Dollar Tree has canvas flats up to 11"x14" for $1.25/ea. Used them for practice and little kids. Thanks for all your tips Casey! Gettin' old & decrepit - needed a new hobby.

@@myblueeyes4863 I use WalMart for paint. It's cheapest @ $2.50/can for black or white, $5/can for colors. My startup cost inc canvas & heavyweight paper abt $100.

Quick question when you put apply the dishsoap do you put it on when the colored paint is dry or when it is just put on and when the paint is wet?
He did say to let it dry after the colored paint.
Hey brother. I have just acouple questions:
Does this work with any of the the textured, fluorescent, metallic, or chalkboard paints? Makes ya wonder if they hold up well against dawn and water.
Also- does it matter the liquid soap? Could any de-greaser or even laundry soap work just as well?
I think doing acouple videos experimenting might be beneficial man.
That Orange shop-hand paste soap used in a pattern with a spatula or even a hand painted decorative style would be fantastic!

It will work with ANY PAINT that will DRY.

Now what about the soaps? Will any dish soap work you think? Or does it specifically have to be Dawn?
@@davida.7967 Anything that will wash off easily with the water but won't let the pain soak through should work. If you really want to know, I'd say test with small pieces. But any dish soap should work. Other types may be less convenient but theoretically should also work. I know for miniatures and models people fleck salt or sand onto the model, then paint. Use a small brush to knock the particles off and reveal the paint underneath. Usually used to make it look like small spots of rust on a car or tank model.
