    I own every Ryobi product ever made since 1943. My grandfather befriended Ryobi-san in WWII. He named my father Ryobi, as my father named me. My house is painted Ryobi yellow as are all of my clothes. I wrote three books on Ryobi products - 2 histories and 1 encyclopedia. And I have to humbly admit I learned a lot in this video.

    I used the smallest one cleaning the cooktop and oven and it was AMAZING! So much faster and much less effort. I’m going to clean my dirty bachelor’s bathroom next. I’m going to use a dedicated brush just for the toilet, too. My condo will soon be spotless. Move the spinning brush slowly over the dirty areas after applying your chosen cleanser. It’s the best tool I’ve bought in years.

    This would be perfect to clean out a kids waterslide bounce house. Ive always used a soft bristle push broom, and it was just a lot of work. Im going to definitely check this out, I already have 4 of the 4ah batteries. Nice review.

    The small one worked very well cleaning up my riding mower. It's also good cleaning up around the base of a toilet. I'm going back to get the soft blue brushes. I'm gonna take an aquarium down to test it on algae.

      I picked up the soft brushes. My headlights were looking a little hazey, so I put on wax with the small blue brush. They turned back almost perfectly clear. I'm not sure, but I may have to recoat the UV protection on them. They were redone with a Turtle Wax restorer kit 2 years ago.

    @jloomis7 Před 3 lety +11

    I would like to point out that if a person already has a drill or impact driver, you don't really need the whole tool, unless you want the telescoping model. You touched on this in the video, but it was quick. You can get two packs of either soft, medium or hard (with each containing a small brush head and a small,) for 10 dollars.

    • @bam-bam-boom1726
      @bam-bam-boom1726 Před 2 lety +5

      True…kinda
      I tried doing just that but I wanted to clean my tub and shower and the impact driver did a great job cleaning. However it tends to throw soap everywhere and my impact was covered in soft scrub soap by the time I was done. With the water proof feature I can just rinse it off when I’m done. Try that with an impact or drill

    proprietary brush heads. proprietary connection on their cordless power washer. this stuff stops a lot of potential buyers. they'll corner the market on brushes from the slim amount who want to buy a water resistant drill that only does one thing. hart just released their power washer, almost the same thing, but with soap attachment. i think ryobi goes after tools the 'pro' grade tool makers are ignoring, but they also just shoot themselves in the foot at times. i'll be sticking to the widely available anywhere you shop hex bit brush heads that work in any device that takes a hex head.

    Today my 4500 the big one showed up. First, there was no instructions in the box. Very limited on the box. Second, the on off is not what this guy says. You have to keep it pushed in to keep it going. Third ...the on button is in a very difficult spot to keep it pushed on. Four, the brush goes on VERY hard, and WILL NOT come off. Righty rtighty, lefty loosely......only if you are a gorilla maybe. Fifth, there is no locking pin to lock the shaft to remove the brush. SIXTH, not enough power. GUTLESS WONDER. Thinking about taking it back to Home Depot after I clean every floor in my neighborhood first. Then tell them it’s a P.O.S.
    Until Ryobi make these much needed changes, do not waist your money. In this video, this is a young guy with strong hands. Getting that brush off requires four hands. Two twisting the brush, the other two hand with a pair of large channel locks to hold the shaft. The switch IS really hard to find and turn on. It is not stay on by itself. It is hard to push.

    • @Shoptoolreviews
      @Shoptoolreviews  Před 3 lety +2

      I'm sorry to hear you are having different results than we did. You shouldn't have to hold the button "On". You should be able to "push-On" then "push-Off". It should stay On without you having to hold it. Yes, the brush fits tight, but it's not uncomfortable to remove/replace. I had instructions which said to turn counterclockwise to lock as did the arrow on the brush and someone on youtube, but the photo in the manual showed clockwise to lock. Same thing for me too Joe Pace, I got all three for Christmas. The P4500 after using it for 15 minutes it stopped. When you pushed the on button it would just go about 1/8 in and stop making a clicking sound. I took it back to Home Depot and they exchanged it and within 30 minutes the 2nd one did the same thing. It makes you think the battery has died but the head has actually frozen up. The P4510 has worked flawlessly so it isn't like I'm hard on it like Randy suggested. The P4500 just doesn't seem to hold up. Home Depot policy is that they will only replace the item one time and then you have to deal with Ryobi. I called Ryobi and they said it was a defective tool. I said both of them within 30 minutes? Needless to say I had them refund my money for the P4500.

      Many users already have batteries from other Ryobi tools, so it makes sense to just purchase the tool only. Thanks for watching.
