- Hey everyone. Thought I'd do something different before my collection videos. I am going to pick my favorite(s) score from the Star Wars soundtracks (I-VI, The Clone Wars if I can). Enjoy the Star Wars music! Score: Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi- Victory Celebration.

Not exactly, Disney gets the hate sometimes it doesn’t deserve
@@elite4702 it is the true end, because the only canons are the stories written by George Lucas, the creator of star wars.
Jon Don Not exactly true here, it isn’t the canonical end, and Palpatine’s true death in Episode IX is the canonical end of the wars.
People can defend the Yub Nub song all they want, but for me this emotional piece is flawless for the ending to this trilogy.
Not to trilogy, but to whole franchize of 6 movies. Fuck disney
@@biggore8338 dont get me wrong, the OGs will always be my favorite, specifically TESB, but i feel the sequels had some good redeeming moments. Had they been done properly, i would have sobbed harder in theaters when i saw TROS. The one part that truly destroyed me was watching Leia die, and Chewie's distraught. I already get emotional thinking about Carrie, or even seeing her face, but the scene was truly the end of an era to me. This theme is one of my favorites in the many John Williams has done for the franchise, and it always will be.
This song remembers me of my crush GF😍😍
It was my first version I watched and I like it more so yeah
Bartholomew Thundercat III for real
A perfect ending for a story. The tyrannical empire is defeated. Anakin is redeemed. The Jedi order lives on in the skywalkers. The rebels have won
Perfectly put
That’s how Star Wars ended. *The Mandalorian,* *the Book of Boba Fett,* and *Ahsoka* were the only ones that came out… nothing else after those two. Except the other spinoffs, but some of those were before *The Return of the Jedi.*
@lolseagull Oh I forgot he came back in that one. Did it at least explain how he got revived?
@@Mr.Needle-Hamster IIRC, Palpatine cloned himself, and using some kind of dark side power, he could transfer his soul into these clones.
@@aspaas04 well it's better than somehow palpatine returned, it would be cool to see that as like a short series

That moment when you see Anakin's force ghost looking at luke, not dressed with dark sith clothes, with flaming hateful eyes.. but as a jedi, proud of his son, the savior of the galaxy
Luke is what he could have been if he wasn't seduced by the dark side, his son did not take his similar path and is proud for that reason.

I don't understand how people love the original song over this one. This song feels more hopeful, more climactic and celebratory than Yub Nub.
This is definitely a better way to end it then yub nub, but yub nub was the original.
It was the originality of Yub Nub that everyone was used to. I don't dislike this version. I just grew up with the other version first.

as someone who grew up with both versions of the OT I can say that this music gets me hyped and emotional everytime, imo it’s the best change they could’ve made

@@gamergirl2236The original WAS horrible imo
Agreed, although subjectively I prefer the '97 edit of this scene to the '04/'11. Love the longer, lingering shots of Luke & the force ghosts. Ever notice Leia never sees them? The shots are so quick in the '04 you can't tell. But it was an important, subtle detail in the original & first SE.

Also when Darth Vader says "No... NOOOOOO!!!" when he's about to save his son from being killed by the Emperor.
@@Daniel.J.RinanderI seriously don’t understand why people hate the change, same with the removal of Vader’s eyebrows, the “NO” scream adds more weight and a bit of a “punch” to the already great scene, and the removal of Vader’s eyebrows really help illustrate how under the mask lies a frail, tragic, broken man underneath.
This is the only change that I hated.
Whenever I feel a lose of enjoyment in Star Wars, I come back to this video. It reminds me that no matter what is in store for Star Wars and what Disney plans for it, it can never hurt how much this scene meant to me as a kid, a man who restored good in his father finally being able to celebrate as his victory has been achieved; the Chosen One has fulfilled the prophecy and balance has been restored. The Return Of The Jedi not The Force Awakens
I think it's interesting, when looking at the Star Wars soundtracks as a whole, William's rarely uses vocals in the tracks. Duel of fates and the emperor throne room scenes are the main ones. The song at the end of phantom menace is a heightened version of the throne room scene to underscore how this is the start of Palpatine's victory. All uses of choirs come in climactic moments, typically with a shroud of evil around them. Ending with this song is a far departure, like their very victory over the dark side changes how music represents the world and the galaxy can sing outwardly again
That, my friend, is one excellent take
@@vanadium8865 thank you dude, I appreciate that- I did some extra digging and found that nearly every use of vocals throughout all three trilogies underscores moments of intense drama or specifically alluding to the deeper conspiracy of the dark side at work

One of my favorite Star Wars tracks. It's the perfect song to end the movie series.
Literally the only change from the special edition that I like.
+Chrome Trooper There are lots of minor changes that are fine, like additional shots of sand-crawler or space ships, but the song Victory Celebration is a fantastic improvement over Yub Nub.
+Chrome Trooper I don't mind most of them, but Darth Vader screaming NOOOOOO at the Emperor prevents me from switching to Bluray.
The Sixth Doctor Especially the Hayden Christensen Force Ghost. Absolutely offensive.
Nineteen1900Hundred
Yeah. But at least Sebastian Shaw is still under the helmet. The NOOO just completely butchers the scene. Like the Emperor's scream did when it was added to Luke's fall into the shaft.
The Sixth Doctor Oh absolutely. I recently watched the Despecialized Editions. I personally remember Vader's silence way back in the 1997 cut. And I must admit, the fact that he's silent, makes the scene SO MUCH MORE powerful. So much more mythic, epic and grand.
With episode 7 and onward being done by Disney, I still consider Episode 6 to still be the end of a series, the end of Anakin's story. The prequels were about his rise and tragic fall and specifically this movie alone, The Return of the Jedi, was about his final redemption. Star Wars may go on indefinitely, but Anakin can finally be at peace.
Wow and I thought I was the only one who thought that. The new trilogy 7, 8 and probably 9 are okay movies and even though the prequels were a bit odd, they were still connected well with the original trilogy and Anakin. The connection between the new sequel with the prequels/original trilogy just isn't there, also because of the completely different story, too many new characters and planets etc.
Yep. The sequels to me are about as Star Wars as the fem Ghostbusters is Ghostbusters
Perfect song for the end of anything. Joyful with a hint of sadness.

My brother now is a grown up man who have a job and wife, and every time i listen to this music, it reminds me of this little girl and her old brother watching star wars together.
I love you, brother, i hope you are alright and may the force be always with you.
Played this when Cody finally finished the story 🎉 4/07/24🥳🎊
👍
That's why I'm here
YEAH!!!
Oh man now I'm just imagining a force ghost dusty Rhodes at wrestle Mania
I want this to play at my funeral :)
+RascalRhyan521 I understand the feeling! Strangely, I used to have an identical wish.
***** No, I meant because the song is beautiful. I'm no talking about the scene.
+spideyfan2002 :D It is a theme of victory, and the music seems to be celebrating the triumph of life over death, of love overcoming hate and tyranny, and of light invading the darkness. The slaves are set free, the Empire has breathed its last, and a new era is born.:)
Andrea S. Exactly! :)
***** Lol sorry man XD
I have to say This tune with the celebrations across the galaxy overwriting yub-nub was a GOOD change by Lucas.. It feels joyful and sad at the same time..
+Pappy55 If we could just have a custom edition of the Star Wars trilogy with the edits that make sense while still being what we remembered as the original cinema classic, I'd be so happy. I'm talking this song, Biggs and Luke before the first Death Star battle, covering up the Wampa glove and possibly the Sarlac mouth.
+XenoKaiju There are various versions of the Saga that use edits made by fans on the net. :-) You just have to search, but be warned, there are a LOT of them.
I totally agree with you. It's time to celebrate but my tears of happiness are also of sadness T__T Star Wars is a story capable of mixing our emotions so badly... Love it :)
this is doubly sad now because it plays during the last time we ever see luke, han, and leia together ever again ;(
R.I.P. , Lord Vader.
Still thinking about you Mom & Dad. Much love….I’ll see you again, one day.
Don't let this sound die
Is so peacefull, one victory in big endless war
Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin will be honored forever.
And every other Jedi as well.
Thank you
Thanks
@@bro-be3bd your powers are weak old man
Rest in Peace Leia
There is no death there is only the force
I haven't watched Rogue One and you spoilt it!
he means the death of leias actress Carrie Fisher... it wasnt a spoiler. May the force be with you Carrie
:(
Rouge One is Star Wars 3.5, it places before A New Hope, impossible for Leia to die in Rouge One.
This is a perfect new year song
Watching ROTJ in the theatres and listening to this theme got me quite emotional
This is the true ending of Star Wars
Such an amazing piece. So nostalgic, and filled with the spirit of redemption.
+JJay Berthume nostalgia? this is the bastard revamp non-original.
The music contains the spirit of nostalgia, because it causes one to think of all that it took to get here, and all of the characters.
+OsyenVyeter It's SOOOOO much better than the original song.
+OsyenVyeter Yub nub was more celebratory and joyous. But this was still good.
+OsyenVyeter original isnt always better i think the "new" song and the young anakin are PERFECT fit for the end.
