YES. Thank you! So many people just don't understand that it's not "just a rat," it is a living creature that relies on you to care for it. It always warms the cockles of my little black heart when people understand that even though it's "just a rat" it still deserves to be cared for and given the best life possible. I hope Latte feels better soon!
I absolutely love that you are showing love for an under appreciated animal like rats. They are so intelligent and and have big personalities. I love even more that you took the big girl that no one wanted, I would have done the same thing and it warms my heart that there are other people out there, like you who can look past exterior appearances and see that she needs just as much love as the other two. You really are a beautiful person inside and out!

I don't usually comment, but as a small animal owner and advocate, I just have to say THANK YOU for doing your research, and getting an appropriate set up for those babies!!! I don't have rats, but do have mice, a gerbil, a hedgehog, as well as reptiles and fish. Small pets are so neglected, with how much misinformation is out there. It's refreshing to see somebody with a platform taking the appropriate steps and promoting proper care. Thank you ❤❤❤

Rats with red eyes in my experience can be a bit more timid, They can’t see as well as black eyed rats and tend to be a bit more cautious when moving around. I hope all the rats are doing well ❤️🐁

I had two pet rats when I was just a few years older than Jaden and they were awesome. Some people get weirded out because they think to sewer rats but pet rats, bred in a laboratory, make really good pets. They’re smart, personable and keep themselves super clean. 💜💜 Watching Jaden in that last video melted my heart. He is so good with animals and has such a caring personality.
P.S. My birthday won’t be this weekend but next Thursday.

Hi all. I raised rats for over thirty years and became allergic severely. Gosh I miss them. Here's a few things for you. Hammock, they love them. They get cold and then sick easy. I would cover the cages with a blanket I didn't plan on reusing when it was below 73 where they were at night . I am so excited you got two more. You are an amazing rat grandma. So proud of you. Haha 😂 I have three Madagascar Hissing roaches. They can't bite and hiss sometimes when I walk by their cage. That wheel is dangerous. I saw too many die getting stuck behind them. I used the Wodent wheels. I was such a rat person that my males had free range of my house. I have a video on my channel of my siamese Angel going upstairs and playing with a rescue cat. I didn't think I could love your channel more but I do. I am so enjoying the rat content.

Rats make great pets! Years ago my husband came home with my daughter with two of them. I wasn't thrilled but by the 3rd day I fell in love. They used to roam around and became litter box trained. Lol

Pets rats?!! Omg I adore you even more now! They are the best pets EVER!! They are my besties. Pet rats are so loyal and worship the ground you walk on. I have one left. My other 2 babies had to be put to sleep this past December & May. Broke my heart. If you and Jaden ever have any questions or concerns please ask. You’re the best mama ever to buy them for him ♥️ . They are basically like puppies but extremely smart. All they want are love, attention and snacks.

Oh honey I’ve been there with the rats for the kids. We’ve had four of them at one time. My daughter LOVED them. They’re very smart! Anyway, one thing we learned was how important it is to keep their cage clean bc my daughter ended up with asthma from their urine! I guess when it dries in their bedding it becomes a fine dust that then floats in the air and gets breathed in by whoever is in the room. We didn’t even let the cage go more than a week without cleaning but it was in her room. Once they all died, she grew out of the rat phase and moved onto wanting a kitty and her asthma slowly went away. (:
