Peter Hollens with Home Free also did a fabulous version of Amazing Grace. Another Peter and Tim duet I think you will enjoy is their cover of Sounds of Silence.

Just call him Chance, that's what he goes by. Great Reaction. I recommend" Can't Outrun You" which is a solo by Chance.

Peter is so multi-talented!! He put all his heart and soul into the video! He’s so genuine! I love all of the collaborations he’s done with Home Free and Tim! The newer Adam goes by “Chance” to avoid confusion. I had never really noticed how similar Peter’s and Austin’s voice were in their upper range! Did you notice Adam Rupp’s cool drum cadence around the middle (forgot to notice the time)? It was really cool! The scene with the head shots being swapped out at the beginning was from their collaboration on Amazing Grace. That would be a great video to check out. Part of it was filmed inside a church, and the other part was outside. I really enjoyed your reaction. You pointed out some things I didn’t catch or think about. If you like Chance’s voice, check out some of Home Free’s video’s where he has the lead. (“I Can’t Outrun You”, “Dive Bar Saints”, and “Cover Me Up”). You are right about his voice! I agree! I love that rich, raspy tone. All of their voices are amazing and blend flawlessly and beautifully!!

Dear Schnell, yes that was Adam Chance who sang the Bass on Mayday while Tim sang in the higher range of his 5 Octave range. The editor for this had to deal with 350 videos to put it together. Based on the fact that you did a short laugh exactly when they showed Austin's cat I wanted to tell you that his cat's name is Dawg. Hey Schnell, this is a particular favorite of mine too !! I listen to a few songs everyday & this is one of them. Chance (as he goes by in the band) has the lead in several of my favorite songs by Home Free, in particular another favorite, Die a Happy Man, a cover of Rhett Thomas' mega hit a few years ago. Also a very special song for Chance, "Cover me up" that you have to watch to the very end. Chance also wrote the acting script for this one, sang leadm, directed, edited and produced it too....you'll see why this was his project too if you watch to the end !! Also add Home Free's newest "Warmest Winter" to your Christmas song list to react too....it's a stubbing song and written by Austin

The voice you hear in the background are 350 members of Peter's Patreon following. The production engineers somehow sync'd them all together; an amazing engineering feat. If you go to Elizabeth Zarhoff's reaction video she goes into a lot of detail how this was accomplished.

You are right on, what a great rendition of this U2 classic. The only thing missing is the the female soprano at the end of the original but still a great cover. You mentioned good Christmas songs, I recommend David Phelps singing "O Holy Night" it is a live version and David is wearing a green sweater. You will never be able to hear this song again from another artist.

I love Chance so much too. He cuts into my heart especially when he sings with his wonderful lower baritone voice. Listen to him do Some Girls Do, Can't Outrun You, Yours, Castle on the Hill he leads much of it, and Cover Me Up. Be sure to watch that one to the end, something super special happens! Take care.
Peter's voice is warm Austin's voice is more clear sharper... Peter's is maybe in the same register, but that warm is a sort of roundness. THE difference between A Gong... and a Bell Peter being Gong like Austin Bell like.

I'd love to hear you react to a Peter Hollens solo - he's got a wide range and variety, folk album to Disney to all of The Greatest Showman and everything in between. For powerful, I'd recommend Hellfire. I See Fire is a good one, and anything from Greatest Showman. His wife Evynne is in some of his videos, and she's great too.
Adam Chance is officially listed as baritone harmony. He most often is referred to as "Chance" to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp.

Loved your reaction Schnell. You are correct. His name is Adam Chance but we call him Chance so as not to confuse him with Adam Rupp, the beatboxer. This was a great collaboration with Peter. He does have a great voice. He’s done lots of collaborations with Tim - Greensleeves, Sound of Silence, Bridge over Troubled Water. Also if you like Chance, try I Can’t Outrun You. It’s got lots of bass and is wonderful. Another old song by Home Free is What Child Is This? It has both Chris Rupp (who was replaced by Chance) and Chance in it. Tim goes really low in it. Also a new song off their new album is Winter Song which I love although there is no video. Can’t go wrong with Home Free. Keep reacting!

Wasn't this wonderful - Peter Hollens has done a number of these collaborations with virtual choirs of Patrons, and they're always done so well. He's a great acapella singer, and does very well harmonising with himself, when there isn't anyone else around to take the other parts. Home Free of course, though, have that bass and vocal percussion, that makes them something special - you can hear the difference between this and the other tracks on Peter's latest album. You've had some great suggestions for Chance, he's a great lead singer in his own right - he used to sing bass with another group, and did very well, but with Home Free he gets to do that and to take leads, and both they and him have benefited from it.
If you'd like to know more about Home Free's arrangement and production, that's down to a guy called Darren Rust, who they often refer to as the unofficial sixth member of the group. He's an experienced producer, but he also sings with a vocal group called The Blenders, who are well-known in the Mid-West. I'd never heard Adam Chance singing that high before. Given that he's taken the bass part occasionally when Tim has a solo, he's got serious range.
All those background voices were Ptereons and Peter coached most of them through their parts as to Resolutions I make the same one for the last 5 years - not to make any resolutions :)
I suggest "Sleepwalking" - an original by Peter Hollens... Peter is a vocal chameleon... He fits well with EVERYONE he collaborates with.
Peter and Austin are both Tenors as is Rob which is why Peter and Austin have a similar sound. I find that Peter has more volume in his voice than Austin. Adam is a Baritone like myself. I don't know what it is but it seems like us baritones use more rasp/grit in our voices.

For my tastes, when Adam Chance joined the group (after Chris Rupp left) it took them to another level. I loved them early on, but that love has grown with the addition of Chance.
If you like Adam Chance, look up the video for Yours it is a beautiful one.
Check out Chance's songs, "Cover Me Up" and " I Can't Outrun You". Or maybe, "Wayfaring Stranger", with Adam joining with the Fox and Hound. Shows his range.

Hi Schnell. When you were saying that Tim wasn't hitting the really low notes, did you hear throughout the song the occasional super deep "booms"? Knowing how these lads can make almost any sound, I'm guessing that was Tim. Listen again sometime, but carefully. You'll hear it for sure!
