Why do so many people seem to think that the plane crash was the point when FARM was dropped from the show's title? This happened in 1989!!! Plus there seems to be a widespread belief that this was when storylines started to become, not racy, but racier, etc... I don't think that was the case... I think it had already become more modern since just becoming "EMMERDALE". I think part of the reason for the plane crash was to attract more younger viewers, because, although the style of production had changed in order to become more accessible to a younger audience, the ratings still hadn't picked up by this point. Remember Rachel & Kim's affairs, Pete's death in a hit and run, Frank's confession of assisted suicide, Sarah's kidnapping, Lorraine's sexual abuse, Zoe coming out as a lesbian? - This actually happened before the plane crash.
23:30 - 23:47 - Frank grabs Kim & throws her out from Home Farm. Nice 1, Frank, serves her right. 😁👍When u find out your wife has been doing the dirty on you - not to mention the wife giving her lover an expensive watch as a gift! ⌚ Frank should have served Kim divorce papers before chucking her out. Would have been a nice Christmas present for her- just like Den served Angie divorce posers on Christmas day 1986 in EastEnders. 😁
I was reminded of a scene from a while ago in that, where Roy found out Pat had been cheating with Frank ( the EastEnders one!) and did exactly the same- except it was snowing then.
Did Kim literally have to walk all the way to Neil Kincaid’s house in the freezing cold or at least to the nearest phone? I mean I don’t think she had her car keys or anything else on her
