Honda Valve Adjuster Wrench Part # 07908-B00100 - Jak na to + styl
This man deserves an award for this video. I never knew what caused the ticking in my motor , and I was scared as hell to take any of those covers off. Now I know how it works. ThankYou.
Yep and he did it in about 6 minutes. Perfectly done informative video without a bunch of useless filler.
Thank you so much for making these ATC valve adjustment and cam chain adjustment videos. You have no idea how helpful your videos are to so many people who are involved with these old ATC’s. Your ATC videos are linked to so many posts in the most popular ATC forums. You’ve helped countless enthusiasts with your knowledge and simple explanations.
Thank you! Nice to see someone work on these older machines! Good stuff!
Wow. You're the best. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and in the process, my project that much more enjoyable. I found an 83 200X in "a time capsule" your jaw would drop if you saw this thing. Original tires and still ready to roll and everything. I've been wanting a 3 wheeler for a long time and finally found a great one. She's been sitting quite a while and these videos you have made are just what the doctor ordered. Thank you so very much for sharing the knowledge D-Ray.
This guys enthusiasm and accent and just instruction are great I really just came to see what 0.05mm play looked like so I could set my valves
I appreciate all your ATC videos. They've really helped me get my 1982 honda 200 running smooth. Thanks very much.
Great videos. 3 wheelers are amazing. Still run like a champ after 25-30 years.
Really like the detail explaining you do. Very good shots of what your doing great job, you make us not so good mechanics look like we know what were doing. Thanks
Simply awesome I'm trying to straighten out an 84 Honda atc 200m, your videos are going to help alot. Thanks for uploading
man these 200s vids are awsome just the knowledge i needed to know thank you sooo much
good videos, just picked up a 84 atc 200m and these vids helped me get her tuned up and running good!!!
Thanks for doing these videos. They have been very helpful.
D-Ray, you just saved me a lot of money. What a gold mine - I have a 84 200s, that is also in like new condition that just needs a little tuning attention. I also put a Goki electric start kit on it - its pretty retro lol.
your videos helped me out alot on my 200s. thanks dray
Thank you so, very much, man. I enjoyed every minute of that video. Thank you so much.
Thanks for these great videos. I'm using them to get my xl185s running smooth. I have the Haynes manual, but it covers so many models, that it's a bit hard to follow at times. This videoas make everything clear.
Excellent video. I will be able to do this now. Thanks a bunch!
Your the Honda ATC GOAT 🐐 greatest of all time
I learn something different everyday! He knows his stuff
thanks ray, you answered all my questions, since I dont have the manuel for my 200x
Many thanks - really helped on my
200X project. You need to be on Power Block TV!
Excellently done video my man!
dude you help me out a lot i i got my cylinder back form thehonda dealer ship where i live at and i was tring to figure out how to find tdc on this modle thanks a lot
Excellent, I subbed! Good stuff!
Another great video, thanks
bought a fixer upper - wouldn't run - awesome vid adjusted valves took rite off!!
excellent video , thanks for doing this
Just about any motorcycle shop should have those, it's a 3mm screw with a .5 thread pitch. used a lot in turn signal and tail light lenses on older motorcycles. Thanks for watchin'!
Excellent video - very helpful. I've watched the entire series on the ATC 200s and found it VERY helpful. I can't seem to find the part number for the valve adjusting wrench you specify, but CAN find a similar part number of 07908-MB00100 (missing the "M" above).
Thanks for the vids D-ray. When I turn to the fire mark it lines up bit when I turn slightly to the Tdc mark the rotor mark is almost 180 drgs counter clockwise have had some idling issues with brand new carb and it bogging down bad in high rpm unless choke is half open its an 85 200s
Depending on conditions and hours ridden, usually once a year is good.
Awesome video. Enjoyed learning a very important maintenance item. Thanks so much.
Good info. Thanks D-Ray
Thank you D Ray.
Love your videos D-Ray! I'm a Honda ATC collector and small engine repair guy. Where did you get your Honda Pocket Spec Guide? I would love one for my toolbox. Does it have an ISBN #? Thank you!
If the timing marks are not visible, you can look at the pulser and rotor on the cam. It doesn't have to be perfectly on TDC, anywhere close will do.
Thank you for these videos.. I had used your video on the pull cord and I have to say it was the first time I was not afraid to do it..Do you have any videos on electrical, the guy i bought my 200s from said you need a battery to have the LED headlight he put on I want to start checking the bike out not sure were to start
If you have any advice that would be great
Great vid
DRay,
I sold my 200S to get a buddy out of jail. Your 200S videos are excellent. Could you please do a video series on Suzuki Quadrunner?
Thank you so much!
Does this whole video apply to the 200M and 200ES?
I wish! lol Thanks bro..
good helpful video.
D-Ray, Great video's which are very instructional. I used them to repair my carb and now adjusting the valves. Can you help a local Jonesboro guy out? Got a 1984 Big Red ATC200ES. Any ideas where I can find body decals for it. Already got the gas tank decals, but need the fender decals. Thanks.
Wanted to say thank you for the video, I am able to get the trike started now.
By any chance do you have any videos for valve seals? It blows white smoke with throttle.
Thanks
Mike
So you adjust both valves at the same time while it’s on top dead center?
Hey d-ray that valve adjustment was great, can u do the same on honda 350x atc
Im watching the video and trying to adjust my valve clearance, but...Question: I've got the "T" mark lined up (TDC) when I look down at the crank, but the rotor mark and pulser cable marks are nowhere near lined up. In fact the rotor line mark is pointing straight down or away from the pulser cable mark. Does this mean my timing is off? Should I move forward and adjust the valve clearance as long as I have the "T" mark TDC?
I have acquired a 1984 200 atc in peaces have replaced CDI ,coil cleaned all the switches new coils both of them made sure the grounds are clean and connected. I have replaced all electronics except the rectifier. I got this as a project but can't get it to fire. It has a week spark i can feel it touching the plug when it turns over . If you have some advice what i cando to get it running ,it would be greatly appreciated.
Is just the rotor spinning or the whole advance/camshaft?
Yep, It'll do that, remove the rope starter and hold the flywheel, then you should be able to break loose that rotor bolt. Thanks for watchin!
Hey D-Ray, hopefully you can help me out here. My 85 200S has a lot of issues with changing gears once warmed up. Most of the time once it's been ridden for a while it will choose a gear and just stick in it and it will not come out. I tried to adjust the free play from your video but after loosening the lock nut and putting a screwdriver on the adjuster it would not turn in either direction..it was locked up. Do you have any idea what I should check?
When does it bog, just of idle or while riding?
I got a quick question oil is pumped up all the way to the intake and exhaust valves as well as the cam right?
So question for you. On mine the exhaust valve. The adjustment arm seems to be bouncing on top of the valve but the valve won't actually move... Anyt thoughts?
hey D ray can you show a video of timing the honda 300 fourtrax i cant find that ong youtube anywhere
I don't seem to be having any luck trying to find the valve adjuster wrench. Is that part number off by one digit by any chance? It DOES look perfect for the job! Thank you in advance.
If it is ticking, re-check your valve clearences, and your cam chain adjustment. If you know these items are correct, and it still makes noise, you either have a scored or worn cam and rockers, you might also check the timing advancer on the cam, make sure you can turn the rotor slightly one way, and it should spring back. either of these items can cause what your describing.
Try draining your carb bowl, you may have a lil water in the bottom, covering the main jet. Also, remove the fuel line from the carb, and turn the petcock on and watch it while it drains into a gas can or bucket. If your gas cap is not venting properly, the fuel flow will slow to a trickle after a bit, if it does, and you remove the cap, and the flow resumes, your cap is not venting, I have seen this in the past. let me know what you find. have a goodun'
hi i gotta replace that spark advance, my return springs are broken, whats the best way to get that off to put a new one on?? for top dead center, assuming your on the right T mark, if you move the crank backwards, the vavles should move? are both intake and exhaust closed and open at the same time?? thanks
Stephanie Jonathan were you ever able to get it fixed?
how often do these valves need adjustment Dray?
Thanks again
hey D-Ray Smith i have a question. i have a 1984 honda trx200 with a spark issue. i have replaced the plug tested the cdi and replaced it also and the spark plug the pick up coil on the head and the one in the crank case and sonetimes it would have spark and then it wouldn't and now it don't have any at all. i also tested and replaced the spark coil before the plug and still nothin as long with the key switch. i have a bad feeling it is the rotor cause the book said if it has been sitting for over the matter of year which it has been sitting several that the rotor will loose magnetism and cause it to not spark or spark properly i just know that is a very rare thing but do you think that is whats wrong with it? i cant find a pulsar for it at all either since it is obsolete along with the rotor but rocky mountain atv has the rotor new for $366 just dobt wanna spend that kind of money on it but i would if that fixes it. what do you think?
hey man I have a 84 200m when I start it and ride it for about 5-10 minutes it gets super hot the exhaust starting from the engine any idea what it could be?
Precision machine
I checked mine and it is tight with no play and it still ticks should I back it off some runs great other than the tick
we already did all that and put new gas lines and new gas and started it with the gas cap right off the bike ,there is a rattling noise in the engine like a ticking but ? when you push the gas its like it has no power ,or even when u shift it into gear it stalls and no power to go anywheres
How would you go about removing the pulse rotor Dray? I tried just unbolting it but the engine keeps spinning when I do.
Hi DRay iv been haven this same problem over and over again i ajust the carb many times but i just cant seem to get rid of the bogging on the 1984 honda big red atc 200cc
could ne1 plez tel me y my 3 wheeler atc 1984 200es doesnt hav spark? thanks.
hey , I got the carb cleaned on my 200 s Honda three wheeler , and I noticed about a week after it was like losing power ,then now I can start it but it feels like theirs no power when I push the gas , and it stalls , its like theirs no power at the gas ,do u know what this could be
I didn't see the link for the valve wrench?
Is this all the same for the 185 engine?
D-Ray... Still can't find this pocket guide. Any help, bud? Does it have a Honda part number?
Don't suppose you could do a tutorial on doing the same thing to a 250es?
I took can cover off and I can spin the rotor really easy seems broke because it won't turn anything what do I do
Man, can't find that wrench anywhere.. Must be an obsolete item now.. If you know of any places that still sell them.. Post a link please.. I own 3 three wheelers.. Could definitely use one in the box..
Thanks
all this time i thought i was doing it primitive i never use a feeler gauge on mine either ......cool lol
Sounds like your advancer has come apart, I have seen them do this before. You'll need to get a new one or find a used one somewhere. That one is trashed.
What do I do if the rotor just turns freely it seems broke
hola amigo te quiero hacer una pregunta mi xr arranca si le doy un embion que podria ser??
Is there another way to start it
Does anybody know why my 200e when I put it in gear the 3 wheeler will automatically go without pressing gas throttle?
Either the idle speed is too fast, the one way bearing in the primary cluch is in backwards or siezed, or the primary clutch spring is broken.
could u do a xl185s video?
Hi I'm having an issue with mine I adjusted the valves now how do you set the trigger wheel if you could email me it would be greatly appreciated mine idles perfect but mid to wot it acts as if there's a rev limiter like sputters real hard any help would be greatly appreciated this is stumping me
what if there is no letters in the timing hole
mine is flooded what do I do
Drain bowl and clean the carb out. Float might be stuck
Do you still have that book
I need the valve clearance for a 83 Honda xl 200r
Just the rotor nothing else moves.
lol i seen ur videos
D-Ray... Still can't find this pocket guide. Any help, bud? Does it have a Honda part number?
