Casemiro insists he still has the energy and mentality to play in the Premier League, with the Brazil international looking to the future at Manchester United.
In what has been a difficult season at Man Utd, Casemiro, who has featured at centre-back in recent weeks under Erik ten Hag, has come in for criticism, with the 32-year-old questioned as to whether he can cope with the physicality and intensity of the Premier League.

Last year, whenever Casemiro went up to play a role on offense, Lisandro Martinez covered brilliantly the space that Casemiro left behind, but after his injury, there were no one that could help out Casemiro when he went up, making Casemiro to run all the way back again, causing his stamina to fall quickly. He also had multiple individual injuries this season, which caused his drop of form but when he got back, due to all of our center back missing from injuries, he had to play CB role for the first time in a dismantle team. He played absolutely brilliantly last year and our fans and the media switched up just after one season where every single one of our players except just few played rubbish. I believe in Casemiro and he should stay.

One of the best playersin Rel Madrid history can't become one of the worst in the world in one season! Remember that Casemiro came in last season and fixed and balanced our midfield. This year the squad has been hit hard with injuries and he had to play out of position, where it is not his role, CB is not his role. Yet to raise your hand and say I'll doit, knowing the hard critisisim you've going to get and still put yourself in that situatio for the benefit of the team shows real streanght and strong character. And probably he would admit this himself, and this is his part, he came a little overweight to the pre-season, if look at the footages it's there. Interesting that he's looking forward to playing at United next year, because I'm not sure United is looking forward to him playing for them next year. His lack of pace is showing, and when he pushes forward, he struggles to get back into position. It's also made him foul-prone. United are terrible, but Madrid do NOT sell players until they are on the downside of their career. (Case in point, Ronaldo) He can still play, I'm just not sure it's at this level anymore, as shown by him not being selected for his national team this summer.

I am not one of the people disrespecting or talking any bad about Cas but I do believe it’s time to leave while there’s a transfer fee. As great of a player he is he never should have been bought in the first place. United need to stop buying aging players. Look at the Mainos Garnachos Hoijlands. That’s the Fergie way. That’s the united way.

Unfortunately that is the nature of a world where everyone is as vocal as each other. Ill formed and frankly ridiculous comments gain momentum with an angry mob.
Like the manager Casemiro had a poor season relative to the first. United had no solid consistent defence all season, but pundits on Sky (and elsewhere) have claimed that that makes no difference… Honestly what is the point of such emotional and badly formed “opinions”?

Caremiro isnt good enough, too overweight - gets turned easily. need a fast hard nut no taller than 6ft. martinez needs a taller but nimble CB next to him as well and that will be solid. martinex has brilliant vision and agility - so they should build around him at the back
