I absolutely love the song “I’m Gonna Love You Through It”. I thought it was such a sweet song. Then in 2015, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. After that, I couldn’t get through the song without crying. She ended up beating breast cancer. Then in 2018, she relapsed. This time metastatic bone cancer. It was so bad, by the time they found it, that she had to have a rod put in her right leg. The cancer had destroyed her bone. It was in her right leg and her left arm as well as a small tumor in her spine. A few months later, two more small tumors were found in her right and left hip bones. She was really down. So down. I worried that she might be giving up. I sent this song to her. At that time, I had no idea it was about cancer. But it made me think of her. My mom is still fighting this fight and she’s rocking this fight! She is down to two tumors. The small ones are now gone. Her leg and arm are all that remain and they are both shrinking. She’s got medical bills stacked up, but she’s alive! Thank you for this song. I really believe it helped bring her fight back. ❤️
