I own every Ryobi product ever made since 1943. My grandfather befriended Ryobi-san in WWII. He named my father Ryobi, as my father named me. My house is painted Ryobi yellow as are all of my clothes. I wrote three books on Ryobi products - 2 histories and 1 encyclopedia. And I have to humbly admit I learned a lot in this video.
I used the smallest one cleaning the cooktop and oven and it was AMAZING! So much faster and much less effort. I’m going to clean my dirty bachelor’s bathroom next. I’m going to use a dedicated brush just for the toilet, too. My condo will soon be spotless. Move the spinning brush slowly over the dirty areas after applying your chosen cleanser. It’s the best tool I’ve bought in years.
This would be perfect to clean out a kids waterslide bounce house. Ive always used a soft bristle push broom, and it was just a lot of work. Im going to definitely check this out, I already have 4 of the 4ah batteries. Nice review.
I was in home depot today was gonna buy for 99 bucks but not battery or charger. NO THANKS. But thank you for the video they all look great and you were very helpful. Much appreciated and Happy 4th of July brother.
The small one worked very well cleaning up my riding mower. It's also good cleaning up around the base of a toilet. I'm going back to get the soft blue brushes. I'm gonna take an aquarium down to test it on algae.
I picked up the soft brushes. My headlights were looking a little hazey, so I put on wax with the small blue brush. They turned back almost perfectly clear. I'm not sure, but I may have to recoat the UV protection on them. They were redone with a Turtle Wax restorer kit 2 years ago.
I would like to point out that if a person already has a drill or impact driver, you don't really need the whole tool, unless you want the telescoping model. You touched on this in the video, but it was quick. You can get two packs of either soft, medium or hard (with each containing a small brush head and a small,) for 10 dollars.
True…kinda I tried doing just that but I wanted to clean my tub and shower and the impact driver did a great job cleaning. However it tends to throw soap everywhere and my impact was covered in soft scrub soap by the time I was done. With the water proof feature I can just rinse it off when I’m done. Try that with an impact or drill
I’m looking to clear some grime off my shower and already have a ryobi drill. I can just buy the brushes to get the job done? I don’t really need the waterproof feature.
They are worth buying so you don't get your drill and battery wet. They spin much slower than a drill. And you don't have to control speed with a trigger. They are on or off. Really worth the money.
They should make a buffing pad option or a microfiber bonnet attachment to maximize the utility of this tool. I would love to use this on my truck to clean the roof and hood area, hard to reach being lifted. Scared to even try the soft bristle on it.
Now that I think about it, might not be too hard to fabricate your own using one of their stock brush plates and modifying it by joining another systems buffing pad plate to it. Stay tuned folks.
I just purchased the telescoping one Sunday, It does come with one green medium scrubbing pad. My wife and I used it on our bathroom shower and tub. It works great, it does the scrubbing for you.
proprietary brush heads. proprietary connection on their cordless power washer. this stuff stops a lot of potential buyers. they'll corner the market on brushes from the slim amount who want to buy a water resistant drill that only does one thing. hart just released their power washer, almost the same thing, but with soap attachment. i think ryobi goes after tools the 'pro' grade tool makers are ignoring, but they also just shoot themselves in the foot at times. i'll be sticking to the widely available anywhere you shop hex bit brush heads that work in any device that takes a hex head.
Thumbs down for not letting us hear the motor as your pressing down on it, this is the 2nd video that did this. This gives us a better idea of how hard the motor is working & how powerful it is while scrubbing, but you robbed us of that perspective except for a few seconds during the beginning of this video.👎Other than that you did a good job as usual reviewing these scrubbers and I do appreciate it so thank you for sharing.
Yes and what a great job it did! The grout water was brown from all the dirt and soap scum. Use the ZEP yellow bottle disinfectant and you'll have a super clean shower.
I hate to pass the buck on this, but I would have to say it depends. If you have tall glass, over 6', then I'd go with the P4500 (telescoping). However, if your glass doors/walls are easily reachable, then I'd go with the more compact P4510 18V scrubber.
