if you buy maze and gordias gears in the PvP and Challenge shop, completely easy to get, you will pretty much get your hands on the end-game gear. So I wouldn't recommend spending money for any other gears if it's not maze or the Gordias set. most of your real spending should really go towards rerolling gear (using gold binary) into CDR or attack speed (usable on a few characters but it's still better than ATK/ATK sets) on mostly maze sets. You would usually reroll Gordias pieces and maze armor for either HP or evasion set - defense is worst than HP for most characters in general unless you're putting this on A.hilde who has the biggest def stat in the game. If you know all of this, you should be able to beat 95% of all end-game content after you 100 all of your characters, and skill up the ship and everyone.

You may haven’t play it since it first released. At that time, there’s litterally NO skip thingy, all we could do was selecting the multiple run option and let it be overnight. That was an era of nightmare ngl

This game is amazing tbh. Main story is one of the best in mobile genre imo(with bunch twists, tragedy and betrayals). Soundtracks are amazing. Dailies are also quite fast to do because of battle skip feature. Character designs(both ingame and l2d) are my favorite so far.
Only downside is it may feel overwhelming with bunch of currencies and shops.

-Some clarifications for the people who want to play this game, you can limt break pass the star cap every limit break pass give you 2 more levels up to lvl 110.
the 4th locked gear slot is unlocked at max star limit break which is another accesories used for 4 piece sets
-Side story is just areas you can farm character fragments to later down the line unlock them
-Ranked Matches are similar to strategy accept you most likely wont win a game if you auto because the unit placement order is random so you have to do it manually also you can ban units which makes them cost more.
-The best gear in the game you can get free early on, its called maze and gordias gear which you obtain through pvp currency and challenge mode
-Also this game has a SEA client that is way further ahead so a couple things that where nit picked will be added later which is dope i just hope they update global faster
-Note there is only 1 mega server for global so its not all split to 999 servers that make the game feel dead

I see you too have experienced the bottomless pit of content! Seriously though, there are so few CZcams channels covering this game it's tragic. I too have a hard time finding an "END" to this game but, my body falls apart before the game does. I think the "Friendly" combat system is bugged because I am experiencing not being able to enter them as well. Maybe it's my bluestax emulator but, I am unable to access gauntlets as it crashes my emulator. Besides that only gripe, I am just enthralled at the game and can't wait to help continue to help expose it more!

I think someone recommended to me to use a 32bit and not 64. But thats different emulator. So idk about bluestax but maybe u can try that
Emulator right know doesn't work well because of a Unity update. To make it short, Unity change how it compiles files and it's not compatible with the actual state of the game (that's why we all have problems with PvP and raid stuck at the loading screen).
It will probably be fix in the incoming weeks but in August, the pc version will be release on steam, problem solved.

Counter:Side is a good game, i've play this game for 2 months when they open their server at SEA, so much thing to do for daily grinding, a lot of waifu and husbando, the only problem is, i hate PVP in Gacha Game, no matter what they do to make it "fair" it still p2w, i prefer gacha game without pvp,
This is my opinion tho
SEA release and global release aren't the same, they took out the chess ship mechanic, added qol function like skip button etc, also pvp in this game is about as fair as it can get in a gacha game, dupes don't add power to units, early-midgame gear adds little to power. Aside from them being able to build more units because of more resources, Whales have minimal advantage over you in pvp. Also the matching system will try its best to match you with the same company level and rank as you, so you wont even be able to fight against the whales. Also pvp has weekly bans that are voted by the community, so even if a broken unit gets released, high chance is it gets banned every week, thats what happened with a.hilde, gaeun, etc. Right now.
It's not chibi! Full size models is so huge, one of the best things gacha games can offer to you. Also you can see your characters on screen in action all the time. And so skins are really big in this one. Rates are not bad at all. I 1,2,3,4 pulled so many times. Eventually you will have them all, casually. As for ssr ships, you need to do dives and it's gonna take a while. Danger close will be the first time when auto will straight fail, so learning how to manual is going to be a thing later on.
I played this game for a while back when it launch at SEA, it was really fun. But one of the things I was surprised of the most is the lifetime contract feature, it's actually very unique and I have encountered almost no gacha game having the same thing.

Lifetime contract is quite the same optional max bond feature from plenty of other gachas.

Fun fact: This is a rare Gacha where Gender bent Husbando can canonly exist as there is multiversal travel possible in their universe. Examples are Kyle Wong/Karin Wong, Joo Shiyoon/Joo Shiyoung, And whatever Na Yubin is when he became a woman.

grand cross started out great, despite being netmarble. then it spiraled into power creep. thats what i remember at least, i havent played in 2 years.

Yeah I have around 67% of the roster and it's mostly units I wanted. I'm so lucky with this game I buy packs out of gratitude. I know that sounds unhealthy but I actually feel bad if I don't spend some money for a game I am enjoying as much. I hope they get an anime series going and the anime becomes a hit. I need to see maze division's blizzard of steel animated.
I really love this game. It allows you to use all-out gunjacks or slayers, while defender is TANK/MECH (???), which is awesome. And there's also some weird but funny SALARY NEGOTIATIONS, where you can talk to your employees, which is kinda strange but interesting! I actually laughed a lot when we had dialogue with a tank/helicopter. Soldiers are actually feel like usual people, while counters are way too selfish, or using phrases that recognize you just an employer, not a brother in arms.
And there's a good strategy to use all militaries, it's like an entirely another game! I know it's not effective at all, but very funny to use!
Overall, this game is good.
I just got the game today and got so many ssr's, like 12-13 and dupes too lol. I'm loving it so far because I'm a type of person drawn to story, and I love this one lol

I have played worst gachas , with p2w summon system and no content at all , this is way better
At first I got really bad impression of it cuz the shop is really confusing. There's so many shops with many different currencies used in the game it's pretty overwhelming. I can't even tell what's good in the launch pack deals and there's so many of them too. So I just went on with the game not really expecting to stick around but the story quickly got me hooked up and later the rta is kinda fun so rn I promoted it to my third main games and spent money in it. I think I'm going to skip Artery Gear entirely because I don't think I'll have any spare time after focusing to min max Counterside. Besides, I'm kinda burned out with these pokemon style of battles in games.
Couple things to clarify the find opponent in pvp only works when someone is sitting at main menu so all other times it will reject the request automatically if you are serious with direct pvp got to get into ranked or play with a friend that you can talk to not through the game. Fair warning though it matches you based on rank level and nothing else first day I went in with my level 70 everything team and ran into a team with a level 110 character and 7 other level 100's and got absolutely trashed so honestly unless every character is level 90 max skill level you might be fighting losing battles almost always. Also you can get a free SR ship by setting up 2 branches in the world map recommended getting the glepnir as it's good for all types while the other one the abraham is only good for mechs. Lastly always check the exchange center in the shop list via the bottom left that area you can basically got a lot of materials you need via gold or other currency obtained from some of the other content like dives, challenge mode, raids, etc it's a god send for free to play players.

Number of pulls till Pity doesn't actually matter. What matters is the pull income per week compared to pity when comparing. If one game has a 150 pity and gives 50 pulls a week, and another has a 30 pity and gives 10 pulls a week then they're essentially the same ya know. The higher pity is actually better in that case since it gives you more chances at a SR.
Have been playing it since it first released in SEA, still one of my favourite trio (including GI, HI and C:S). Thank you so much for reviewing this game!
FYI the side stories give you a lot of context as far as the main story goes. Also you unlock nodes for farming for characters from them as well.
The issue I've had is that I can't even play. The game has so many bugs, and I just happen to be a victim of the worst one. I've tried since the release date to play, but I encounter a black screen once I pass the login. My device is a Motorola Edge 5G, so it isn't the issue.
I won't judge the game itself, but it's disheartening to not even be able to play.
I quite this game after doing 2x 10 rolls and only getting one purple out of it. It looks nice but if it gives me the same roll chances as Dislyte then it's a instant turn off.

For the Ranked PVP, it was locked behind winning 4 Strategy Battles (more if you lose)
Friendly PVP is just that, friendly with nothing to win or lose.
As for the pity system, it's actually not that bad. The game gives pulls out readily early on, and as your account gets older and the freebies start to dwindle you get more sources that, while random, can end up increasing your pull stockpile considerably over time. If you're picky about who you pull for, it's very easy to guarantee the units you want. Excluding Awakeneds, unless you get lucky on those the pity system is pain.
Counterside's Main Character lore say the Main Character is so powerful but in game the Main Character is a Potato.

Yea there is. 160 free pulls and more by codes and mail. There is also free 5 pulls everyday for a total of 50 pulls if you finish chapter 1
I tried out Counterside when it was fresh and it was ROUGH. Bugs, Server issues during PvP, Balance issues as well as Abyssmal gacha rates and don't get me started on the various controversies...But, when I came back for the game's 2nd Anniversary, I was pleasantly surprised on how much the game improved in terms of QoL and changes to the gacha. While it still have its problems, it is going very strong. The game isn't my cup of tea (I am more into Destiny Child, PROJECT NIKKE WHEN!?) but hey to each their own.
just to correct you. you dont need to do "friendly battles" to get the "100 Strategy Battle Points" to be able to play "Ranked". you just need enough wins in the normal "strategy battle".
As a f2p I've now hit that f2p ,curve. I've played for 5 days so far and I'm already lvl 28. I've been farming the event for the currency that allows you to choose an SSR of your choice. I do want rosaria Le friede as I love her beach skin and the way she stick her tongue out slightly. If I get her I will be happy but I'm also debating whether or not to get na yubin. Rosaria has insane crit tho which means her damage will be nuts. As soon as the event is over and if I don't get her I will probably stop playing as this games gacha system for f2p isn't great. My go to gacha game of sorts is probably WARFRAME as I was a veteran back in the day with an op Mr 25 account.
The only thing this game doesnt have that I really want to see is a global chat system and the ability to name your squads
SHEESH bro I was TERRIFIED by the title hahaha. I've been loving Counterside so was worried it wouldn't have longevity. I just hit lvl50 the other day and have enjoyed the game a lot!
Don't worry about building ships, building some facilities on the world map and Levelling up your units.
just be patient and take it slowly. step by step and you'll get there.
That bad pity system is kind of a red flag for me.
I love Counterside. Sadly had to drop the game not because its bad, its very good but I just have no time. If ever I do make more time its definitely a game I am going back to
The first day I played this game, I nearly uninstalled it because the units didn't look cool to me for some reason. Then I got Machine Collecter and said "maybe I'll stick around to see what comes next."
Got Lee Yuri last week, which sold me on staying with the game because I got massive "The Division" vibes from her. Yes, I'm a fan of the first Division game, but I hated the second game

It's made me PAID MORE THAN GENSHIN because Game Contents look to be CONSOLE more than MOBILE GAME.
I love this game. Gameplay is pretty nice but what catched me mostly is the story. I literally have never met that awesome plot in any mobile game. Also soundtracks are masterpieces (especially replacer knight and orca soundtracks)
The story, is good for a mobile game, but nothing new, i mean is not new, or outside ordinare in anime, but plus to atempt the level in mobile, personaly,is a nice story but rigth now i am not in the mood for it
Among my favourite mobile games which are also gacha with good story, I suggest Honkai Impact. The story is amazing, it will make you cry.

@@Krysnha hoyoverse is quite good despite being Chinese. The Chinese government occasionally makes it a point to target their company specifically because they tend to skirt around the new regulations in favour of making the game more enjoyable. That said, I suggest you wait until the new update 5.8 (which should have come out June 30, if I remember correctly) because in this patch they reworked the first 5-6 chapters of the game to make them better overall.

This game is absolute bullcrap. Everyone who plays has a copy of A. HILDA. because they cheated the game meanwhile, people like me who want to casually enjoy the game het shafted by everyone who has her. I follow the summon suggestions and get nothing. I do missions on a daily and I get no rewards. These games are only fun to people who have too much money...cough to the east cough cough
Loved the game the characters and the story were great just had to quit since game keeps crashing on my phone
the game isnt so bad as f2p just demanding, the standard banners are a bit of a pain...., but thankfully the awakened banner pity carry over so you can wait for reroll if you dont find someone else worth pulling for, but yea quite demanding though it takes up a significant portion of your time especially when u have to jiggle around equipment but thats probably just me. Otherwise it was a good game, played PvP, sadly i fell behind due to bad pulls and refusal to $$$, but doesnt mean my characters were completely useless you can still run older characters despite facing off new ones, just have to be good at how your using them.
Most these games are money pits. I think I'm going to stay away from gacha games from now on

I pretty much have almost every character in Counterside without spending anything, luckily there are guides to know which unit to use in the meta, the event is still the best place to farm coins for me, and I already getting close to obtaining the SSR ships since I was farming all day in dives, and most characters are banned in ranked, and no I haven't bought gear I farmed tier 6 gear, so it didn't bother me.
Wow so nice, I still haven't get any notable Snipers and was thinking to just use which one I have lol
@@AzariusR hence why I said their are guides including team composition, but what I have heard from veterans you might want to get more ships and slots because later on, you would have to use multiple ships.
@@LimitPro1 I did watch plenty of guide vids and I am doing fine despite having no A. Hilde. Because I did managed to get Yang and Kyle, and the rest are just good SR units that can still defeat full SSR teams somehow. But the Sniper variety of units is just not much in Global at the moment.

You get the points for ranked battle through strategy battle, not friendly battle. Friendly battle is just fighting with your friends, you don’t get anything from it(Atleast, I don’t think you get anything from it. Never tried it out)
Hopefully this game lasts more than 2 years. I doubt it though. I do have the char in countersides title screen and i am using the JPN client on bluestacks.
i wont ever drop money gacha i dont pay for pngs animated or not but these gacha seem to similar. ive seen the same room builders 10+ times before...
I played this game on release on SEA server and quit when A NA YU FUCKING BIN literally dominated pvp. If you didn't have him, it's literally impossible to have fun in pvp. Yeah, I remember looking forward to the story but I quit, so no story for me. I also remember this being one of the most generous gacha game ever, until at one point I saw in KR server that they started nerfing the rates, which was all the more reason to quit.
Currwntly on global server, Yubin has been power creeped. he's still used and is a good unit but by no means meta anymore. Most awakened frontline defenders can be killed too fast to justify their high cost. Evolved-1 still a monster tho

Guess you missed the fact that ranked PvP unlocks after you get 100 STRATEGY points. Play the Strategy Battle mode until you win enough points.

Personaly, i like the game at the begigning, but as i play, well, i dont know the story is already bothering me the tipical, story so big and that, i like the part the good girl, think a girl die and the girl was alive and even attend her own funeral, but i already not like when the game trys to be too deep, in another time maybe i like it, but rigth now, like in the artery gear i am here for the waifus, and not a fun of husbandous sorry years ago i was not so pervert, but rigth now, i am well a bit too depress, to care..
As for the gameplay i like at the beggining a unique tower defense, like the idea, and i think was smart the idea, you cant just pill up the characters, need to think the team and i love the idea and having fun, but well, first the combat, as i progress devolver into just throw more or less everihting to the same time even when i try to use the units i need to counter, it devolver and the screen was such a thing it looks likke one of these new movies, where you dotn know what is happening.
I love the artstile and the gamplay nice ideas, but when artery fusion came and i find solidious i just diding care about counterside

My only problem is with the waifus/husbandos , the characters fell so generic and unnapelative ( in looks atleast 'cause THOSE VFX!) and as someone mostly focused on action games i don't think that's the game for me , i played Destiny Child before for a loong time and believe me , when you have too much time left those types of games tend to become more and more frustating as you try to follow the meta or rise on the leaderboards
Agree,i mean the characters in counterside, looks generic, and was one of the reason i kind of not careing and that the scream literaly looks weird when so many things at the time happening

Most gacha games can inherently be carried by their art (if the publishing company isn't Crunchy or Bilibili). The only real bad thing about Counterside is I can't personally connect with half of the units seeing as though they had some random Korean name slapped onto them.

Challenge mode is only meant for MAXed units. You ain't getting stuff with under leveled 70-ish and 50 ship. Plus the events and stuff they give you is way better than any other Games that offer. P.S. Don't DIS about PvP cause what I saw on your vid is you going for friendly. Just get that 100 (Obviously you already made it.) Strategic pts and you can now play PvP manually.
