Loved the video and the exercise. One piece of feedback - I'm a super beginner and would have found it helpful if you explained how you were mixing the colors and talked through how much water you were using... would have helped understand the water to paint ratios etc. I will definitely keep watching the other exercise videos! Thank you for making them!
Decades ago, I followed a watercolour course. The teacher put emphasis on the drawing and we never got to do exercises like this. This is genius. I will follow all your exercises. I am horrible at drawing, but I loooooove watercolour. And your video is very good and I love your tone of voice.
Thank you for this tutorial; I have taken up painting as I battle cancer. It helps me to relax and takes my mind of the situation I am currently in. Your lessons are helping me a lot. Thanks again. Elaine :)
I'm just here staring at how the ends of the tape are so identical
if i could marry a colour i would definitely marry the darker one
I’m having a really hard time making the actual transparency look like it is “watercolory” it looks more like a tempera paint gradient lol. I just started painting yesterday and I wanted my first to try and be watercolor because of how pretty it looks. I’m afraid that the paints that I have are just not even close to being good. Are they any paints and brushes that are affordable, but still have rather great quality?
Do you think someone like me who has no talent in art can be good at water colour? I'm trying to find a talent and a new hobbies :)
I am not sure how to go about using watercolors that come in a tube, I do not want to squeeze too much out and waste it, but I do not know how much is a usual amount to use... Any advice anyone ?
What kind of paper are u using
I'm a newbie to watercolor and I looooooooooooove this series of lessons!
thank you for doing this video series. it is so helpful. and rare, that artists share knowledge for free. 💚
I'm an old dog trying to learn a new trick ... watercoloring. This series is so wonderful, I can't thank you enough!
So can you replicate this when doing a drawing? IE: Is there a "recipie"? I'm thinking you Do
Thank you so much for noticing that there are not many real beginner videos available that show the real basics.
The tip which you said to have a spare paper to test out really had saved my time in fixing and making my water colour painting to look good. Thanks!!!!!!
Can I just comment that your hands are beautiful! 😍
Thanks for sharing this exercise! I just bought my first watercolor palette, brushes, and watercolor paper last night and am excited to try this out. This is exactly what I was hoping to find! Thank you!
131people have disliked this video?? jeez, I mean, what the hell? do they have to be that petty? painting classes are not cheap at all, so this tutorials are totally awesome, plus, it is pretty self explanatory,
I love this so much! I suddenly woke up a day wanting to paint. I always liked it and tough it was beautiful but I always told myself if I didn't knew since and early age then I would never do, I remember even telling a friend that I would love to paint and they say I couldn't cause some people are just born with it. So today I woke up and started looking for beginner videos and found yours, I'm so happy I did, thanks so much for this great videos! ❤️
New to watercolor. This is what I really need to know to get started. Thank you for showing the very basics.
