So black people always forgave his bullshit actions he did, but this last one for me and so many other black folks was when he made the statement and I quote " black people wanted to be slaves". Then he doubled down on that quote. Like he was correct. But, eventually he back down. I was done, I was tried of his behaviors also, with Donald Trump and the continues problematic behaviors that he continues to display for years. So no, I don't care how good his music is at this point, his bad behaviors has overshadowed all that great music he makes. I and so many other black folks are done and yes cancelled this man. Claudia, has it ever occurred to you that when Kanye said slavery was a choice he was referring to the slave owners and not the slaves? White people could have chosen not to own slaves. If I get a free ticket to an event like this, get free parking, I would probably not have an issue supporting the menu and buying something from it. Now if tickets were high $$$$, parking was high $$$ and then I saw this menu I'd have an issue because I'd know that even though it's free for me there are still people working the event that are working to provide for their families........i.e lighting guys, sound guys, stadium workers, set builders, etc,etc,etc. All stuff needed before the talent even arrives.

Kanye is not totally forgiven, but I think the reason that people still root for Kanye is that he has serious mental health issues and it was clear that he was in a manic state when he was saying a lot of the crazy Trump stuff. It is good to see him in a more stable state. But Chrisette seemingly made her decision with a sound mind, even when other artists begged her not to. So I guess there is a subtle difference between the two situations.

Firstly, anyone who goes to a movie theater and does not purchase at least 1 item is ignorant. Why? Because theaters may less than .5% on EACH ticket sale, the rest of those funds go to the folks who make the movies (justifiably so, it takes a lot of people/money to make the films) so theaters make up where they fall short on money from ticket sales, the price of the food is the way that is so that THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE THEATER GET PAID! If you have no problem tipping when you go out to eat at a restaurant, then buying 1 candy, or a bucket of popcorn is the equivalent of tipping.
This is why over the last few years prior to Covid, you see more food varieties at the theaters and they offer more amenities as far as the overall movie experience, depending on where you’re at.
