You know the greek sauce, tzatziki? It's the same sound. I can't think of an English word with the same sound, but it's frequent in Italian, Russian, Greek...

The food poisoning scene is one of my favourites in the entire show. Chris failing to use the phone, Ron waddling over, choosing to whack it off the table, having Ben dial Tom’s extension with HIS FACE ALL SMOOSHED. It’s so unreasonably funny.
The delivery of "The calzones.. betrayed me?!" is one of the best in the series, too, imo

The accounting firm is Ben’s perfect world. Everyone loves him, they eat calzones, his jokes are always a hit, he’s incredibly successful with them. Him always quitting is the best running joke

Bring up Aztecs and tomatoes doesn’t make it an empanada. We don’t know the filling and in all likelihood it was italian or American-Italian fillings. Empanadas, calzone, meat pie, they’re all similar and likely share a similar history, originating from wheat rich regions. Likely somewhere in Europe.

Well, when the local library is run by a succubus too perverted for hell, the negative bias seems reasonable.
Calzones are just inferior pizzas. No browning of the cheese, excessive crust and unsure how hot the fillings are.

I´ve never understood why everybody hated calzone in the show. In most south american countries Empanadas are one of the most common street food and are basically just like a calzone. Besides Ben calzone looks really good!

I love how on the whiteboard, for the calzone, Ron says that it has bad meat. Such a small detail but just subtly reinforces the fact that Ron meat so much better than everyone else.
If you go back you'll also notice that Chris hated the veggies and Tom hated the presentation.
The meat expert hated the meat, the veggie expert hated the veggies and the presentation expert hated the presentation. Ben really should have seen the red flags.

Calzones are objectively superior to pizza because they are contained, which means you can have a higher toppings:crust ratio. If you put too many toppings on a pizza the whole thing collapses, but this is not an issue with calzones!

I've finally paused at 2:56 and noticed that even if Chris was focused only on the veggies, he was the only one to really give any good feedback. You can see he liked the second the best, then the first because it was 'ok' but the third was terrible. And really, vegetables are something that expire quickly so a place should be able to get good ones for a presentation like this. Meanwhile Ben just kinda liked everything and Ron only gave 'no' or 'bad/good meat'
