There are many beautiful mountains here in Washington State, but we really have to go into backcountry to experience the beauties. I've booked a flight to Switzerland, I'll explore Eiger area. There are many beautiful mountains here in Washington State, but we have to go into backcountry to enjoy those views. I booked air to Switzerland in this summer, I'm sure I'll explore the Eiger area while I'm staying in Lauterbrunnen. We were just in Washington State for the first time and it is very beautiful. We went to Olympic National Park and had a beautiful clear day. You are going to Love the Eiger area. The mountains are so striking. Enjoy your trip!

@@motto2124 We were there last May, and still cant get over it, the beauty of nature was amaaaaazing! Been to switzerland many times but this area was one of my fave travel destination in switzerland so far! Eseltwald, Jungfrau/top of europe, Lauterbrunen and the lake briez was the hightlights! Very expensive but worth the money. Enjoy your visit.

I went there by train 30 years ago. I don’t remember there’s a gondola. It looks more convenient and comfortable to travel there now

If we purchase the jungfrau travel pass like for good for 4days can we use it everyday like go lauterbrunnen on first day and second day to grindelwald. Can we do it like that? I want unlimited travel pass. Just so confusing coz i asked about the jungfrau travel pass from page i emailed them and they said No.

19:34 you mean you hopped on from Interlaken to the Harder Kulm, Grindelwald is much smaller than Interlaken, which is basically the main town there :P
Btw, Inter Laken means between lakes ;)

Would the Eiger Trail be advisable (or any other hikes in general) to be done in November/December period?
as you are at a high altitude: no
there may be a lot of snow and ice which would make this trail harder (and potentially dangerous) it may be posibble to do with snowshoes and other additional equipment🤷🏼♀️? these things you can rent in grindelwald and they can also give you advise on how doable this or other snowshoe-hikes are
Did you find yourself affected by the elevation anywhere in and around Grindelwald and the peaks? If so, do you have recommendations to avoid elevation sickness? Thank you! Great video!! Lots of info!!
We didn't feel the elevation. Some people did at Jungfraujoch, but just make sure to take things slow, drink plenty of fluids and rest if you feel lightheaded.

Great video! My daughter and I are staying in Grindelwald for 4 nights in October before we head to Germany. We definitely do a lot of the things you have suggested. I’m nervous still, we are from the states, it’ll be long way from home. Is it pretty safe there?

We visited Switzerland during the last 3 weeks of August last year and had beautiful weather. It was busy, but beautiful.

We visited in mid August and yes, we had beautiful weather. Only one day of rain.

Yes, you can get down by trotti bike, zip line, hiking etc.

It was 150 CHF but things are changing constantly. I would check with the Switzerland government website and I see what tests or paperwork is needed. Cheers.
I had a PCR test taken in Lucerne right near the train station. It cost me 45 Swiss francs.

It will be tight but it is doable. You can stay overnight at the Cliffwalk as well.

In the mountains it depends.. in July temperatures during the day in Grindelwald usually are between 55 und 75 degrees F, so you‘d be fine with 2 layers of clothing…

Just wondering , How much such a trip costs ? i know that Switzerland is pretty expensive .
It really depends. You can stay in hostels for a more reasonable price. The Jungfrau Travel Pass is $190 for a 3 day pass and includes top of Europe. Hotel prices vary from around $300 to $1000. The Romantik Hotel where we stayed is more on the $1000 range but the location is amazing and we had half board which included breakfast and dinner.
My accommodation is about €50/night with Airbnb.
The thing that I’ve seen gets expensive is food.
Yeah, food can always be expensive. An Airbnb is a good way to be able to use the kitchen. @@hannesolivier204
The Gondola Rides from Grindelwald are they completely operational in May? Can anyone help?
They are, except the ones to Männlichen which are closed until May 26 due to maintenance work.

We stayed at the Romantik Hotel Schweizerhof Grindelwald and it was fantastic - good location and great views. Right beside the rail and walking distance to gondolas

It is still ski season in Grindelwald in March. I checked the snow report today March 1 and all lifts are open.

Very nice look at the Berner Oberland but omg your pronunciation of the Jungfrau etc.....were painful to listen to. I grew up in this area (Hasliberg) and I was delighted with your video but incredulous that you tried to interpret an English pronunciation of these areas.
