Fishing with Pinfish to Catch Big Redfish & Snook (New PB Inshore Slam)

- In this video, I set out with the goal to go inshore fishing just north of Tampa Bay, Florida using pinfish as bait. I started the morning by showing you how I use dry chum and a cast net to catch pinfish. I then used those pinfish as live bait to catch snook along a beach. Next, I used the pinfish as cut bait to catch redfish at high tide along mangrove shorelines. Only needing a speckled trout to complete my inshore slam, I targeted them with a live pinfish under a bobber. However, I kept catching more redfish and snook instead. I then switched over to a D.O.A. C.A.L. and ended up catching a trout to complete the slam, plus a surprise bonus cobia.

Tlaking about underrated then also look at- Reel journey
To the Thumb down guy " Don't hate get out and Navigate" You nailed it Brent!!!
How can anyone thumb down this video and this dude? its a perfect video and he's a stand-up guy smh... GREAT JOB on the video @Seeyadude 👏👏👏
You're a great fishing you tuber because you actually show what you're catching the fish with unlike the other you tubers where they just show to fish being caught and being a sellout to their sponsors. Keep up the good work!
Helluva day...Fish, dolphins, hawks...
Like a National Geographic Series...
You are fun to watch Keep it up.
my wife and i just moved to tampa and im trying to learn the ropes on fishing here in florida, these vid's have given us a great start, thanks dude
Nice channel. Ethical fisherman (I guess the pin fish might argue). I spent my youth going out with my dad trolling for the big boys and fun as it was, I always envied the guys fishing closer to shore.
I went out today, it was the best day I’ve ever had, something about this week, must be the storms. Well good fishin bud and keep on fishin!!!
Outstanding day of Tampa Bay fishing! My PB inshore slam was in the same general area ten years ago Christmas week - 77 inches - I thought I was the king! I moved to Minnesota after that and have only been back to fish once in the ten years since. For the life of me I just cannot get into fishing in lakes and ice fishing just doesn't make sense! I totally respect your style and your respect for the resources. The snook in the live well was the best - the dolphins don't seem to need any additional help. Great stuff, dude. Hope to see you out there some time in the future.
Thank you for the detailed video showing the baits and techniques. I'm in a slump right now here at Bay Port and going to head out to the islands in the morning. I feel pretty confident tomorrow will be a good day, Thanks again.
I'm a new fan and just subscribed because you make your videos great by explaining everything you are doing to catch fish. So many tubers show catching fish but fail to explain how it was done. It's entertaining and teaching at the same time. Love it.
Dude that was the smallest and coolest cobia I think I've ever seen before. That was pretty cool...
Great day for fishing, got to get out there pretty soon, have a great weekend Brent 🐟👍
Couldn’t ask for better conditions and fishing. Solid work, brotha.
I rarely subscribe to anything, but I really enjoyed this video. I like that you keep the language clean and the atmosphere light. I could sorta feel your enjoyment of the day through your positive attitude. You explain things well and you keep it simple. Really cool man, keep on 'catching. Look forward to watching more of your stuff.
My favorite memory of fishing that area (other than fishing Clearwater beach on a Christmas day that was in the low 90's), was of my dad wade fishing off the Courtney Campbell causeway in Tampa. He was about 50 feet to my left and had a couple of .. whiting? maybe (I was 12 I don't really recall) on a 30 ft stringer tied to his belt and I remember him grunting and he immediately turned around and pulled the stringer to him and lifted it out of the water and only the heads of the fish were left and he was like "Frickin damnable sharks" at which point I noticed a few dark shapes between us, at which point I made like Jesus and RAN on water back to the shore lol.. He kept insisting they were harmless, but umm.. f that. Wish I could remember turning my head back to the sharks as I ran and saying something ultra cool like "See ya Dudes!" but I was totally not that awesome yet lol. Peace out Brother.
What a great day of fishing 👍. Super cute that you were worried about the fish and dolphins. It's the circle of life haha.
This is one of my favorite channels to watch. Keep up the good work. 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

Favorite fishing channel. Always great content keep it up man
I began fishing with pinfish “tails” cut the way a guide showed me in 1957. Actually, in those days in the Big Bend area (specifically Shell Point fish camp) they were commonly called “shiners.” I still refer to fishing with shiner tails. In the intervening years, I have finished with virtually every new fad that came along - and caught fish with them - but firmly believe that nothing outfishes “shiner tails.” of course, there are times when we need live bait and don’t bother to cut them. Especially during the 1960s when not many people knew about cobia, I was slamming them with live shiners (pinfish).
Thank you for the quick reply. Appreciate it!
Pinfish most definitely get the job done, awesome bait!! Awesome video!! Looks nice down there 👌. Pretty clean boat for all that fishing!
Great catches Bro Montana. Summer is heating the bite up. Today was stellar on redfish just north of you. Keep it up!

Haven’t had any luck at the first spot you showed in a while. The sandbar has been so packed with boats the snook have been totally spooked

I subscribed just on how respect you are to nature.
2 minutes in and I’m already
subbed. Keep up the good work!
Got to go fishing today at Holden Beach Campground and had a great time! 😁
Surprisingly enough, Dolphin are too smart to eat a hooked fish. At least I have never seen or heard of it happening. I have literally danced trout snook reds while hooked in front of a dolphin and watched them just play around the fish. By holding the fish on the boat, this is the best way to go about this. Great job in protecting the habitat. The same often happens with sharks after release.
Nice man. In NC we throw the pins back. Mullet shrimp and piggies are so easy to catch. I’ll have to try the pins out.
Great action, awesome slam
I’m from Wisconsin and don’t even fish saltwater but your vids are awesome!
That little cobia you caught was small but I would be happy if I caught because I have never caught one. great day of fishing for you.
Congrats on upgrading the slam!
Awesome, you killed it.
Hell of a video!! great job man. You gained a subscriber bud!!

Great content, thanks for making it
Great video as always👍
Told you about a month ago when you were at 10k to keep up the grind and now you at 14k+ my dawg!
Good one. I'd like to see you fish the North Point @ Honeymoon. Great snook spot. Pull boat up and wade it, that would be fun to see
Good video as always my man!
Man awesome video. Me and my sons are just starting to get into saltwater fishing. We been watching your videos and they asked me why you make it look so easy😂😂😂. We been out to Tampa Bay and have struck out 3 times in a row.
Trust me, it's usually not that easy 😂. Live shrimp or pinfish under a bobber will usually catch some fish, especially if you can find an area around mangroves/oyster bars that's holding mullet. Hope you guys can get on some fish next time you go out!
Great slam and video
Every time he releases a fish he says "See ya dude!!". My new saying every time I catch a fish.
Lol choose you're own saying. Be unique
Thats what she said
Great video man!
“See ya dude” T-shirts!!!!!
Congrats!
Well done my brother 😎 this is what I called real fishing and catching 😁🎣🐟 subbed as well
Wish I could go too! Such a good day!
Hey Dude! Just watched this video and it’s the first time I’ve seen your channel, I immediately recognized where you caught that fish! I know exactly where your at, would love to come fish with you sometime and maybe you can show me what I’m doing wrong lol, I’ve never been able to pull anything from that area. Very impressed🇺🇸👍🏼
Good idea, going to try this from kayak
I stopped losing fish on live bait when I started hooking the bait through the hard part of the nose with the point facing forward, with a circle hook. Your leader material becomes less critical when you can consistently hook toothy fish in the corner of the mouth. Like your content!
I found that nearly 100% you catch on a pin fish the larger fish will hit it head on. You can miss a lot of fish hooking through the mouth rather than below the dorsal fin.
Mullets scarse , plan B- the reliable pins. Feed em what their eating. Nice catches & hasta luego lol see ya !!
Nice boat dude!
Great fishing, nice video
Really Awesome content Sir!!!
Awesome video! Thanks man
Insane video bro!
Great job bro 👍🏾
