The thing about a popular set is. Everyone says its not worth investing in because everyones buying and pullrates etc. But 4 years down the road when this set is long gone. People will look back on it and say "damn i missed out on some great looking cards" and that will drive demand in the secondary market. This isn't a set to flip, this is a set to invest
Nice video! I’m trying to get the entire gold art set. with these prices being so low and the pop being so high would you recommend buying all in psa 10 for vstar universe or all 4 raw cards from crown zenith?
It may not be the answer you are looking for, but it is the only "real" answer, in my opinion. Go with what you like more. If all the variables were the same, e.g., price, pop, etc., which cards would you like to have more? Pick those.

Hi! Very good insight here. Do you know when the Vstar universe box was reprinted and how much of the quantity?
It had several reprints, and they were all relatively large. I don't have exact information.
We got reprint in Pokémon center (jp) right now!! They started to sell vstar universe together with 151! :3c

it's what happens when you reprint it down to the ground. it was a very popular set. this was the set that made me collect. only missing the giratina and palkia UR :/

But imo each recent extension has like ~10 expensive cards, which is VSTAR Universe case :
- Georgous gold cards (all of them)
- Pikachu that you can only obtain through god pack
- Some nice trainers/waifu cards
Talking about investment, I think those cards will still do pretty good in a near/far future.
Talking about collecting/masterset, that such a good news to get this crazy set for cheap.
I think VSTAR Universe is the most beautiful set ever released.
I’m actually in Japan for holiday and getting those AR/SAR for ~150-700¥ is such an opportunity ! You can’t get wrong buying those cards except in case of zombies apocalypse 😂

400k graded is a joke, especially with japan’s recession, Vstar universe won’t go up in price in my opinion until some time passes in the ball park of 5 years
I'd even say 10 years for significant growth; it wouldn't surprise me at all. Some 5-year-old SM booster boxes are going for about $200 in Japan right now, and those are much scarcer than VSTAR Universe. It's gonna take a lot for VSTAR Universe to get there, but it is a fantastic set that will remain popular, and you never know. I think it'll do fine, but people will need to be very patient. When this set was announced i remember telling myself this is it.
I agree with you! I love vstar universe. It’s the most of any set I own sealed. For good reason. Biggest being it’s the most beautiful set of all time. Golden alt arts and full arts exclusive to the god pack is a collector and openers dream. The fun factor in opening this set cannot be compared to any other.
What do you think?
It's a very fun set to open, for sure. The question is, how much will that matter in the future if all the best cards are super cheap? This is just some food for thought.
Recently i was looking to buy some japanese psa cards with a budget of 220 dollars. My first choice was to buy the umbreon v alt art psa 10 from eevee heroes, which i found a deal for around 210 dollars. My second choice was to buy the three paradox dogs japanese sar psa 10 sequential set: gouging fire ex sar psa 10, walking wake ex sar psa 10, and raging bolt ex sar psa 10, which I found a deal for only 190 dollars! Over the long run, which would you think would be a better investment? Due to my budget i really want to make the right choice! Love your content!
Thanks for the comment! I don't know which option will be more valuable in the future-nobody knows-but the paradox dogs will most certainly become cheaper in PSA 10. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but the set is so new that thousands more will be graded, which should bring down the price.

I am definitely picking up god pack pika from this set and gold cards. Just love them so much. I think we have hit bottom with these cards now. Might be wrong tho, but I feel now it is much more affordable than a year ago.

It’s wild how much the Japanese market has crashed from the hype. In November of last year I thought vstar universe boxes would double in 2-3 years just because it’s such a fun set to open. Now I’m thinking it’s going to take a LOT longer than that. Oh well misplaced money on my part.
Yeah, it's just gonna take some more patience. I actually think that's great. It's weeding out all the "bad apples" who are only here for short-term money. People with passion and love for the hobby will be rewarded longterm.

Hi! May I have your insight on when to let go of an investment? Let's say that you have an item that skyrocketed in price recently. How do you know if you're finally ready to sell the item?
Depends on so many different factors. What's your actual margin? Are you happy with that margin? Do you need the money right now? Do you see better opportunities for which you could use that money? What was your initial target return (if you don't know that, then you should start considering that going forward)? Do you think it can grow even more, or do you think it's about to come crashing down again? Is it the only one you have of that product? Etc... So many different factors that differ from person to person. Hard to answer without knowing a lot more.
