    This is a point and shoot gun that’s why the sights are the way they are.

    I got Crimson trace. I love it. Not even so much for the self defense, but the standard sight is so bad, you don't want to practice with it. Adding the laser at least makes basic target shooting somewhat entertaining. Had the laser at least 15 yrs, mostly kept in a truck 24/7 year round and never, ever had a problem. Had to change the $3 battery maybe twice.

      I agree, I didn't find shooting the LCP fun until I installed the Laser.

    I love the Crimson Trace Laser Guard.
    I have it on my Ruger Max 9, S&W M&P Shield, & Kahr P9. It works fantastic!
    I want to get a LCP 2 .22 LR someday. It will eventually have a Crimson Trace Laser Guard on it.

    You never need to turn on your Crimson trace,
    It's there without needing to think about it

    • @StoneHouseHomestead
      @StoneHouseHomestead  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you are correct. The integrated switch keeps the laser off until you need it. Just remember to replace the battery at least once a year if you are using your LCP for home defense.

      @@StoneHouseHomestead The use of silver oxide batteries is also important,
      They last longer and for me leak less

      Thanks for the suggestion, we've been target shooting more often and the Crimson Trace has been a godsend versus the sites.

    You need to install Galloway spring kit and trigger on the guns. Vast improvement.

    This may end as duplicate comment. You should upgrade with Galloway Precision spring and trigger.

    Yeah um ya know Leather Smithing isn't to terribly difficult. All kinds of videos online. I hear they don't make much but you can add about anything ya want. Some starter kits on Amazon f/ cheap and almost worthless to better. And you can make your own hats and belts too save couple bucks. And buy more ammo. ! lol
    That what I'm thinkin' about doin'

    I installed an Armalaser brand on mine…. Uses a sensor on the trigger ring rather then a button…

      How does it know its your finger on the trigger and not a detent from the holster?

    • @timlee1118
      @timlee1118 Před rokem +3

      Not sure…But it will not activate while holstered….The sensor is at the bottom of the trigger ring where the trigger ring connects to the grip of the gun….

    You said your first one wasn't threaded and went right through, so you checked the thread on the new one and it was threaded. When you put it together, the screws went almost all the way through before you had to start turning them. Logicly, the first side wouldn't be threaded.

    • @StoneHouseHomestead
      @StoneHouseHomestead  Před 2 lety

      Correct, the first half of the laser sight is NOT threaded but the second half IS. When assembling the two halves together the screw passes through the first half and stops whe it encounters the threads in the other half. The defective laser sight did not have threads in the second half.

    • @davidg8032
      @davidg8032 Před 2 lety +1

      @@StoneHouseHomestead My apologies. I got the two halfes mixed up. Part of my confusion was that when I took mine apart, I had unscrew it all the way out of both sides. And when I reassembled it, mine didn't pass through the first side like I assumed it should and would. I had to screw it in all the way through both halves. . Maybe if I had exserted a little more preasure it would have sliped through the first side, but I didn't want to chance striping the threeds.

      I've only used a pocket holster, but Melissa has a traditional holster that she likes better. She likes it better because women's pants traditionally have smaller pockets and are fitted more tightly. It would be harder to draw the LCP from her pocket.
