- Correction: Auto-Acquisition Forward commands the tpod to start tracking. TDC Depress Designates when the TPOD is set to do so. Having CDES boxed does both with Auto-Acquisition Forward:
The DCS F15e Laser Guided Bomb is currently the only precision weapon available for the Strike Eagle in Early Access. The F15E has the GBU12 500lb Laser Guided bomb and the GBU10 and GBU24 2000lb models.
Today we're going to be using the GBU12 to target a specific plane on the ramp without damaging the nearby neutral aircraft. We will be operating mostly from the pilot's cockpit of the F15e, with minimal WSO interaction needed.

You can adjust auto/manual laser from the tpod top center. Where it says ALAS or MLAS. Many tutorials suggest using MLAS, but ALAS is currently functional and is my preferred option, as it eliminates the need to bind another key.

I intend to... I'm waiting for them to sort out some of the stability and performance issues with the module first though. My hardware is quite modest so it can be problematic for me to run the module at the moment.

I've been trying the included mission, Artificial Reef, to get used to using the laser-guided bomb (the second one you're supposed to use in the mission), but every time I drop the bomb and either manually or auto lase, the bomb always sails right over and misses the ship by 200-300 meters. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
I'll give the mission a try when I have a chance this weekend and report back!
@@GotSpaceGame I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, I just can't figure out what step I might be missing. I see the flashing lase symbol, but the bomb basically goes on a straight trajectory from the drop and never follows the laser. Maybe I need to set the code somewhere in the armament section?
