- I limited out on BIG Mangrove Snapper fishing with live Pinfish as bait. In this adventure I join Willie from For Reel Fishing 941 in his hometown waterway. We had a great time getting hooked up to Redfish, Snook and Mangrove Snapper. We had a large assortment of bait that we caught in the castnet, Greenback Shiners, Threadfins, Croakers and Pinfish.

Just stay away from the poop shoot when biting them in half. I am envious of Willie's live well. Keeping thread Fins alive this time of year, WOW. Generally speaking, loosey-goosey, when fishing back home I catch my bigger Snapper on Pin Fish.
The spot is very special... once you throw it, the bait fish grabs it

A few weeks ago I got a bunch of small pin in the net at marker 1 definitely great bait for the mangos! I really have good luck while drifting in the canals on an incoming tide .
It's pretty cool seeing you fish in my waters. You pretty much taught me everything I know about saltwater fishing from the shore.

Yes, it was a piece of monofilament that was about a half inch long.

Love the videos, love the fishing. I’ll side with them here tho and say 1” or 3’, generally a better look (even if it’s just for the viewers that are concerned) to toss it in the trash back at shore than in the water. Even if it ends up in the same place, no one wants to feel like they’re taking part in damaging the environment. Especially as outdoorsman, I believe it’s our duty to leave it cleaner than we found it ya know.
