Hi Steven. I noticed you pronounce it HAL-TA-NE. Do you know that it is supposed to be pronounced that way? Most other reviewers say HAL-TANE which made me curious.
I remember testing this late last year, and it immediately reminded me of Initio OFG. Certainly unique in it's own right and has the PDM DNA. Great buy 👌🏻
I have a tester and omg it’s an absolute show stopper. Right up my alley. Very similar to OFG which is my favorite fragrance ever. I think I may like the PDM just a little more. Absolutely amazing to my nose.

Great review. I was able to sample/tester strip at Nordstroms. Three days later still smells amazing! Totally get the “Oud for Greatness” comparison. This is brighter & cleaner in my opinion and provides a broader range of season to wearability. I’m adding it to my collection!

To me this is a 20/10 just like Kalan. Kalan to me is my favorite, but this one is unique as well but in a different way. Love Haltane

What make sense to me, is that people that don't like Kalan, are stuck in designer fragrances, that has to be it.
Or they spray it to close and multiple times on the same spot. The one I hate the most that I gave it away three days after was Carlisle. I preferred Bless Baraka a million times. Herod beautiful, Layton amazing, I love love the other PDM that gets a lot of hate but gets me tons of compliments is Habdan and Pegasus Exclusive.
For everyday wear love Persival, I hate Sedley is too too simple, love Galloway, and I was going to give away Greenley cuz it smells just like Aspen, but I started loving it last summer.
Thanks Steven. Great to see this one more widely available. I have a sample and love it. Fot me it sits somewhere between Initio's 2 Ouds ie For Greatness and For Happiness. The Praline accord is a winner.

Honestly, I hated the oud in this cologne, but the more i wore the sample i bought, the more i like it, the oud with the sweetness it has is so damn good like DAMN

This is amazing! I recall a review that established Haltane as exclusive to Harrods. The Official Launch Event sounds exciting, also the perfect opportunity to vet other Parfums De Marly fragrances focused solely on the brand. I hope e both can make it.
I love this so much more than Initio's Oud for Greatness (OFG). Unfortunately, OFG gives me a headache or starts to irritate me after a while, but Haltane doesn't pose that issue. One question, Steven: Who shared with you how to pronounce "Haltane"? I'm sure you're right, but obviously a number of other frag folks are pronouncing it with a hard "a" on the "tane" and without pronouncing the final "e." Just wanted to know what the story is behind that. Thanks!

I have a 20 ml decant of Carlisle. I save it for special occasions only. In his review, Steven mentioned that Haltane has notes of Saffron and Praline. I have never put my nose on either of these notes. I am also curious about the oud. I have extensively used oud attars from Abdul Karim al Faransi but I have never smelled Oud in a western fragrance. Hence, will be delighted to win a bottle of Haltane. Thank you, Steven for the review and this generous giveaway. Love from West Lafayette, USA.

Steven, when you gonna do an in-depth review of Theodoros Kalotinis' Tobacco Maniac Extrait de Parfum ? I got it yesterday, with the Coffee Addict, which you have already reviewed. These are really nice high end fragrances, and I hope you could explore the rest of the fragrances from them too.

The travel sprays are awesome. Haltane travel spray is $40 and you can carry with you. They last longer then you think

It is 95% similar to Oud Maknoon by Swiss Arabian. Oud Maknoon is super Long-lasting perfume with heavy projecting quality and just for C$ 54 for 45 ml at discounters, where as, PDM Haltane is for C$ 495 for 125 ml at Nordstrom. So if you buy 3 bottles of oud maknoon it will cost you C$162 for 135ml.Try oud maknoon before buying haltane, you will not regret and will thank me later.
I hate when they don’t offer a 50 ml.

So many people are talking about "sweetness". What sweetness?? Where? When? All I get is oud, oud, and more oud. I find Haltane to be incredibly funky and off putting. Who would want to smell like this? It's a stinky, heavy oud fragrance that is just too funky. This is a nasty, bad smelling fragrance. WHAT SWEETNESS - WHERE IS IT????

I know what you mean. The way I pronounce it in the video is the way I heard a PdM rep pronounce it, but I have heard multiple things.
