- Queen Anne's Revenge was a British frigate built in 1710. Originally a slave ship named Concord, she was captured by Captain Benjamin Hornigold in 1717 near Martinique. Soon after, Hornigold turned her over to his associate Edward Thatch, whose captaincy ensured the Revenge became one of the most infamous and well-known pirate ships in history.

@Ruby big ship would have a whole lot more power than jackdaw with the same elite upgrades so what is your point? None if the ships you fight have elite upgrades except la dama negra with elite armor maybe.
Man o war with elite upgrades would destory jackdaw in seconds.

@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 I'm comfortable with a frigate / galleon like the Queen Anne's Revenge or the Black Pearl (mostly the Black Pearl) I don't think I want a Man O'War the game would be instantly boring easy to handle but boring a frigate/Galleon would actually keep it fun and challenging for me.
I hope ubisoft give us man o war not a medium sized ship like frigate

When I did this my Jackdaw was weak as hell so taking on that Man of War with the QAR and destroying it in seconds was sooooo satisfying.

I think you should've been able to have 3 different ships personally, jackdaw which was a small glass cannon, queen annes revenge which is a middle ground with also insane damage, and get the sage's ship back and have a slow tank with also good damage, so you could pick a demon man o war, the queen annes revenge for the middle, and the jackdaw for more speed

It was a French Galleon that’s original purpose was being a slave ship. You can tell it’s a Galleon by the odd looking deck that looks like a banana.
A gunboat the size of a schooner, a schooner the size of a brig, a brig the size of a frigate, a frigate the size of a galleon, a galleon the size of a man o' war, a man o' war the size of a legendary ship.

I still feel like once you defeat a legendary ship, you board it and take the ship as your own and can swap between the “legendary” jack daw and the real legendary ships like the HMS fearless or le dama negra and the other 3 (el impoluto, royal sovereign and the HMS prince) that would give players the incentive to grind out the jackdaw to be able to wield the power of the legends of the sea. I don’t think giving the players the queen annes revenge is justifiable because after Blackbeard dies they destroyed his ship (in this game, in real life he tried doing this thing where you for a little bit have your ship, ship wreck so you can clean the bottom then the tide would come back in and you could sail away but he drove it to close to shore and lost the QAR)

It’s funny how time changes things when I first played this mission in 2014 I loved it since I got to sail a big ass ship now I hated it because I couldn’t use my upgraded Jackdaw which was much better and faster lol

The game was best played around half upgraded. ( Can destroy a single man on war but hard ) So that this QAR will seem more powerful. Its broadside problem is that it fires thrice making it hard to land all of them. But apart from not having a mortar and a ram, its a mix of medium speed with medium maneuverity and high fire power.
Aye, defo. Anyways, you can do a glitch that nets you 2k and some pretty good cargo each time and it takes like 5 mins to do each time if your ship has not been upgraded yet :)

Jackdaw is not a brig, it's a razee, which is different.
Razee's were basically frigates but with 1 "floor" instead of 2.

If you don't upgrade the jackdaw you'll see that the Queen Anne's Revenge is actually a better ship in comparison and after using her honestly you're going to be motivated to upgrade your ship doesn't get bigger by size but it gets a lot more Firepower and resistance to equals of a frigate or even to man-of-war combined
Conclusion you weren't supposed to upgrade your ship story-wise

In real life the queen anns revenge lasted 1 battle i think before it was sailed on land by black beard and in real life it is scaled that it would take 2 pirate frigates to defeat 3 english/spanish schooners because pirates were just drunken idiots that had no clue what they were doing
