As a woman, Ras is actually one of the few MCs I don’t cringe to tbh. The dude actually has a plot line for himself, and a valid reason for not fully understanding human emotion. His “lack of emotion” isn’t from the devs trying to make him a self-insert, it’s acknowledged in the game as one of his flaws and (minor spoiler) one of the reasons everything went to shit in the first place. It was even explored in later chapters.
I find the pacing of the story is weird sometimes bc it’s not a fully animated game and relies mainly on jpeg and texts, but the general plot is one of the better ones in gacha games imo. And iirc, only like two female characters (and one male) simp for him, other major female characters all have their own plot lines and relationships. The writing for female characters is pretty good for a waifu gacha game, or at least better than some of the other gachas I play like Genshin or FEH.
The gearing system, PVP balancing, and frequent release of hard counter characters though… gosh, those could be improved for sure.

With Vildred betraying him because he thought that Ras is just repeating the Cycle of Ilyros and her followers destroying the entire world and not understanding humans at all, while at the same time an all around veneration from the Kingdom itself that is close to worshipping Diche.
Ras is a good boy, I hated him so much but he developed so well with the straze story

E7 is the only gacha game I started and still (more or less) consistently play. The artstyle, combined with English VAs and my nostalgia rooted fondness of turn based combat systems are what caught and kept my attention.

Same, I played it for a year until the second world story released. I really like a lot of aspect about the game, but the only thing kinda annoys me is the gear system, there's so much RNG involved just like Genshin artifact system, but the good side is at least the give a lot of content/event that give fixed gear with fixed stats which is nice

I'm a veteran player and I agree that it's a massive time sink. I love this game but it consumes my time for other games just with gear crafting and enhancement, and yes the so called "RNG" favors horrible rolls most of the time.

I played this game since it was launched, got lucky with the gacha pulls and got like 15 moonlight characters as a complete f2p over the course of 2-3 years of playing. But do you know why I still quit the game? The gear grinding in this game was a complete torture. I spent 2-3 years playing the game but I only have 2 pieces of equipment over 20 speed while other players have a complete set of gears with 20+ speed on multiple characters... Like, the pain of dealing with minimum roll, the pain of even getting gear with a good substats to begin with. The layer of RNG on top of RNG of getting the right set, the right sub, the right main stat, and a good high roll is all over the place that I just quit the game entirely. And ofc, if I can't get good gears then having 16+ ml units is just pointless lol. I ranted there soz.
Wish more gachas looked like this. So many have great 2D artwork, but go with low res 3D models or chibi designs for the actual gameplay.

As a long time player, E7 gives away so many skystones (premium currency) that being a f2p is completely viable. it's why the rates are manageable and eventually you will reach a point where you can get every new rgb on release due to the large amount of skystones you can rack up. However, it's clear you didn't witness World Arena which makes sense since that's the end game for E7. It's the reason I still play the game and one of the biggest reason this game is alive. Also, keep in mind this game is 4+ years old and the developers I would say care about the lifespan of the game enough to add new things to it. So of course it's a time sink, this is meant to be a main gacha game not a side one. Lastly, the rates themselves are not the problem, players don't particularly complain about the rates, they complain about the gear rng which is atrocious. Fuck the gear rng.

Same here! I'm an old e7 player! Unfortunately there has not been any turn based gatcha that hits the level of e7! Gearing all the heroes properly is very grindy.
They do not give you enough skystones to keep up as a f2p for the amount of limited banners they pop up with
Especially when you get the gold flash + text... but it's for an artifact
The rates are the problem especially since you have artifacts in the same pool with no pity

It's an OK game, nothing they did is much better than other gacha tbh. And their marketing of the game fucking sucks ball, hence not many new people is joining on the comparatively.

@@ymw1107 I think it does some things better. It has some of the best 2D animations I've seen, and the character design is excellent. It also has pretty great complexity for a turn-based game with very few skills per unit, and the team building potential is good. I wouldn't say it's my preferred game, but it's one of the most solid and relevant around.

the amount of RnG in this game is far too much, arguably higher than casino
The ai focuses on using skills on enemies of weaker or neutral element that's why you would have your team not focus them. Depending on the character it might not since they might have ignore elemental disadvantage or target due to combat readiness (turn order) among other things. So while the ai isn't great it is still much better than others I have seen.
I'm a F2P player and have almost all the RGB characters. It's definitely possible for F2P players to collect characters in Epic 7. Almost every collab event has a 7 day login event where they gift you a 5 star. Sorry Stix but you have no idea what you're talking about.
Doesnt take away from the fact that its a complete chore and waste of time because ultimately all ur gears will roll garbage 😂

These guys don't know what they're talking about. The game constantly gives you free and op gear. Pvp shop has some of the best in slot gear even with stat rng...they always give high stat rolls.
I have been playing E7 consistently since its global release and is my favorite gacha game with according to my playtime 1165 hours. I just wanted to point out your wrong about the PVP. There is automated pvp but there is also realtime pvp against "live" players. Which is one of the reasons why it us so popular and streamed so much.
yeah enjoy live pvp in the current meta lol . the entire stupid game evolvs arround like 10 characters while hundred others are benched .

E7 is definitely the most overly designed dice rolling simulator i've played. The art/animation team carries the game because without them everyone would have left years ago.

I've been playing for like a two years now and I absolutely love it, it's the only gacha game I've constantly played, the voice acting, art, and gameplay to me are great, and I love the story. The summons seems really bad, but honestly it really isn't, I'm a f2p player and I have plenty of 5*, even some 3* and 4* are good!
Edit: The animations and music is also really good!
The gacha rates are lower but I do like that if I pull a 5* hero on the rate up banner, it's 100% that hero. No 50/50 quarter flip like other games. Same thing with reaching pity, guaranteed to be the hero your pulling for.
If you save your resources, you can get any hero you want.

To reach a pity for dark light you have to farm 5 month as a f2p plus you have limited banner unit
And the worst part is the meta wich is light years more unbalanced than league

@@trigunn3414 Apologies Friend, I was simply talking about regular heroes but the limited heroes also fall in that category as they are summoned with the same resources.
But since you brought up moonlight heroes, then yes, these obviously do take longer to get. As they are the premium heroes in the game. These actually do have a 50/50 with the other 5star hero along side their banner.
However you can still guarantee yourself that unit if you save enough to pity.
So I will tell you the truth for the second time around:
If you save your resources, you can get any unit you want.
You being unhappy with how long it takes doesn't mean I'm a liar.

@@trigunn3414 smilegate has acknowledged that ml's are way too hard to get and made a bunch of steps to fix the issue. Every 20 ml bookmarks you get a 4-5 star ml summon, you get 2 golden transmit stones now from weekly quest + 1 free golden transmit from guild + extra golden transmits from other places. Still not a good system but miles better than before
@@trigunn3414 ml units are end game units, you could get them as you progress through the game, you should focus getting or upping your rgb units first

Believe me when I say I spent time with 90% of the gachas available in english, and Epic 7 is the one I havent dropped since I picked it up like 3 years ago.
I really enjoyed it as a complete f2p player, managing to get most of the characters due to the guaranteed roll system, and that by itself was already a massive plus for me.
But of course, theres also the beautifully drawn waifus and decent gameplay with well done visuals. Maybe the grinding might be too much for most people, but I am okay with it cuz I am able to finish the PVE content and dont plan on becoming a top PVP player anytime soon anyway.
Isn't the Guaranteed drop at 200 pulls? How do you manage 200 pulls per banner when your sources of skystones dries up so rapidly, and even then, you get enough for a 10 pull once a week, and that's if you're grinding.
@@BlastMagicianYGO it's 120 rolls actually. I never use Skystones for anything other than pulling characters, and that one time that I upgraded my unit stock limit. Sometimes for skins I want as well.
Just never waste Skystones, do the events and everything else that gives Skystones, and if you save up well you will have enough to pull new characters you want.
Granted I don't pull EVERY single one, only the ones I really want. The game also had several free rolls as well.
@@BlastMagicianYGO you can easily get 1 1/2 pity every month by just playing the game. I'm playing the game for almost 2 years now, i have every non time limited/collab RGB 5* unit(most of them too btw), 14 ML 5* Units, all 4* and 3* Units(RGB and ML) and sitting on 13k skystones and 3k Mythics. Except for the monthly packs(~15€ for both, Energy and Skystone) i haven't spent anymore money on the game, but you can easily play without them. The thing is you don't pull on every banner and make the right decisions when it comes to pull for a new unit or a re run banner. Also you literally never yolo pull without having full pity in bookmarks/skystones. The game is actually pretty generous when it comes to non ML 5* Units

Epic Seven is such a fun game, though it is time consuming. I've been playing for over a month and I'm still enjoying it. While, yes, the rates are not that good, it's better that most gachas. It even has a pity system. I actually got really lucky with the Re:Zero banners. I got 2 rems in 12 pulls and 1 Emilia and 2 copies of her artifact in 30 pulls. I don't even spend money on this game.
I got 2 emilias and no artifact til now. 1 rem too...I'll still try for the artifact.
I've spent $5 in over 2 years of playing just to "support" the game. And have 81% hero journal.
Good luck trying to keep up with a "game" that have a far worse balance than league lol

@@trigunn3414 Meta shifts happen...it's up to you to adjust to it.
Honestly this game is fun as heck and has a great combat system with the “combat readiness” bar, which lets me make naturally slow units out speed better openers. And odd as it sounds, the gacha system is really only important in pvp, pve is very possible by just building one or two units of each class and making sure you read enemy skills. All in all, it’s great for a long term game if you only play one or two gachas, though I don’t recommend it if you play more than that or if you are incredibly intent on getting every unit. I’ve played since the first guilty gear collab, restarted when COVID started, and have spent prob round 100 bucks, I don’t have every unit but the amount of versatility this game allows with team comps makes up for lack of good rates. Though you do get some selective summons as you progress and there or occasional 70 free summon events and web events if you are intent on getting every unit ;).
I'm glad you featured the game after the huge "Awakening" update because majority of the little things you covered were either revamped or had a wonder quality of life updated.

E7's late game is trash, you do nothing, and maybe after a few months you realize: that's a predatory casino rooting for the people to be frustrated not having every ML5 and eventually turning into leviathans that's will suddenly make the promotion of the game system since they start winning.
There can be joy in E7 but never the feeling of having earned something. That is *selon moi* the most boring end to a game i have ever encountered.

If you think the late game of e7 hinges on having ml5 units and that having ml5 units will make you "start winning", then you aren't actually late game. Take it from an f2p player in emperor (top 1000 rta) at the moment: e7 is a game based on gear, not on units. Guess how many ml5's I have? Four. Does it matter? Fuck no because games aren't determined on units, but on gear.
Its a hardcore sweaty game. You didnt play enough to realize the secret shop (bartender) actually allows you to refresh his shop to farm summons (mystic and covenant bookmarks). Yes the rates are better and the game has a pity system to actually allow you to fill 90% of the pokedex if you stick around and budget right
Not worth it and this comes from a vet who payed 1500$ and had all limiteds rgb 5 along w 23 ML5s played for 3 years ended up selling my account because the gear system and farm is horrible waste of everyones time 🤣💦

I started following you like 3 videos before you started this series, that same day I went to watch most of your popular videos and I must say (in my humble personal opinion)these series will definitely make your channel have that unique touch and it might be your signature move. I definitely enjoy this there's definitely many out there with this type of content but it's always how well it's executed and I feel this is a work of art keep it up.

I played the game on release, finished the campaign with the MC, a couple of the heroes you unlock for free and a healer I got on the free pick up summon you get at the start, then quit the game. Max limit breaking characters, specially higher rarity ones, and overall account progression now that I think about it, was too much grinding, even for gacha standards.

Hi Stix I just want to add (as a veteran player) though the gacha rate IS bad, for the most part its really not an issue because the game shits out a lot of free 5 star heroes through events or just celebrations or just by being generous. If you actually take a look in the in-game shop there's an item that allows you to purchase a 4-5 star hero book which increases your chances exponentially, which all it takes is accumulate summoning mileage. and for new players the total amount of free 5 start heroes one can get is actually 8 without having to spend sky stones whatsoever. and the fact that by playing the game it consistently gives you a lot of bookmarks and sky stones the rates doesn't feel as bad at all, especially when a 10 summon is 950 skystones compared to say Honkai Impacts 2800 crystals for an equally abysmal rate. But I will agree with the majority of players that the gear rng is the one that takes the most mental toll.
First, I'll say I agree with everything you've said in this video. But, for newer players, I would highly suggest that you go on their discord or follow e7 streamers to get into a guild and get as much help as you can.
Getting 5* characters in this game is actually pretty easy compared to other games. The rate will fool you but they give a lot of opportunities to get a 5*. Also, getting pity for units is pretty easy once you get stronger and reserve resources.
I am f2p in this game and I haven't had too many bad moments, also the community is pretty cool overall.
The main issues with the game is the RNG. Get. Ready. To. Mald. There is an innate 15% chance to resist that every character has so you could have a unit that stuns and has a high chance to do so but then a character that doesn't have any effect resistance will have a chance to resist. It is angering, so get ready for that.
But overall, it's one of my favorite gachas ever.
Honestly I think it's kinda funny you're reviewing the story now. Not only are all other available chapters better in every way. But they realized chapter one is generic af and has plot holes galore later on so they're rewriting it

I got more Raid Shadow Legends vibes from the gear watching this? Is it more like that than Genshin? I know he said similar to Genshin when gearing for example, but I quit Raid Shadow Legends after nearly a month playing and I'm getting a lot more vibes to that to compare even though I have not given E7 a chance.

This is the only game I started and never stopped playing. The voice acting and focus on characters makes me feel invested in them. My violet is mine I have experiences with him and so on and so on. Not to mention its the prettiest looking game I've played. Also The main character Ras goes through actually progression though the game and the game also sidelines him to focus on other characters See season 2. The Senya storyline was sad and I could go on and on.
I tried to get into Epic Seven, got all the way through the first chapter the last time. The rates are just too... gross. Though I am a fan of the Waifus I've acquired, you practically have to sell your soul to get anything decent more than once a year.
@@BlastMagicianYGO bro seriously? You dont need to use skystones to summon.You just use them to reset secret shop and buy the bookmarks with Gold that you farmed. You can also drop bookmarks from various different places and easily pity every new 5 star. Ive been playing for over a Year and i started late and i miss like 5 heroes. They often give you random 5 star tickets or summons. The only hard to aquire heros are moonlight versions but not all of them are must have. And seriously hardest part of this game is Rolling the perfect gear so you can compete with other players in PvP. That is real time. Not AI guided heroes. You fight in real time with other players making decisions.
@@BlastMagicianYGO Only if you are talking about ML 5 rates. Covenant 5*s are very common in E7. The game gives you 30x10 summons to start with. Never seen a more generous system to start off players before, and that was before all the other new player friendly systems they've implemented now such as the adventure path and a free, solid +15 unit, AS WELL as a free ML 5.
well i have 90% of heroes and artifacts as a F2P player, there are a lot events and daily tasks that give you 5star hero tickets and skystones rain trugh the game, the duplicates you were talking about, you can trade them to get the heroes you want including missing ones.
and about the AI players, there are 3 types of PVP
the arena split into 2:
- the arena where you battle other people defense teams as an AI
- the real time arena where you draft live champions, proced with bans and then take live turns with your opponent
and the guild wars
- where you battle other guilds teams for loot and power
My greatest problem is the promotion for characters to enter lvl 60. Like getting five 5* Phantasms is NOT EASY. I started playing last year. I admit I took a break and up till now I only have 3 6* characters

as an Endgame and High Champion player, in which Emperor rank doesn't exist yet, who played this game from release(2018), It was a best gacha that no one can compete until after 4 years which is now 2022, it became the worst after they messed up a lot.
Balancing. They gave free 5* ML exchanger after they nerfed a certain 5* ML. After like few patches when they nerf another 5* ML and didn't give free 5* ML exchanger, Reddit were raging that they want ML 5* exchanger because their character got nerf. So they got scared nerfing another 5* ML characters in which some of the characters are not balanced in the game. They only buff and don't nerf ML 5* Characters even tho they are broken. Then they started releasing limited units also that is broken and can't be nerf. Reddit: "why nerf them, they are limited units!".
Pity. They became so generous that they implemented pity summons that made the summoning not exciting anymore when everyone can get it anyway because reddit kept complaining "ohh i dont have a 5* ML", "New players should be able to catch up" now what happen?
During Arena, Guild Wars, RTA, you will see the same team over and over again that you can't experiment anymore because of the Meta, powerspike and everyone can use the broken meta characters because of the pity system complained by Reddit. Now they kept releasing OP ML5* and limited where they don't want to nerf and everyone can get it. RTA and Guild Wars were way more fun before until they mess up the gacha system and releasing broken characters that is unhealthy for the game.
The RNG on this game will make you rage also like in RTA, 5% will proc 5 times in a row? how is that possible? The gears are also hard RNG in which thousand runs for 1 - 2 good gears only after enhancement. Like even you Top Up lot of money here, gears rng will always be the problem. Abyss is also RNG heavy like you don't want your dps to get hit but they decided to hit dps instead.
Many of the top players and guild, including me already quit the game because they kept on messing up the updates. and there are no new exciting contents. They only listen to korean or reddit players who suggest bad things on this game and made the game worse. Epic Seven was very fun before but not anymore.
I hate when specific classes or heroes become the meta.

In the past while pulling for Roanna i had to go for guaranted but got like six 5 star artifacts. Also i kinda dislike how much time uprading characters and gearing them takes.
Everything is almost perfect bout this game, but why is it so damn hard getting that thing to summon. Am i doing something wrong i mainly just play the main story and i find it super long just to do a summoning

I am in for 8 Month now ! I absolutley fell in love with it. But its not for everyone. I would say its more of a hardcore game. You really have to invest a lot of time, especially in the begining but the road is so much fun - the world is stuffed with different things to do and you get so much rewards everywhere. The great think in my opinon is that you allways have a goal , first you wanna be strong enought to beat the adventure mode, then you want to do hunts, then you build arena teams, then you try to tackle the abysss and finally you start to go to PVP. While the rates might sound terrible so far as a low spender (15 Euros a month) I could pull for at least every 2nd unit coming my way ! For that you have to do dailys and weeklies and reach a decent rank at arena (PVE) and you need to refresh the shop. I am coming from Genshin and trust me you can pull 5 times more, they are really generous. In this 8 month i had at least 3 events where they gave away 70 x Pulls. I usually do autofights for the grindy hunts and then play another game aside. A big plus is the community and the great E7 Content Creators who help a lot with your progression to the game. I would give it a shot if you wanna Pull a lot, like Waifus and love cool Animation. Stay away if you hate grindy games.

Also two things against the thing that it's hard for a f2p, firstly there are a good amount of both really strong 3* and 4* characters, you aren't really required to use any 5* chars to get progress in the story or get stuff done in the arena really and on top of that you get a ton of the premium currency weekly and daily plus there is pity basically everywhere by now and you get event that let you do ten pulls daily instead of one. The only part where you would have to whale is to get every good moonlight character but it's not even slightly needed to get a single good ML character to make a insane team
Im fully f2p, im top 1600 rn in world arena (live pvp) and i have 12 ml5 star units and almost every rgb unit (red, green, blue) as long as you keep at it youll get everything you want, i currently only want 1 unit in the game and its kinda want and im getting it this week lol. They have a custom ml banner going rn and im close to pity.
To be fair, epic seven's PvP AI works as follows - if a unit is of a certain element, let's say fire, they will target earth first since it is weak to them. Then fire because it is equal, then light and dark because they are neutral to them. If there is no other than an ice unit remaining it will be targeted, if all units are of one element the one with the highest attack will be targeted, although some units like a.cidd and a.coli will aim for the target with highest speed. the same goes for cilias provoke.
I must say that I am unsure about if equal element gets attacked before light or dark since I never paid attention to that specifically, so please do correct me if I am wrong.
I love E7 but it has one problem that makes me take breaks of it from time to time and that's the amount you have to farm for gear. It can take weeks to get a full set of equip for a unit but it has atleast already been improved over time
1 week is a rookie number and considered lucky, most people can only build 1 hero per month (good build)

One thing these older gear based games could learn from some of the newer ones is too forego the min and max rolls on stat lines. Just praying for the gear to drop with the subs you want and the rolling into the sub you want is hard enough without having to pray for a max roll at each step of the way. Also imo this game should drop the need for charms needed to upgrade gear. Most games just require you to use 1 resource such as gold or mana for some reason E7 require 2 which is pretty annoying. Lastly they added a gear pity in recent but all that does is garentee an epic piece of gear in the slot you need. I think the crafting pity should allow you garentee 2 out of 4 of your subs or you main stat on right side gear. Probably not the best place to be writing this but here we are lol

I love the game but they really need to remove the cost for removing gear. I have been playing for 1 or more year and the cost has been always restricting me on my playstyle.
To be honest epic seven is the mobile game that I have played and the more time I have given it the more hours, of course it has its flaws but what I like is that at least if they give you the probability of getting the character you want, not like in others porridge that I have seen that do not have the insured.
Another thing that I like are the characters, especially Ras who is my favorite husbando, of course you have to have time and patience to be able to craft, get gems and so on but at least the developers do communicate with us and give us more than any other game i've seen
I thought the only person who like Ras is only Yuna and the rest of the girls just admire or sees him as a friend in a formal way
I pivoted from Summoner's War to Epic 7 when E7 launched. I played for about as long as I played SW (several years). I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Eventually, I got to high end pvp, and I eventually fell out of love. I look back at my time with fondness, but if I were to go back in time and do it over again I would say "Pass". I haven't had a "main" gacha for a while, but now it looks like Counter:Side is it for me.

This game us kept alive by the hardcore veteran players, which is great in many ways, but leaves a MASSIVE wall for new players to overcome. Otherwise, way too much time needs to be invested into inventory and gearing in order to actually play this game.

TLDR: There's really no point for FOMO because summoning for RGB hero in this game is basically guaranteed. If you missed a limited hero or missed a limited collab, it doesn't matter. Custom Banner exist to allow you to create your own banner(yes you can create a banner with 3 limited heroes on a single banner if you want). They rerun collabs so much that new player will start realizing that collabs are becoming less and less special. I mean fuck man, they're rerunning Re:Zero right now and I know for a fact that a rerun for Slime collab will be right around the corner. New players are guaranteed 3 5* heroes that are built specifically for Hunting, Sigret, Cermia and Vivian.
There's literally no point in you in pulling banners in early to late game. Unless you're in the late late game where you're building 1-shot teams for hunt, Guild Wars, Arena and Expedition, pulling banners in the early stage is a dumb idea.
I am a day 1 global player and I can say that the PvE and gacha in this game are absolutely amazing. PvP wise, it's the most broken is the absolute worse part of the game.
Gacha is pretty easy in this game, as long as you're not chasing Moonlight heroes then you can essentially get all RGB heroes while being F2P. Though that is expecting that you know how to hold back during the earlier stage and not do the dumb shit of immediately wasting your resources.
I obviously easy to see that new players are the one that's at a more advantage because old players like me were force to do all of those impossible bullshit, example being the fact that back then pity didn't even exist. There's also the fact that new players can immediately get their first 5* Moonlight hero.
Also limited banners in this game is useless as limited doesn't mean shit when they keep rerunning those same limited banners. I mean fuck, there's no point in having that FOMO with collab banners when they rerun the same collab for like the 6 times and now they're rerunning the Re:Zero collab the 2nd time which would follow up with the 2nd rerun of the Slime collab. Also another thing that just removes FOMO is the Custom banners where players can literally create their own banners. Meaning if you wish to create banner that has 3 limited heroes in a single banner, then yes you can do that. Same with Mystic Summon that allows for Custom Banners and even now choosing which hero to pity, either the 5* or 4*.
The biggest problem in this game that this PvP whining fucks seems to keep forgetting is gears. SG keeps giving us ways to get more gears but doesn't solve the root problem which is the horrid RNG in gear substats drop and enhancing. I basically almost have all RGB heroes, I have all the collab heroes and despite all of that I only have like 10 actually built hero in the game.

I come from Genshin where everything is worse. The rates are worse and the rng is worse and the greed is worse. So while I can understand where ur coming from I don't agree with you at all. And maybe that's because I'm a new player and not a vet or maybe it's my luck but I doubt that. People complain way to much about gear rng. I roll multiple pieces of good gear anytime I craft gear for myself. And I have so many xp penguins that I can lvl any unit up to max. I have atleast 10 geared units and I just started playing like 4-5 months ago. Outside of gear rng the other thing I disagree with is the Collab and limited units. no one wants to wait a year for 1 character or a Collab. Running collabs and limited units in a smaller time frame allows for people that have the unit to pull for dupes or allow anyone who didn't or wasn't playing a chance to get the new shiny character. Which honestly after 6 months has probably fallen off. Is rimuru great. Yeah sure. Did they create and solution to him. Yeah they did. Did they then create a solution to the solution for rimuru, you bet, and actually within a shorter timespan than 6 months. A character doesn't stop feeling special because other people have it. It stops feeling special when what it can do no longer feels worth it. SSB will always feel amazing and like a limited unit because of how she plays and what she does not because only a few people have here. Just silly. Again tho I understand where you're coming from, just disagree due to my own experiences.

I mean fair. But I never run out of stamina. Ever. There's constant events going on gifting stamina. And the game gives you plenty of these things called Leif's which give you stamina. I haven't ran out of stamina since I started playing and I play everyday at least 4 hours a day

Maybe I have decent luck, plus all the currency this game dumps on you. But equipment is a lot more of an issue then the drop rates for me. Will be my 3rd month playing and I'm swamped with characters that I have no gear for.
For the ATB style combat overall the best. I do have issues with gearing, monetization (no I didnt want those bait packs the last 10 times and I still don't) and how many types of summonings. But they do have a decent story and music. Fairly generous with summons and have synched schedule/servers. I just wish they would purge the arena of old accounts.
Do think Artery Gear Fusion can take the top spot but probably not for a few years.
None of the packs are worth the money. You actually get less than what you put in and only the biggest whales shud be going for those things. Only the monthly skystone pack is worth it tbh.

Wish more games were like FGO and had good value on straight gems and no packs or BS. Although last year for the JP anni they doubled the free gems on all purchases so that was like 90 summons (with the 11th free every 10) for $80).
Btw not talking about competitive real time arena was not a good choice. Also I've been almost F2P since year 1 and the rates are actually not that bad. Unless you want a specific character since the beginning.
Story wise E7 is just standard, after chapter one and two, MC not being able to clap everything (even nerfed or not) made me skip some parts of the next chapters cuz it felt like a text dump for nothing, people doing political shit and power greed battles is nice and all but when MC just wants to let them know that there was a being who already destroyed the planet 6 times and another approaching greater danger and asking if they want an alliance for when the time comes, the proper answer should be "well shit, I guess I don't have a choice" instead of tricking, lying and making MC do their shit for meaningless things.

@@trigunn3414 i like my general shit shows, when I dont wanna think deep about something. But anime and manga with proper world charater and story building hit in a much stronger sence. So that's why I have a few anime and manga that I'd give above an 7.5. I feel alot more casual and power fantasy come out without putting effort any meaning or conflict. Berserk the manga is a classic example of great and progressive world build along with charter building mystery. But also intrigue. Hoseki does a great job with telling its story and especially charater building whilst making the charaters feel multi faceted. It also slowly builds up its world unlike isekai witch drop for an arbitration, there are some iseki that have done well in these factors, but they are litteraly 2 that ive found decent 1 that I find good. So yeah as of late alot of bad writing has been popping of becasue ppl want non Impactfull storys to relax, whilst self insert iseki is going along.

Guild wars is or was a huge part of the game. My entire Discord community of guilds was essentially centred around it at the time (and well, it's still going today). Unfortunately very P2W, especially with the 5 star moonlight characters. I did dolphin unfortunately. Still had rotten luck with that and more. One banner in particular drained me a lot as the artefact doesn't have pity. This is my perspective from before the game turned 2 and they slowly became more generous, as these games are wont to do. I got burnt out by the insane RNG, as well as their back-to-back controversies from the time - eg Alencia refund fiasco.
Day 1 player here.. Three weeks is too short amount of time for this game I think. But oh well. There's been SO many improvements in the past two years. The game is incredibly different than when it first started out and is a lot more fair to f2p now than before. Newer players don't know how lucky they are...
gacha rates are low but they give u so many freebie 5* star tickets over the course of the year that just playing passively you'll be earning 5*'s without trying...only downside is once you have enough heroes you start to get duplicates lol.
Also the pity system at 120 pulls for RGB units is very manageable. Especially at higher ranks of pvp where the weekly skystone rewards increase exponentially and it takes about ~8000 skystone to pull for an rgb 5 star unit, where you use your skystone to roll for bookmarks in the secret shop. Dailies give 50 skystone, hunts give skystone, story gives skystone, free bookmarks are given constantly in events. Stuff is everywhere but you do have to be playing the game to see them. Basically, the longer you play the game the easier it gets and the less time sink it is.
I'd also note that real time pvp does exist and you unlock it at ar lvl 65 if i recall correctly. And it's quite literally the "end game" of the end game in Epic 7. Not newbie friendly since ur competing with people who have had months to grind. But it's still fun.
ml (dark/light) pity now exists too for the standard ml banner. 30 summons for 4-5* guaranteed. It's gotten easier with every update. I will say though the grind for your first ml hero as a new player is...still substantial to say the least. For veterans it's about two months.

I suggest worst gacha game for this series, is Grand Summoners, that game is my very first gacha rpg and still playing it since, and of course, a love/hate relationship with the game, recently found your channel and already loving the vids, keep up the good work sir.
It's not a bad game, gets updates regularly, but I would never recommend it to anyone. It's rng upon rng hell later on, korean level grindy with no skip function, with straight stupid balancing, ads and so on...

Free 2 play since the game was 1 month old I got nearly every 5 star unit with a crap ton of duplicates, if you auto grind some gold everyday using bluestacks or nox. Save your skystones and ONLY use them for refreshing garo's shop to get summoning bookmarks ( The horned bartender in the lobby/main menu ) You can absolutely hit pity for almost every individual character banner. Except when they got a collab event and release 2/3 units at once. I get the 5 star without fail even if I have to hit the pity which is 121 summons.
Don't use 950 skystones to buy 50 bookmarks directly. Thats a scam, plus when refreshing shop you might chance upon a decent gear to buy and some mystic bookmarks. People that complain no skystones and 5* need to manage their skystones better.

To be fair the gacha is not that bad in this game and they give you a lot of tickets and free pulls with which you can get 5* characters and there are many 4* and even 3* that are really useful and even needed for pve. The problem is not getting your units (unless they are an specific moonlight) the big problem is to gear them. A very frustrating process, specially at the beginning since aside from the awful rng and the long auto farming, it is also a resource intensive process and you even have to pay gold for swapping your equipment (horrible mechanic that shouldn’t exist).
The game requires dedication but that could be a good thing or a bad one depending of what you’re looking for.

I'm an epic seven player. Well, I was. Epic Seven is an awesome game. I just think the game should remove the Catalyst system or ease the farming for those because Summoners war doesn't have that and SW feels fluid without that system. Tho SW have the Worst gacha in the market. The catalyst system doesn't make sense to me. And the Skill animations for PVE should have an ON/OFF feature for farming purposes.

The AI in this game I think is actually very intelligent, and if you take the time to understand it, can be used very well. This is apart from a few outliers. But the AI is extremely consistent making it better imo.

ok i rlly enjoy e7 and its my favourite gacha game. Ofcourse i see e7 as a grinding mess cause theres just so many content to do like: story, abyss, hunt, lab, expedition, guild wars, arena, rta new guild inheritance and and and. well but its the only gacha game that made me enjoy this game and ive been playing this game for more then 1 year constantly. The story is great the animation is awesome the community is rlly nice aswell and its a gacha game where i dont feel like i am playing alone and progressing alone. Every game has good and bad aspects but still its my favourite game and i will keep on playing it. But good video tho :D
this man forgets to mention that we have pity banners that GUARANTEE the banner unit after a certain number of summons (120) so even as a free player, which i am, I can guarantee banner pulls fairly often just from saving the premium currency that the game provides, maybe every other banner i can get a guaranteed 5* unit, and that's on top of the fairly generous events and stuff they will give out, and get a 4-5 star guaranteed unit item twice a month from logins.
as for pvp, the AI will try to take advantage of element triangle, which is something you can take advantage of in pvp, putting a certain unit in your team that you can trick/force the enemy team AI to attack.
It doesnt matter at all since the meta will crush you to oblivion before you even blink

I've played it a couple of hours at a time every few months. It isn't getting better though I keep hearing how great it is though.
It's actually really generous in summons. As a f2p player you can hit pity once a month maybe 2 if you don't play that much. Pity is 120 summons or 600 bookmarks or 11000 skystones. I joined about 4 months ago and have pulled every Collab unit that's come out and multiple of them happened before pity. It's not as bad as you are suggesting it is.
Actually, e7 can't be considered as f2p friendly or bad gacha game because it really depends on luck. I met a f2p player who crafted insane gear most of the time and whale who spent a lot but not quite following up the meta. It really depends on luck I suppose.

Actually is not that hard to get all the RGB characters, the banners garantee that is the only character you can get and I'm a f2p mostly and I didn't have any troubles on that departement, the worst part of the game, by far, is the gear grinding and all the damn rng involved there. And you forgot complitely RTA for battles in real time against another guy.

Epic seven is an amazing gacha game with a great sound track.
Still very populated for pvp. World arena is much better than regular arena because it is real time pvp so both players are playing their teams, but it is very pay to win.
My problem with epic seven is the bad gacha rates. Yea we get more gacha currency. But to hit pity would probably take a month or two without using skystones for more resources. And trust me, you'll hit pity a lot. Or at least get very close. I went 121 pulls without a since 5* hero or 5* artifact. Not even a random artifact.
Speaking of gear, you thought artifact farming in Genshin was bad. Hunts is the most played content after world arena. The characters aren't the pay to win in epic seven but the gear is. Whales will have many more chances at getting the best gear ever while ftp, good luck on that dream.
Worst part of epic seven is it's time sink. It's the polar opposite of Genshin in a way. Genshin has no content but that means you can play it and another game at the same time. Epic seven, to use all your daily energy, it might take half a day. Even if it was my only game, I wouldn't have time for it. Work you know.
This is why I like Azur Lane. You get the same play time but you don't feel pressured to play all the time. You can store your oil to 25k, it's hard limit. You can hold your mail indefinitely up to 1000 mail.
I have 100k+ oil in my mail. So I could play for a few weeks with what I have. Or take it slow and play something else while I wait for more oil. I don't HAVE TO play it.
Currently, while I'd love to see rem ram and Emilia, epic seven is on daily pull only mode right now.
Mostly because rank up packs have to be purchased with a week after you reach the pack's max level so you either buy or miss (I obviously want to buy) so I'm not playing there. No time so not playing there, even though I should since I usually do events and only events.
The main plus side of epic seven, is I can let it play at night.
One auto play session can last a couple hours with the right difficulty and right team. Sometimes even a whole night if you set up a unkillable team with low dps on a hunt.
But right now, my time is focused on azur lane and honkai and arknights with a dash of girls Frontline. Sorry Iseria, I'll see you later my sweet

As some have already pointed out, getting units isn't really that much of a problem. Of course, the game has 3 years under its belt so for someone starting today it will take some time to catch up on units. Even so, they keep making it easier for new players to get good units.
The REAL issue is the gear. Getting GOOD gear for a lot of the units is hellish. And you need to gear a lot of units if you want to do PvE content and have a good pool of units to choose for PvP. It's the one aspect of the game they barely improve, so it remains bad (even if it was much worse before). For example, for the recent Awaken update they showered us with MolaGoras (the material for enhancing skills), they basically gave a really good 5* unit for each of the main Hunts for free, gave us some group selective summons to get the units we wanted, gave us a bunch of materials, and so on. While on the gearing aspect of the game they only implemented a pity system that barely makes any difference because it only ensures you get an epic gear of the set you want every 20 or so pieces you craft... which isn't much... really.
Oh, and did I mention you have to pay gold to unequip gear unless you have the free unequip buff? Sure, you can get a 12h free unequip buff every 2 weeks or so and they sometimes give a whole weekend of free unequip buff, but that still forces you to sit down and do your gearing when they want, not when you can.
Anyway, it sucks beating on the game because other than that, it's really good. The production value it's great, they care about the story which is rare in a gacha, they engage with the community, etc. But it's just so... tiresome...
BTW, last thing I wanted to point out, Ras isn't really that kind of protagonist you mentioned xD
Dude I’ve started the game like 8 or 9 months ago and the brick wall you run into down the road when it’s you’re first account and you don’t fully grasp things yet is literal hell on earth. Even after all the time I’ve sinked into this game I’m still locked out of the cool shit the game offers because I just don’t have the luck to meet the EXTREMELY Tall gear requirements to do well in these activities.
@@Thundeelord2009 I've been around since 2 months after launch and I took breaks a couple of times for a few months, probably going to take a third break after ML Vivian is released and I try to get her. Honestly, for PvE you don't need god tier gear, a good team sinergy goes a long way. I one shot Banshee and I'm using a 5* Leo and a 5* Lucy... And the Baiken I'm using could be much stronger. Even Advent is more about having 3 teams with good sinergy and decent gear than having god tier gear. The real gear issue is when you get into PvP =_=

I am a Veteran and back then Grinding for gear was simpler but more challenging, since Awakened Montmorancy has yet to bless the grind period back then with Angelica being a Must Pick for certain Hunts. And let me tell you, its as rewarding as it can get until you realize that grinding for craftable mats is not enough to get the best drop in the game.
Oh and you can also use the Wraith sisters as dedicated Boss killers at times before Chapter 2 was announced.
