  • How To Detox Your Kidney With Baking Soda
In this video, Dr. Puru Dhawan will talk about why baking soda is beneficial for kidney patients.
Waste substances including creatinine, urea, salt, and potassium begin to build up in our bodies via the kidneys. Acid is one of these waste materials. Every cell in our body produces this acid as part of its metabolism. Since the kidneys are not functioning, the cells produce this waste material, which begins to build up in our blood. The blood's pH drops as the acid enter our bodies; the blood turns acidic as it travels to the kidneys, worsening renal damage and raising levels of creatinine and urea.
Metabolic acidosis is another name for this illness. Therefore, all renal failure patients are advised to take sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, as baking soda functions as a shield, in order to maintain this condition of metabolic acidosis.
What happens if someone with kidney failure eats baking soda?
It enters the circulation and balances the body's acid content. Therefore, it is recommended that all kidney failure patients frequently consume baking soda. The serum bicarbonate test is another test that can be used to determine how much bicarbonate is present in our bodies.

I teaspoon of baking soda per liter ? Or perhaps more? I sip such a solution whenever I wake up at night. I hope it improves my level of sleep -- I aim for 9+ hrs per night.
    Thanks for the video.

So it’s been 9 months since you made the comment. Can you tell me if you think it helps? For 12 years I’ve used baking soda and salt to brush my teeth with not sure if the baking soda is helping me at all but that’s what I’m looking at today.

@@joemc111 Baking soda is a base which neutralises uric acid. It can
be helpful. However, it is also helpful to take a little vitamin B1 every
day for a couple of weeks. It is complicated to explain but Dr Berg makes
an excellent comment. A google search will give you the video.
Best of luck. I think vitamin B1 ( maybe with B12) will be of help..
