should have had that thing framed or something, instead of playing it. Whatever, blah blah yada yada , who cares. I'm drunk, watching random CZcams vids commenting to nobody again. Ace, if you see this, hit me up with a pick. No, two picks. Cause I'm gonna frame one off 'em, and play the other. And vacuum that fucker later. And be pissed off why I bothered to vacuum in the first place.

    Growing up in Abilene tx. My dad went to highschool with Vinny. Years later me and my brother would go play gigs around Dallas tx. When they were off the road they would show up and hang out with everyone. Even played with dime a few times. The most humbling people you could of ever met

  • @danwest9900
    @danwest9900 Před 3 lety +5

    Bill said it right. Vinnie Paul didn't overuse his twin kick drums. He used them to really spice the songs up WHEN it FIT the song. Been listening to a lot of Pantera lately. They were one of those bands with unlimited, raw creativity and talent, and they really revived the interest in metal music (along with Metallica) in the States.

    One of the last times I saw Burr at the Majestic Theater in Dallas, I walked out of the bathroom after the show and Vinnie Paul walked right by me, up the staircase. The Pantera guys were always known to be supporters and regulars at the local DFW comedy clubs.

  • @f3uibeghardt522
    @f3uibeghardt522 Před 2 lety +4

    Vinnie's the best drummer. So fucking tight and mechanically precise, and it just kicked your fucking teeth in everytime. Some might think it'd make you sound soulless and sterile, but it was the exact opposite with Vinnie. He and Dime were both just locked in so tight, yet they played with so much feel.

  • @darrellmanning8197

    I saw Pantera twice,first in 1991 after the release of Cowboys from hell,they opened for Skid Row and just blew them away,hands down,and saw them again in 1997 in Atlanta where they were the headliners.I also got to see Vinnie twice with Hellyeah with a meet and greet on the second time.We talked for maybe 45 minutes and he was just the nicest,coolest dude.I walked up to him all star struck because he was then and still is my favorite drummer.The first thing he said to me was you're a drummer,I said yeah,how did you know that?He said,you have drummers arms,being a metal drummer for now 36 years we talked about drumming....lol.He was so down to earth and humble.It broke my heart when he passed away but I will never forget those 4 concerts and the chance to hang out with the great Vinnie Paul!!!! RIP
